Using the scent release function (optional)
Your air purifier can also disperse a pleasant scent. A scent release capsule may be purchased
from your dealer or directly from us. This unit comes with one scent release capsule. These
scents are pleasant, unobtrusive and subtle.
To use the scent release function:
The capsule is installed at the bottom of the lower enclosure of your appliance (see fig. 1).
To install, SWITCH OFF the unit. Remove the capsule from its protective wrapping. Open the
capsule cap by turning it in the direction opposite to that indicated by the arrow on the cap
(see fig. 1). Insert the capsule in the cap until the tabs catch the cap (see fig. 2). Insert the
complete cap (with the capsule inside it) into the air purifier and turn the cap in the direction
of the arrow (see fig. 3). Your air processor will now release a pleasant fragrance during
operation.
To replace the capsule, SWITCH OFF the unit. First remove the cap from the air processor by
turning it in the direction opposite to that indicated by the arrow (see fig. 1). Press the tabs
together and remove the used capsule (see fig. 4). Replace the used capsule with a new one
(see fig. 3).
To deactivate the scent release function:
Remove the capsule and store in a glass jar with a tight lid (if the capsule is still active). Store
the empty cap inside the lower enclosure.

Placement of the Air Processor 2000
The principle on which the ioniser works is ionisation. The process of ionisation accelerates the
fallout of pollutants from the air. These pollutants may adhere to surrounding surfaces, causing
a dark smudge. Therefore, the unit must be placed away fr
om all non-washable surfaces.
The Air Processor 2000 may be placed on a nightstand, table or desk with its air outlet facing
the user. In order to allow for proper air flow and to reduce particle buildup, always keep your
unit at least 45 cm (1.5 ft) from all walls. The air outlets should always face away from the
wall.
Caution:
Never place this unit in close proximity to electronic devices that contain electronic circuits, or
which can be damaged by electrical fields. Examples are: video tapes, audio tapes, floppy
disks, computers, wrist watches, touch lamps, radios, stereos, telephones, VCRs, etc.
Never place this unit on metal shelving or on any electrical device.
Routine Service and Cleaning
Regular maintenance of the unit will keep it operating at maximum effectiveness.
CAUTION: TO REDUCE THE RISK OF INJURY, UNPLUG THE UNIT DURING CLEANING
OR FILTER SERVICING.
Enclosure cleaning
Clean the outside of the unit at least once a week with a damp paper towel moistened with a
common household detergent. Use a soft brush to clean (lengthwise) the carbon filament on the
front of the outlet grill. Make sure not to damage the carbon filament when cleaning.
Cleaning the area around the unit
It is recommended to wipe the area around the air processor once a week with a wet paper
towel in order to remove any accumulation of dust.
Cleaning the washable filter (OPTION B)
It is recommended to clean this filter every 2 weeks.
To wash the washable filter, follow these steps:
a. Lift the filter cover and remove it from the air processor, then remove the filter cassette.
Clean the filter cassette by dusting it and then washing it in a mild detergent solution.
DRY THE FILTER CASSETTE COMPLETELY BEFORE REINSTALLING!
b. Install the filter cassette in its place on top of the air processor. Make sure that the filter
element is facing upward.
c. When replacing the filter cover, make sure to place the filter cover positioning rib first.
GB
STAGE 1 - OPTION A
Carbon pre-filter + HEPA type filter in one cassette
The carbon pre-filter absorbs smells and bad odours, including tobacco smoke. It also captures
larger air pollutants like lint, hair and large dust particles.
The sophisticated HEPA type filter is a microfiber glass air filtration material with the
remarkable ability to trap microscopic particles while allowing pure air to pass through. The
filter material itself is made much the same way as paper, except that glass fibers are used
instead of wood ones. This flat filter material is then pleated to give it an extended surface
area, increasing its air handling capacity.
The HEPA type filter has an exceptionally large filtering surface area: the unpleated area of
this filter is 0.3 m
2
. The filter is maintenance-free, durable and does not lose its 95% efficiency
over its lifetime.
How the Air Processor 2000 works
STAGE 1 - OPTION B
A washable filter that contains 5 layers.
Layer 1 Friction caused by air passing through the first honeycomb filter creates an
electrostatic charge that captures and retains pollutants, dust and dirt.
Layer 2 Open Pore Polyurethane Foam. The foam is highly permeable and has an extremely
high dust-holding capacity.
Layer 3 A second honeycomb filter that also captures and retains pollutants, dust and dirt.
Layer 4 A second Open Pore Polyurethane Foam.
Layer 5 A third honeycomb filter that captures and retains pollutants, dust and dirt.
Layers 1-5 are contained in a single, easy to clean cassette.
Cleaning the electrostatic filter
Put the Air Processor 2000 in its most
upright position and gently pull the
electrostatic filter out of the lower part of the
unit.
The filter should be washed in a dishwasher
using a warm (50-60° C or 120-140° F)
cycle and a mild detergent, or by hand in
warm water using a mild detergent.
Rinse the filter thoroughly and DRY IT
COMPLETELY.
Reinstall the filter, making sure it is pushed
completely into place.
It is recommended to clean the filter every 4
weeks.
Electrostatic filter
STAGE 2
Pre-ionisation plus electrostatic air filtration
Most of the minute (micron and submicron) pollutant particles (smoke, soot, etc.) are
precipitated from the air and captured by the electrostatic filter. Only an electrostatic filter can
precipitate such small particles effectively and quietly while using a minimum of energy.
At the pre-ionisation stage the pollutants are ionised and then are trapped by Amcor’s
exclusive multiple layers of expanded, non-corrosive aluminium screening which are
corrugated for an extended surface area. The electrostatic filter area is now larger than that of
previous models, resulting in a more efficient air purifier. The ionising elements and filters are
separate - making the Air Processor 2000 even more reliable and easy to clean.
STAGE 3
Scent Emitter
The user may add a pleasant scent to the air with the scent emitter option. The system is
environmentally friendly since it uses a blower to disperse the scent instead of dispersing
harmful fluor carbons. The scent comes in replaceable capsules which are easily inserted. The
scents are pleasant, unobtrusive and barely suggestive.
STAGE 4
Post ionisation
This stage is of utmost importance as it restores the natural balance of the air. After the air is
purified, it is further cleaned and ionised at the air outlet using Amcor’s patented carbon
filament process.
• Ionisation substantially reduces the amount of indoor bacteria in the air.
• Ionisation can frequently help asthma and allergy sufferers.
• Ionisation may help relieve weather-related maladies such as headaches, nausea
and physical aches.
• Ionisation may help lower tension, producing sounder sleep.
