!
WARNING!
To ensure that you are operating the device safely, read the
operating manual carefully and observe the instructions in the
operating manual.
Do not operate the device if it is visibly damaged.
If this device's power cable is damaged, it must be replaced
by the manufacturer's customer service or a similarly qualified
person in order to prevent safety hazards.
This appliance may only be repaired by qualified personnel.
Inadequate repairs may cause serious hazards.
Never open the absorber unit. It is highly pressurised and can
cause injuries when opened.
If silicone sealant or similar is used, make sure it is processed
cleanly and without residue. If silicone threads come into
contact with hot parts or naked flames, there is a risk of fire.
Never check the device for leaks with an open flame.
Use only propane or butane gas (no natural gas).
The device may only be operated at the pressure specified on
the type plate. Use a DIN-DVGW-approved pressure regulator
with permanent settings in line with DIN EN 12864.
Dismantle all refrigerator doors when disposing of the old device
and leave the grids in the refrigerator to prevent anyone from
being locked in accidentally and suffocating.
!
CAUTION!
Danger of crushing! Do not put your fingers into the hinge.
A
NOTICE!
Check that the voltage specification on the type plate is the
same as that of the power supply.
Never pull the plug out of the socket by the connection cable.
Only connect the unit to the AC mains with the appropriate
connection cable.
Only use cables with the appropriate cable cross section:
The cooling device is not suitable for transporting substances
which are caustic or contain solvents.
Protect the device and the cable against heat and moisture.
The device may not be subjected to rain.

5 Intended use
Refrigerators RM5310, RM5330 and RM5380 are designed for installation
in caravans or motorhomes. They are designed solely for the cooling and
storage of food. The refrigerators are not designed for the proper storage of
medication.
The refrigerators are designed for operation on a 12 Vg voltage source and
on a 220 – 240 Vw mains supply, and can be independently powered by
liquefied petroleum gas (propane or butane). The refrigerators may not be
operated with natural gas or town gas.

6 Installing the refrigerator
6.1 Preparing for installation
When installing the refrigerator, note the following:
For the coolant to circulate properly, the refrigerator may not exceed an
incline of 3°.
To check this, park the vehicle in a horizontal position and check whether
the ice tray is level in the refrigerator.
The refrigerator must be installed in such a way that it is easily accessible
for service work, can be removed and installed easily, and can be
removed from the vehicle without major effort.
The distance between the refrigerator and the back wall must total at least
15 mm.
The refrigerator must be installed in a recess to prevent it from moving
when the vehicle moves. Observe the following relevant dimensions
(hxwxd in mm):
RM5310: 618 x 486 x 474, fig. 1, page 2
RM5330: 821 x 486 x 474, fig. 2, page 2
RM5380: 821 x 486 x 474, fig. 3, page 2
Provide an air inlet (fig. 4 1, page 3) and an air outlet (fig. 4 2, page 3)
with ventilation grilles in the exterior wall to allow generated heat to be dis-
sipated to the outside:
Air inlet: The ventilation grille should be as flush as possible with the
floor of the installation recess and have a cross-section of at least
250 cm².
Air outlet: preferably above the device It is also possible to use a
ventilation grille with integrated exhaust gas routing.
If the ventilation grille of the air inlet cannot be installed flush with the floor,
an additional air inlet (fig. 4 4, page 3) must be provided on the ground
to discharge escaping gas.
The air inlet and air outlet may not be covered by parts of the vehicle
during operation (e.g. by an open door or by attached accessories such
as bicycle racks).
If the distance between the structure door and the air outlet is
25 mm – 45 mm, install an installation kit (see chapter “Accessories” on
page 32).
There must be enough space on the back of the refrigerator to let the air
circulate around the cooling element.
EN
Installing the refrigerator RM5310, RM5330, RM5380
34
Provide a heat conduction plate above the refrigerator (fig. 4 3, page 3)
to prevent the heat from accumulating in the vehicle.
Install the device so that it is protected from excess heat radiation, as this
will impair the performance and increase the energy consumption of the
refrigerator.
The electrical installation must be performed in line with national and local
regulations.
European standards: EN 60335-1, EN 60335-2-24, EN 1648-1 and
EN 1648-2.
The gas installation must be performed in line with national and local
regulations.
European standard: EN 1949.
The refrigerator must be installed in a draft-proof manner in line with
EN 1949, see chapter “Installing the refrigerator in a draft-proof manner”
on page 34.
6.2 Installing the refrigerator in a draft-proof manner
Gas-operated cooling appliances in caravans and motorhomes must be
installed in a draft-proof manner according to EN 1949. That means that the
combustion air is not removed directly from the interior and the exhaust
gases are prevented from entering the living space directly.
Suitable sealing must be provided between the back wall of the refrigerator
and the interior of the vehicle.
!
The manufacturer recommends using flexible sealing to make the removal
and installation for maintenance purposes simpler.
Attach the sealing lips (fig. 5 1, page 4) to an attachment bar behind the
refrigerator, e.g. by using adhesive.
During installation, push the refrigerator against the attachment bar with
its sealing lips. The space behind the device is now sealed from the
interior of the vehicle.
WARNING! Fire hazard!
Do not use easily combustible materials such as silicone sealant,
assembly foam or similar to install the device in a draft-proof
manner.

6.3 Creating air inlets and outlets
I
Create an air inlet and an air outlet in the exterior wall with a size of
451 mm x 156 mm. Observe the instructions while doing so, see chapter
“Preparing for installation” on page 33.
If the ventilation grille of the air inlet cannot be installed flush with the floor of
the installation recess, you must install an air inlet in the floor:
Behind the refrigerator, in the area of the gas burner, create an air inlet in
the ground with a diameter of at least 40 mm (fig. 4 4, page 3). The air
supply pipe must lead directly to the outside. That allows escaping
unburned gas to escape outside.
Protect the end of the hole with a deflector to prevent mud or dirt getting
in while the vehicle is driving (fig. 6, page 4).
NOTE
At high ambient temperatures, the refrigerator can only provide
its maximum cooling capacity if the best possible air supply and
discharge has been provided.

6.4 Mounting the ventilation grilles
LS100
LS200
Seal the installation frame in a water-proof manner (fig. 9, page 5).
Fit the installation frame and bolt it tight (fig. 0, page 5).
Fit the ventilation grille and lock it (fig. a, page 5).
Only for LS100
Fit the insert for exhaust gas routing (fig. b, page 5).
6.5 Mounting the exhaust gas routing (fig. c, page 6)
Plase the T-piece (1) on the adapter (2) and the exhaust gas pipe (3)
Fix the T-piece, adapter and exhaust gas pipe in place with a bolt (4).
Make sure that the heat distributor (5) is in the correct position.
Push the exhaust gas pipe with the cover plate (7) through the opening in
the installation frame provided for that purpose (6).
Connect the exhaust gas pipe and the cover plate with the T-piece (1).
Shorten the exhaust gas pipe (7) to the right length if necessary.
