1 Important Safety Information
1. Read these operating instructions carefully and keep in a safe place for future reference.
2. The appliance is not a toy! Keep children away and store the appliance out of the reach of children.
3. Children are unaware of the dangers of electrical appliances. Never leave children unattended while the ap-
pliance is within reach.
4. Make sure the mains voltage matches the specifications on the nameplate at the bottom of the appliance.
Run the appliance on AC voltage only.
5. Check that the mains lead is laid securely.
6. Unplug the appliance from the mains after use and before cleaning it.
Attention: The container and the steam in it become hot during operation.
7. While sterilising, hot steam will escape from the top part of the lid. Mind to keep away any household equip-
ment that may be damaged by the steam.
8. The appliance turns off automatically. Wait a few minutes before removing the lid. You will have to wait for
about 10 minutes before you can use the appliance again.
9. Do not unplug the appliance from the mains until sterilising is complete.
10. After sterilising, the bottles may be very hot. Be careful when removing them. Both the bottles and the ap-
pliance may contain condensed water.
11. It is recommended to sterilise both the bottles and teats again if they were sterilised more than 24 hours ago.
12. Do not immerse the appliance in water for cleaning.
2 Intended Use
The appliance is designed for sterilising baby bottles, including teats and accessories. Any other use is
considered unintended use. Unauthorised modification or reconstruction is not permitted. Under no
circumstances open the device or complete any repair work yourself.

The appliance sterilises 4 - 5

10 to 12 minutes.
Attention: The container and the steam in it become very hot during operation. Keep out of the reach
of children. The appliance is not a TOY! Do not immerse in water. Operate the appliance on dry, hard,
even and heat−resistant surfaces only. Unplug from the mains after use. Prior to use, check that the
mains voltage matches the specifications on the nameplate at the bottom of the appliance.

4 Assembling the Bottle Holder
1. Snap the holding bar (2) into the bottom base (3).
2. Place the bottle holder (1) on the holding bar (2) and
push down to the mark (4).
5 Use
1. Fill the measuring jug up to the mark with fresh water (approx. 60 ml to
70 ml).
2. Tip the content of the measuring jug into the pot.
3. Place the bottle holder in the pot.

4. Turn the bottles upside down and place them in the pot.
5. Put the accessories into the top accessories tray and place the tray in the
appliance. Then put the lid on the appliance.
6. Snap down the locking levers on the side to close the lid.
7. Press the Start button to start the steriliser. At the end of the process
(i.e. after about 10 to 12 minutes) the appliance will turn itself off.
The actual time depends on the number of bottles.
8. Do not open the appliance while sterilising is in progress. Before removing
the bottles and accessories, allow the appliance to cool down for 5 to 7 mi-
nutes.

9. Use the bottle gripper to take the bottles out of the pot.
Cleaning and maintenance
1. Before cleaning the appliance, always unplug it from the mains and tip out any remaining water.
2. Do not immerse the appliance in water.
3. Do not use scouring agent for cleaning.
4. You are advised to wipe the appliance with a dry cloth.
5. Limescale may deposit on the heater plate and reduce its heat output. Allow the heater plate to cool down
and pour 50 ml of vinegar into the pot. Allow the vinegar to act on the heater plate overnight. Wipe the heater
plate and all plastic parts with a damp cloth.
6. After cleaning, keep the appliance in a dry place.

6 Disposal
In order to dispose of your device, take it to a collection point provided by your local public
waste authorities (e.g. recycling centre). According to laws on the disposal of electronic and
electrical devices, owners are obliged to dispose of old electronic and electrical devices
in a separate waste container. The symbol indicates that the device must not be disposed of
in normal domestic waste!
Risks to health and the environment from batteries!
Never open, damage or swallow batteries or allow them to pollute the environment. They
could contain toxic and ecologically harmful heavy metals. You are legally obliged to dis-
pose of batteries at the point−of−sale or authorised collection points where the correspon-
ding containers are provided. Disposal is free of charge. The above symbols indicate that
the batteries must not be disposed of in domestic waste and that they must be disposed of
at an authorised collection point.
Packaging materials must be disposed of according to local regulations.

7 Guarantee
SWITEL equipment is produced and tested according to the latest production methods. Carefully selected
materials and highly developed technology ensure perfect functioning and a long service life. The terms of
guarantee do not apply to the batteries or power packs used in the products. The period of guarantee is 24
months from the date of purchase.
All deficiencies related to material or manufacturing errors within the period of guarantee will be redressed
free of charge. Rights to claims under the terms of guarantee are annulled following tampering by the
purchaser or third parties. Damage caused as the result of improper handling or operation, normal wear and
tear, incorrect positioning or storage, improper connection or installation or Acts of God and other external in-
fluences are excluded from the terms of guarantee. In the case of complaints, we reserve the right to repair or
replace defect parts or provide a replacement device. Replaced parts or devices become our property. Rights
to compensation in the case of damage are excluded where there is no evidence of intent or gross
negligence by the manufacturer.
If your device does show signs of a defect within the period of guarantee, please contact the sales outlet
where you purchased the SWITEL device, producing the purchase receipt as evidence. All claims under the
terms of guarantee in accordance with this agreement can only be asserted at the sales outlet. No claims
under the terms of guarantee can be asserted after a period of two years from the date of purchase and
hand−over of the product.
