NOTE: This quick start guide provides important and useful tips before you start
the setup of your spa. However, it does not address all aspects of spa installation
and use, and you are still required to read, understand, and follow the owner’s
manual for proper installation, maintenance, and safe use of your spa.
• Power:Thisproductrequiresaminimumof13AMPS.Mosthouseholdcircuitsare15to20AMPS.Ifthe
circuitbreakertrips,pleasecheckthatnootherappliancesorotherlargeloadsareonthesamecircuitas
thespa.Neveruseanextensioncord.
• WaterHeating:Thisheaterwhenproperlysetupandrunningwillraisethewatertemperatureby2ºFper
hourPROVIDEDthespacoverisproperlyinplace.DependingonthestartingtemperatureoftheSpa
waterandexternalairtemperature,itwilltakesometimetoheatup.Ifthestartingtemperatureofyour
tapwateris70ºFandyouwantedtoraiseitby30ºFto100ºF,theheatingtimewouldbe30ºF/2ºFperhour
=15hours.Forsubsequentusetheheatingtimecanbeshortenedbymaintaininganidletemperaturein
thespa(seeHEATINGANDWATERTEMPERATUREsection).BesuretokeepthecoverontheSpawhen
notinuse.
• GFCI/RCD:ThisproductisprovidedwithaGFCI/RCDlocatedattheendofthepowercord.The
GFCImustbetestedbeforeeachuse.DoNOTusetheSpaiftheGFCI/RCDdoesnotfunction
properly.(Seepage4forpropertestingofGFCI/RCDinstructions).
• FilterCartridge:Keepthespawaterproperlysanitizedtoextendthelifeofthecartridge.Refertothe
owner’smanualfordetailedinformationonspawaterchemistryandbalance.
UNFOLDING AND INFLATING YOUR SPA:
• Whenyouunfoldtheinatablespatubyoumaynoticethesmellofthematerialthatisnormalfor
anewproductoutofthebox.Itisthereforerecommendedtoinatetheproductandleaveit
outdoorsforadaytoairandallowthenewproductsmelltodissipatesomewhatbeforellingthe
spawithwater.
• Spreadthegroundclothwiththebubblesfacingdownovertheclearedareawhereyouintendto
setupyourspa.
• Youwillnoticetheorangecoloredwarninglabelontheinsideofthespatub.Removethislabel,
familiarizeyourselfwithitscontent,anddisplayitintheproximityofthespawherealluserswillbeable
toseeitandreadit.
• Forspaination,familiarizeyourselfwiththespringloadedvalveonthespatubandtheination
outletonthecontrolbaseunittoassurefastandproperination.
Ination Outlet Tips:
• Thelargerendoftheinationhoseattachestotheairoutletatthebackofthecontrolbaseunit(see
owner’smanualfordrawingsandfurtherdetails).
• Toattachtheinationhosetotheairoutlet,unscrewthecapfromtheoutlet,insertthelargerendofthe
hose(theendwiththelockingcollar)allthewayintotheairoutlet,andthenturnthecollarclockwiseto
lockitinplace.
• Wheninationiscomplete,unscrewthecollar,pullouttheinationhose,andscrewthecapbackonto
theoutlet.
NOTE:
Toavoidover-ination,someairwillescapethroughthebottomair-bubbleoutletofthecontrol
baseduringination.Thisisnormal.
Spring loaded valve tips:
• Uponremovingthevalvecap,notethespringloadedpininthecenterofthevalve.Forination,
thespringloadedpinshouldbeintheup/raisedposition(closedpositionofthevalve)astheair
pressureofthepumpwillpushtheairthroughthevalveduringination.Checkthevalvepinand
assureitisintheup/raisedpositionbeforestartingination.
• Thepincanbepresseddownandlockedintherecessedpositionbypressingandturningit90°
clockwisewithyournger–thisistheopenpositionofthevalvethatallowstheairtoowout
freelyandthatisusedfordeation.
