THE ORIGINAL SENDING UNIT PICK-UP TUBE AND FLOAT ARM ARE NOT LONG ENOUGH FOR THE
TALLER XL TANK, WE RECOMMEND THAT YOU USE OUR SENDING UNIT PART NUMBER
CJSUXL-1(INCLUDED)
IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT YOU USE AN IN LINE FUEL FILTER BETWEEN THE TANK AND THE
FUEL PUMP.
THE ORIGINAL 15-GALLON SKID PLATE CAN BE USED WITH OUR SKID PLATE EXTENSION SET
INCLUDED WITH THE XL TANK.
THE ORIGINAL STRAP ACROSS THE TOP OF THE TANK WILL BE TOO SHORT, USE OUR STRAP
PART NUMBER CJGTS-2(INCLUDED)
PLEASE CHECK THE DISTANCE FROM YOUR EXHAUST PIPE TO THE TANK, WE
RECOMMEND 3 INCHES MINIMUM CLEARANCE FROM THE TANK or 2 INCHES CLEARANCE
FROM THE SKID PLATE.
IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT THE BOTTOM OF THE FUEL TANK DOES NOT HANG DOWN
BELOW THE CENTERLINE OF THE REAR AXLE, IF THIS HAPPENS IT IS AN INDICATION OF
SAGGING OR BROKEN SPRINGS THAT MAY NEED TO BE REPLACED, OR THE BODY MAY
HAVE SETTLED ON THE BODY TO FRAME MOUNTS. REPAIR OR REPLACE THESE PARTS AS
NECESSARY TO RETURN TO ORIGINAL CLEARANCE HEIGHT.
This XL tank will not work on a SCRAMBLER, there is not enough clearance between the differential
and the tank.
