Household use only
Before using Hand/Stand Mixer
Before assembling the Stand mixer, be sure the power cord is unplugged from the power outlet and the speed
selector is in the OFF position.
1. Attach the hand mixer to the Base as illustrated in Fig.1. To detach the hand mixer, push the hand mixer
in the arrow indicated direction while the Tilt button is depressed. (Fig. 2) And hold the head of
mixer to tilt position while depressing the Tilt Button. (Fig.3)
2. Select the desired attachments, which are depending on the mixing task to be performed: beaters for
whisking, mixing and beating, or dough hooks for kneading.
3. Inserting the Beaters / dough hooks
a) Beaters can be inserted in either socket, as the beaters are identical.
B) For dough hooks, the one with washer can only be inserted into the big socket and the other one can
only be inserted into small socket.
Note: Ensure both beaters or dough hooks are fully inserted into the correct sockets or your mixing
results may be affected.
4. Place the plastic mixing bowl on position.
5. To lower the head and beaters / dough hooks into the mixing bowl, depress the Tilt Button while holding
the head with the other hand and ease the head down. (Fig. 4) A click sound will be heard when the head
has reached the correct position.
Using your Hand / Stand mixer
1. With the speed selector in the OFF position, plug the cord into power outlet.
2. Turn the Speed selector to your desired speed and begin mixing. The mixing speed will be increase by 1/3
when turbo button is depressed whenever the speed selector is in 1-5 position.
Tip: Always start mixing at slow speeds and increase the speed gradually to prevent ingredients splashing
out of the mixing bowl. When adding dry ingredients use the lowest speed to prevent the snow storm
effect.
3. The max operation time per time shall not exceed 5 minutes and minimum 4 minutes rest time must be
maintained between two consecutive cycles. When kneading yeast dough, suggest the speed selector is in
1 or 2 position to achieve best results. When mixing is complete, turn the speed selector to OFF position
and unplug the cord from power outlet.
4. Scrape the excess food particles from the beaters or dough hooks by rubber or wooden spatula.
5. Hold down the Tilt button and ease the head of the mixer back until the mixer head is locked into the tilt
position.
6. To remove the beaters/dough hooks, place fingers loosely around the spindles and press the Eject button
firmly down.
7. The hand mixer can be used separately without the Base in position.
Note: The bowl is designed to turn automatically when mixing but depending on the consistency and
quantity of the ingredients this may not happen. In this case the bowl should be turned by hand.
Cleaning and Maintenance
1. Unplug the appliance and wait until it completely cool down before cleaning.
2. Wipe over the outside surface of the head and Base with a dampened cloth and polish with a soft dry
cloth.
3. Wipe any excess food particles from the power cord.
4. Wash the mix bowl, beaters and dough hooks in warm soapy water and wipe dry. The beaters and dough
hooks may be placed washed in the dishwasher.
Caution: Do not place the mixing bowl in the dishwasher.
Cookery Tips
1. Refrigerated ingredients, ie butter and eggs should be at room temperature before mixing begins. Set
these ingredients out ahead of time.
2. Assemble all ingredients and utensils near the mixer.
3. To eliminate the possibility of shells or deteriorated/off eggs in your recipe, break eggs into separate
container first, then add to the mixture.
4. When mixing egg whites, be sure the bowls and beaters are thoroughly cleaned and dried. As even the
smallest amount of oil on beaters or bowl may cause the egg whites not to aerate.
5. Always start mixing at slow speeds. Gradually increase to the recommended speed as stated in the recipe.
6. Do not over-beat. Be careful that you only mix/blend mixtures until recommended in your recipe. Fold in
dry ingredients only until just combined. Always use the low speed. At any stage of mixing, over beating
can cause toughness, close texture, lack of rising or excessive shrinkage.
7. During mixing, ingredients may splash to the sides of the bowl. To scrape the bowl, turn the beaters to the
OFF position and using a plastic or rubber spatula, scrape the bowl. NEVER USE A KNIFE, METAL
SPOON OR FORK, as this may cause damage to the beaters and bowl. A light scraping after the addition
of each ingredient assists in achieving efficient mixing.
