CONNECTING THE SUCTION LINE
DANGER! The suction line must be installed so that it does not exert any mechanical
force or tension on the pump. If the conveying medium is contaminated, a suction
filter must be used to protect the pump from sand and dirt.
NOTE: A check valve is recommended so that the water does not run off when the
pump is shut off.
1. All connections must be sealed with thread sealing tape; leaks cause air exhaust
and reduce or prevent water exhaust.
2. All components of the suction line must be professionally installed.
3. The suction pipe should have an internal diameter of at least 25 mm; it must be
kink resistant and suitable for vacuum use.
4. The suction line should be as short as possible, since the conveying capacity
decreases as the length of the line increases.
5. The suction line should ascend steadily towards the pump to prevent air pockets.
6. Sufficient water supply must be assured; the end of the suction line must always
be in water.
CONNECTING THE PRESSURE LINE
DANGER! The suction line must be installed so that it does not exert any mechanical
force or tension on the pump.
1. All connections must be sealed with thread sealing tape; leaks cause air exhaust
and reduce or prevent water exhaust.
2. All components of the pressure line must be compression-proof.
3. All components of the pressure line must be professionally installed.
4. The device can also be connected firmly to a pipe system.
NOTE: Do not use with potable water unless a suitable filtration system is installed.
Check with your local municipality.

ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
DANGER! Do not operate the device in wet surroundings.
The device may only be operated under the following conditions:
1. The device may only be connected to outlets with protective contacts that have
been professionally installed, grounded and inspected.
2. Mains voltage and fuse protection must comply with the technical data.
3. When operating in swimming pools, garden ponds and similar places, the device
must be provided with a residual current of not more than 30 mA by means of a
residual-current- operated protective device.
4. When operating outdoors, the electrical connections must be splash-proof; they
must not lie in water.
5. Extension cords must have sufficient wire cross section; cable drums must be
completely unwound.
OPERATION
NOTE: Pump and suction line must be connected and filled.
FILLING AND INTAKE (SUCTION)
DANGER! The pump should be filled with water after each new connection or in the
event of water loss or air intake. Extended operation without a water refill
(unsupervised dry running) will destroy the pump.
1. Unscrew the pump cover (6).
2. Fill completely with water.
3. Reinstall the filter and screw the pump cover (6) and
seal back on.
4. If you want to shorten the intake time, fill the suction
line as well (only possible with the check valve).
5. Open the pressure line (turn on water faucet or nozzle),
so that air can escape during intake.
6. Switch on the device.
7. When water runs out evenly, turn the device off.
NOTE: We recommend installing a check valve between
the pump and the suction line, so that the water column remains in the suction line.
We recommend using a suction filter for better suction performance.

USAGE
DANGER! The pump must not be allowed to run dry. Sufficient conveying of medium
(water) must be on hand at all times.
DANGER! If the domestic water works is installed directly into the water distribution
network, it is important to note that the water pressure from this network is added
to the pump pressure. A total pressure of 60.5 PSI must not be exceeded.
NOTE: The boiler includes a rubber bellows, which is under air pressure from the
manufacturer, this enables small amounts of water to be removed without starting
up the pump. Check the pressure before operating the pump and increase it if
necessary. The pump must not be placed in direct sunlight since this could, under
certain circumstances, result in too high of pressure.
1. Plug in the mains plug.
2. Open the pressure line (turn on water faucet or nozzle).
3. Turn the pump on at the On/Off switch.
4. Check to be sure that water is coming out.
If the motor does not start up or the pump does not build up any pressure or if similar
faults occur, turn the device off and try to remedy the error. The pump is equipped with
a pressure switch. This turns the pump on if the water pressure in the boiler drops
below the start-up pressure due to water removal. The pressure switch turns the pump
off when the shutoff pressure is reached.
NOTE: The pressure switch is preset to the correct start-up and shut-off pressure by
the manufacturer.
DANGER! Only a qualified service technician is permitted to open and set the
pressure switch.
INCREASE PRELIMINARY FILLING PRESSURE
If over the course of time the pump starts up after just a slight removal
of water (approx. 1/2 litre), the preliminary filling pressure in the boiler must
be re-established.
1. Disconnect the mains plug.
2. Open the pressure line (turn on water faucet or nozzle), allow water to completely
run off.
3. Unscrew the plastic butterfly valve on the front side of the boiler, the air-control
valve is located behind it.

12 For technical questions call 1-800-665-8685
4. Attach an air pump or compressor hose to the air-control valve with a “tire valve”
connection and pressure gauge.
5. Pump up (inflate) to the designated preliminary filling pressure (the preliminary
filling pressure: 26.1 to 29 PSI).
6. Reconnect the device and check that it functions properly.
CARE & MAINTENANCE
WARNING! Disconnect the mains plug before carrying out any work on the device.
WARNING! Make sure that the device and connected accessories are depressurized
before carrying out any work on the device.
WARNING! All gaskets must be replaced after each disassembly of components.
1. Maintain the tool with care. A tool in good condition is efficient, easier to control
and will have fewer problems.
