reading easier. It goes without saying that both genders are always implied
and addressed.
1.1 Images
The images used relate to a specific machine type. They may only be a
schematic representation of other machine types. The fundamental func-
tion and operation is not affected by this.
1.2 Warning notices
Activities with specific hazards (to life and limb or potential damage to the
machine) are indicated by warning notices. The instructions given in the
warning notices must be observed.

Electrical connection
The cables provided by the customer must be designed such that:
they correspond to the connected load of the machine.
no interference voltages or interference frequencies occur.
the response behaviour of the safety equipment meets the relevant
legal requirements.
The necessary cable cross-section must be determined while taking into account
the requisite installation type according to DIN VDE 0298 Section 4 and
DIN VDE 0100 Section 430. A power distributor with a residual-current circuit
breaker (as per VDE 0100 Section 704) must be provided on site. Country-specific
regulations must be observed. The minimum required cross-section of the power
cord is 4 m. A rubber-sheathed cable at least 5 x 2.5 m (400 V) or 3 x 4 m
(230 V) is required to extend the power cord.

6 Outrigger DA 6 / DA 1
6.1 Verification of stability
The stability must be verified for each usage site.
Verification consists of:
proving the load capacity of the roof structure. If necessary bring in
construction experts.
using the necessary number of counterweights and securing them
with a lock to prevent unauthorised removal.
checking the outrigger for damage prior to use.
checking the outrigger after mounting.
correct mounting of the outrigger.
correct bracing of the outrigger using the guy rope (Only for DA 6).
horizontal assembly of the outriggers (Maximum inclination of 3°. If
the inclination is greater, the outrigger must be supported using
suitable equipment.)
securing the outrigger to prevent rolling. Secure using wheel brake
or other suitable means.

7 Parapet bracket
7.1 Verification of safety
Verification of the safety of the parapet bracket consists of:
proving the load capacity of the parapet. The load capacity must be
verified for each usage site. If necessary bring in construction ex-
perts. The parapet must have a thickness of between 32 cm and
65 cm.
checking the parapet bracket for damage prior to use.
proving that no other loads are secured to the parapet bracket.
7.2 Mounting
Place parapet bracket (1) over the parapet. Push counter bearing (2)
against the inner side of the parapet and pin.
