1. General
Carefully read the instructions in this manual as they contain important information re-
garding proper, efficient and safe installation, use and maintenance of the appliance.
Keep this manual in a safe place for eventual use by other operators of the appliance.
The installation of this appliance must be carried out in accordance with the manufactur-
er’s instructions and following local regulations. The connection of the appliance to the
electric and water supply must be carried out by qualified persons only.
Persons using this appliance should be specifically trained in its operation.
Switch off the appliance in the case of failure or malfunction. The periodical function
checks requested in the manual must be carried out according to the instructions. Have the
appliance serviced by a technically qualified person authorized by the manufacturer and
using original spare parts.
Not complying with the above may put the safety of the appliance in danger.
1.1 Symbols used in the manual
This symbol informs about a situation where a safety risk might be at hand. Given instruc-
tions are mandatory in order to prevent injury.
This symbol informs about the right way to perform in order to prevent bad results, appli-
ance damages or hazardous situations.
This symbol informs about recommendations and hints that help to get the best perform-

1.2 Symbols used on the appliance
This symbol on a part informs about electrical terminals behind the part. The removal of
the part must be carried out by qualified persons only.
1.3 Checking the relation of the appliance and the manual
The rating plate of the appliance indicates the serial number of the appliance. If the man-
uals are missing, it is possible to order new ones from the manufacturer or the local rep-
resentative. When ordering new manuals it is essential to quote the serial number shown
on the rating plate.

2. Functional description
2.1 Application of the appliance
The Hot Dog Grill is designed for re-heating hot dogs, frankfurters, and other pre-cooked
sausages. It is also suitable for English style uncooked sausages, but will probably require
a higher thermostat setting. Hot dogs and frankfurters must be completely defrosted be-
fore cooking.

3.1 Before using the appliance
3.1.1 Unpacking the appliance
The machine has been tested and checked for proper operation before leaving the factory.
Upon delivery please check for any damage. If the unit is damaged contact the carrier im-
mediately. Please retain all packing materials. Damage must be reported within 3 days of
delivery.
3.1.2 Assembly instructions
Remove protective plastic covering from all surfaces.
Remove the grid and wash in hot, soapy water. Rinse and dry.
Wipe all steel surfaces with proprietary stainless steel cleaner or a clean, hot, damp
cloth. Dry thoroughly.
Replace the grid on the drive studs.
3.1.3 Installation
Position the Hot Dog Grill preferably in a place where the movement of the grid and the
sausages will attract customers’ attention.
3.2 Operation procedures
3.2.1 Operating instructions
Turn the red switch ‘ON’, the heating will start and the grid will travel up and
down.
Allow 20 minutes for the grill plate to pre-heat.
Temperature control is factory pre-set at 100°C.
Using tongs place hot dogs/frankfurters between the roller bars. The product will
be ready to serve in 10-15 minutes, depending on size and thickness. Recommend-
ed internal temperature for the product is 68-70°C.
The Hot Dog Grill operates on a “heat n’ hold” principle. The pre-set grill plate tempera-
ture will heat the products in a matter of minutes and hold them for several hours with lit-

tle or no deterioration in appearance or taste. The unique feature allows the Hot Dog Grill
to maximise the merchandising potential with minimal supervision. If any signs of dete-
rioration appear, the grill plate temperature should be lowered (see next chapter “Grill
plate temperature).
3.2.2 Grill plate temperature
The grill plate temperature has been factory pre-set at 100°C. This operating temperature
can be adjusted between 80-130°C. To change the temperature proceed as follows:
Press the button marked ‘SET’. ‘LI’ will appear in the window changing to the pre-
set temperature (100°C), flashing on and off.
While the number is flashing, press the up or down arrows on the right hand side
of the control panel to raise or to lower the operating temperature by increments of
5°C.
Press ‘SET’ again, the new temperature setting is now held in the control memory.
Allow 10 minutes for the new temperature to take effect.
3.3 After use
3.3.1 Cleaning
Switch ‘OFF’ the machine and remove the power plug from the wall supply.
Remove the grid and wash thoroughly in hot, soapy water using a soft brush.
While the grill is still warm, clean it with a soft, clean cloth wrapped around a small
quantity of ice chips and dry thoroughly.
Do not wash the grill surface with soapy water.
Clean all stainless steel surfaces and the control panel with a proprietary stainless
steel cleaner or a soft, damp cloth. Dry thoroughly. Replace the grid on the drive
studs.
The grill plate has an anodised coat. Do not use any abrasive materials, scouring pads or
sharp implements to remove food residue. These will damage the plate surface and inval-
idate the warranty.

Any servicing must be carried out by qualified personnel only. Always remove the ma-
chine from the power supply.

No power to the machine. Check that the machine is plugged in and
switched ON. Check the 16A fuse in the plug.
