Disconnect Power at the main circuit breaker panel or main fuse
box before starting and during the installation.
LOOP/CHAIN LINK MOUNT
1) Lower the arms down towards fixture body. Place plates at
ends of arms on arch on top of fixture body. Align holes in
plates at end of arms with holes along top of fixture body.
2) Thread screws into holes in plates and into holes in fixture
body. Tighten screws to secure arms to fixture body.
3) Pass fixture wire through hole in threaded pipe at end of
stem. Screw threaded pipe on end stem into couplings.
NOTE: Thread locking compound must be applied to all
stem threads to prevent accidental rotation of fixture during
cleaning, relamping, etc.
4) Pass fixture wire through remaining stems and screw stems
together.
5) Thread one small threaded pipe into end of each small loop.
6) Pass fixture wire through first loop. Thread first loop onto
each end of last stem.
7) Pass fixture wire through second loop and through hole in
canopy.
8) Pass threaded pipe at end of each second loop through
holes in canopy.
9) Pass fixture wire through lockwasher. Thread lockwashers
onto end of threaded pipes protruding from inside canopy.
10) Pass fixture wire through hexnut. Thread hexnuts onto end
of threaded pipes.
11) Attach chain link to small loop at end of each stem and to
loop on canopy.
12) Find the appropriate threaded holes on mounting strap. As-
semble mounting screws into threaded holes.
13) Attach mounting strap to outlet box. Mounting strap can be
adjusted to suit position of fixture.
14) Grounding instructions: (See Illus. A or B)
A) On fixtures where mounting strap is provided with a
hole and two raise dimples. Wrap ground wire from
outlet box around green ground screw, and thread into
hole.
B) On fixtures where a cupped washer is provided. Put
ground wire from outlet box under cupped washer and
green ground screw and thread screw into hole in
mounting strap.
If fixture is provided with ground wire. Connect fixture
ground wire to outlet box ground wire with wire connector,
after following the above steps. Never connect ground wire
to black or white power supply wires.
15) Make wire connections. Reference chart below for correct
connections and wire accordingly.
16) Push fixture to ceiling, carefully passing mounting screws
through holes in canopy. NOTE: Be certain wires do not get
pinched between mounting plate and canopy
17) Thread lock-up knobs onto mounting screws. Tighten lock-
up knobs to secure fixture to ceiling.
18) Insert recommended bulbs. (Not supplied)

*Note: When parallel wires (SPT I & SPT II)
are used. The neutral wire is square shaped
or ridged and the other wire will be round in
shape or smooth (see illus.)
Neutral Wire
RIGID STEM MOUNT
1) Follow steps 1-4 in Loop/Chain Link/Loop Instructions
2) Remove small loops from the canopy. NOTE: The lockwash-
ers and hexnuts will be used in step 4.
3) Remove threaded pipes from small loops.
4) Pass fixture wire through the small threaded pipe removed
from small loop. Thread small threaded pipe into end of each
last stems.
5) Pass fixture wire through the hole in canopy. Lower canopy
down towards stems. Pass holes in canopy over end of
threaded pipe on each of the last stems.
6) Pass fixture wire through lockwasher. Thread a lockwasher
onto each of the threaded pipes protruding from inside
canopy.
7) Pass fixture wire through hexnut. Thread a hexnut onto each
end of threaded pipes.
8) Follow steps 12-18 in Loop/Chain Link/Loop Installation
instructions.
