equipment, read and familiarize yourself with the following operating
and safety instructions. SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS FOR FUTURE
REFERENCE. Save the original box and packaging. Use this packaging
to ship the equipment if repairs are needed.
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
To ensure safe operation, read the following statements and understand
their meaning. This manual contains safety precautions which are
explained below. Please read carefully.
Warning is used to indicate the presence of a hazard that will or can
cause severe personal injury or death.
Caution is used to indicate the presence of a hazard that will or can
cause minor or major personal injury if the caution is ignored.
NOTICE: Notice is used to note information that is important but not
hazard-related.
To reduce risk of injury or damage to the equipment
Use only grounded electrical outlets that match the voltage on the
nameplate.
Equipment must be installed by a qualified person and in accordance
with local codes and ordinances.
Use equipment in a flat, level position.
Do not use an extension cord with this equipment. Do not plug this
equipment into a power strip or multi-outlet power cord.
Turn off and unplug equipment before cleaning or moving.
Do not spray controls or outside of equipment with liquids or
cleaning agents.
Do not clean the equipment with steel wool.
Keep equipment and power cord away from open flames, electric
burners or excessive heat.
Do not operate unattended.
Do not operate if equipment has been damaged or is malfunctioning
in any way.
FUNCTION AND PURPOSE
This equipment is designed for illuminated display of food products at
temperatures between 85°F (29°C) and 175°F (66°C). It is intended and
to keep food at proper serving temperatures. while it is displayed for
sale. Food must be prepared and placed in display cabinets at proper
serving temperatures. It is not intended to cook raw food or to reheat
prepared food. It is not intended for household, industrial or laboratory
use.
UNPACK THE EQUIPMENT
When no longer needed, dispose of all packaging and materials in an
environmentally responsible manner.
1. Remove all packing material and tape, as well as any protective
plastic from the equipment.
2. Clean any glue residue left over from the plastic or tape.

INSTALLATION
Install the Light Bulbs and Light Covers
Prior to installing the shelves and doors, install the lights and light
covers.
1. Remove the light covers and light bulbs from their packaging.
2. Slide one light bulb in the lower receptacle slot.
3. Slide the light bulb into the upper receptacle slot.
4. Rotate the light bulb until it snaps into place correctly, seating into
the receptacles.
5. Install the light cover into the bracket. Set the cover edge on the
inside
of bracket edge. Starting at the bottom, press the light cover
edge on the inside of light bracket, continue to the top.
6. Repeat the steps to install the other light bulb and light cover.
Install the Shelves
1. Place the uprights into the provided slots making sure that the
longer tab is on top and the flat sides face inward.
2. Place the shelf supports at the desired locations and position the
shelf on these supports. The shelf supports and shelves can be
positioned level or sloping forward for improved presentation.
Install the Doors
The longer doors are for the customer/slopped side and the shorter
doors are for the operator/straight side.
1. Face door the handles toward the outside of the display case.
2. Place the top of each door into the top track and slide the door up to
clear, and then lower it into the bottom track.
Connect to Power
Plug the equipment into a properly grounded electrical supply that
matches the voltage rating on the nameplate.
NOTICE: Using a voltage other than the nameplate rated voltage will
cause damage to the unit. Incorrect voltage, modification
to the power cord or electrical components can damage
unit and will void the warranty.

FEATURES AND CONTROLS
OPERATION
NOTICE: Allow the display case to preheat for approximately 15
minutes before placing food into the case.
NOTICE: Food must be prepared and placed in display cabinets at
proper serving temperatures. Regularly check the food
temperature.
NOTICE: Monitor food temperature closely for food safety. The
United States Public Health Service recommends that hot
food be held at a minimum of 140 ºF (60 ºC) to help prevent
bacteria growth.
1. Adjust the thermostat control to the desired temperature, the pilot
light illuminates to indicate the case is heating.
2. Switch the light switch to the on position if desired.
3. To add humidity, fill the pan with water to a depth of approximately
¹⁄₂" (1.3 cm). Monitor the water level during operation.
4. Allow the display case to preheat for 15 minutes before placing
prepared, hot food into the case. When the display case has heated
to the set temperature, the pilot light will go out.
5. Place containers of food, at proper serving temperature onto the
shelves.
NOTICE: Distribute the weight evenly across the shelves.
6. When finished using the display case, turn the thermostat control to
lowest setting, switch the light switch to the “OFF” position and
unplug unit.
7. Use gloves, mitts or pot holders to protect hands when removing
pans of food.
8. If the water pan is used, allow the water to cool completely before
disposing of the water.
9. Follow the CLEANING section of this manual.
CLEANING
To maintain the appearance and increase the service life, clean your
equipment daily.
1. Unplug the equipment.
2. Allow the equipment to cool completely before cleaning.
3. Use a damp cloth or sponge dipped in soapy water to clean the
equipment. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
4. A high quality non-toxic glass cleaner may be used to clean the glass
components of the display case.
A Light switch. Switches the lights “ON” or “OFF”.
B Pilot light. Indicates the display case is heating. Not an ON/OFF light.
C Thermostat control dial. Used to set or adjust the temperature.
Water pan (not shown). Fill with water to add humidity.
CAUTION

Do not touch hot food, liquid or heating surfaces while
equipment is heating or operating.

Keep water and other liquids from entering the inside of the
equipment. Liquid inside the equipment could cause an
