CuttingGrass
•Grassgrowsatdifferentratesatdifferenttimesof
theyear.Inthesummerheat,itisbesttocutgrass
atthe2-1/4inch(57mm),2-3/4inch(70mm),or
3-1/4inch(83mm)cuttingheightsettings.Cut
onlyaboutathirdofthegrassbladeatatime.Do
notcutbelowthe2-1/4inch(57mm)settingunless
thegrassissparseoritislatefallwhengrassgrowth
beginstoslowdown.
•Whencuttinggrassover6inches(15cm)tall,rst
mowatthehighestcuttingheightsettingandwalk
slower;thenmowagainatalowersettingforthe
bestlawnappearance.Ifthegrassistoolongand
theleavesclumpontopofthelawn,themowermay
plugandcausetheenginetostall.
•Alternatethemowingdirection.Thishelpsdisperse
theclippingsoverthelawnforevenfertilization.
