Philips AZ 8240 features the capability to play a CD by inserting the disc into the front-loading tray. It can play, pause, stop, skip to the next or previous track, and fast forward or rewind. The CD player can also shuffle the order of the tracks and program a specific order for playback. Additionally, the device can store up to 29 preset radio stations for easy access and has a built-in tuner for listening to FM, MW, and LW radio bands. The Philips AZ 8240 also has a cassette deck that can record and playback cassettes.
