o Connect the antenna cable labelled “2.4-
2.5 / 4.9-6 GHz” to the Wi-Fi antenna
connector.
o Connect the antenna cable labelled “3V /
5V GPS” to the GPS antenna connector.
• If you have purchased a ReliaCELL™ Cellular
Adapter, attach the ReliaCELL to the front panel
USB connector by following the instructions
included with the ReliaCELL. Then connect the 3-
in-1 antenna provided with your kit to the
ReliaGATE/ReliaCELL as follows:
o Connect the antenna cable labelled “2.4-
2.5 / 4.9-6 GHz” to the Wi-Fi antenna
connector on the ReliaGATE.
o Connect the antenna cable labelled “3V /
5V GPS” to the GPS antenna connector
on the ReliaCELL.
o Connect the antenna cable labelled “800-
1250 / 1650-2700 MHz” to the CELL
antenna connector on the ReliaCELL.
2. Connect to the network
Use an Ethernet cable (not supplied) to connect the
LAN1 port on the rear panel to your local Ethernet
DHCP-enabled network.
3. Connect the power cabling
• Connect the Ignition (yellow) and Power Control
(white) ring terminals of the Power Control cable to
the ground lug (GND) on the rear panel. (hand
tighten only)
• Attach the Power Control cable to the Power Cable
by connecting the mating connectors, then insert
the 4-pin connector into the ReliaGATE POWER
receptacle on the rear panel.
• Connect the 12 VDC power supply to the Power
Cable. Do not connect to AC power yet!
Feature Configuration
System features can be configured via the ReliaGATE’s
web server, or via the Everyware Cloud.
To configure features via the web server:
• Connect the Console Serial / Dual CAN Bus cable
to the green TxD/RxD connector on the rear panel
(the connector adjacent to the dual USB ports).
• Select the appropriate AC power cord for your
location and connect the 12 VDC power supply to
AC power. After several seconds, the operating
system will begin booting and sending console
output to the terminal.
• When the system boots, login with username
root
and password
root.
• For ESF settings:
o Obtain the unit’s IP address by typing
ifconfig eth1.
o On your PC, open a Web browser and enter
http://
ipaddress
where
ipaddress
is the
inet address displayed by the
ifconfig eth1
command.
o When prompted, enter the User Name
admin
and Password admin to bring up the Kura
Admin web page. Follow the instructions in
the ESF document to complete configuration
of your device via ESF.
o For IDP, follow the instructions for IDP
licensing (link below) to complete
configuration of your device via Wind River
IDP Platform XT 2.
To configure features via the Everyware Cloud:
Select the appropriate AC power cord for your
location and connect the 12 VDC power supply to
AC power. After several seconds, the operating
system will begin booting. Once the operating
system boots, the ReliaGATE will become visible
to the Everyware Cloud.
• Use the credentials indicated on the sticker applied
to the first page of this guide to log in to the
Everyware™ Cloud console on the Internet. The
EDC console will list the time of the connection
with a “Birth Certificate” entry in “Events” section
in the bottom pane..
• Use the Everyware Cloud Developer’s Guide to
guide you through the configuration process.
