DeWalt D512565 is a piston/driver assembly for use with DeWalt D512565 16 GA. Finish Nailer, Type 2 only. The kit includes a driver blade, O-ring, and a tube of grease. To use the device, first disconnect the air from the tool and remove all nails. Then, remove the four screws from the top cap with a 4mm Allen wrench and remove the piston/driver subassembly, cylinder, bumper, bumper plate, and bulkhead hold-down from the tool. Read and understand tool instruction manual before attempting
repairs.
Use only genuine D

WALT replacement parts.
Always wear ANSI compliant eye protection.
Disconnect air from tool and remove all nails before servicing.
Always point tool in safe direction when reconnecting air supply.
CAUTION:
Do not allow dirt, dust or other foreign materials to enter the tool.
Be careful not to scratch or damage the O-rings or any internal
surfaces.
1. Disconnect air from tool before servicing or repairing.
2. Remove all nails from the magazine and nosepiece before
servicing or repairing.
3. Remove 4 screws from top cap (A) with 4mm Allen wrench
provided in kit box (Fig. 1).
4. Remove piston/driver subassembly (C), cylinder (D), bumper (E),
bumper plate (F), and bulkhead hold-down (G) from the tool
(Fig. 2).
5. Lubricate piston/driver O-ring (H) with the grease provided (Fig. 3).
6. Place bumper (E) onto bottom of cylinder (D) (Fig. 5).
7. Place piston/driver subassembly (C) back into cylinder (D) (Fig. 5).
8. Place bumper plate (F) through the piston/driver subassembly (C)
and onto the bottom of the bumper (E) (Fig. 5).
9. Slide the cylinder/bulkhead/piston/driver/bumper/bumper plate
into the tool so the piston/driver subassembly slides down the
driver blade channel in the nosepiece (Fig. 6).
NOTE: The tip (I) of the piston/driver subassembly (C) has a
angled surface on the back side of the blade. Make sure the
piston/driver subassembly’s (C) angled surface is facing towards
the back of the tool. Slide the piston/driver subassembly (C) down
the driver blade channel into the nosepiece (Fig. 4).
10. Place entire cylinder sub-assembly back into the tool. Be sure to
properly seat the bulkhead hold-down (G).
11. Ensure top gasket (J) is properly placed between the top cap and
frame before fastening the top cap (Fig. 6).
12. Replace top cap (A) and fasten 4 screws with a 4mm Allen
wrench.
13. Tighten screws snugly to prevent leaks.
14. Ensure trigger and contact trip are working smoothly.
15. Set pressure on compressor or air line at 80 psi.
16. Pointing tool in safe direction, connect tool to air supply. Tool must
not leak air.
17. Check for proper operation of tool. If tool continues to leak air or if
problems persist, take the nailer to a D
EWALT service center.
18. If warning labels are missing or damaged, request replacements
from a D
EWALT service center.

Débrancher l’outil du circuit d’alimentation en air et retirer tous les

l’outil au circuit d’alimentation en air.
MISE EN GARDE :
Protéger l’intérieur de l’outil de toute poussière, saleté ou tout autre
matériau étranger.
Ne pas rayer ou endommager les joints toriques et les surfaces
internes.

1. Débrancher l’outil du circuit d’alimentation en air avant d’effectuer
tout entretien ou réparation.
2. Retirer tous les clous du chargeur et du nez avant d’effectuer tout
entretien ou réparation.
3. Enlever les quatre vis du capuchon supérieur (A) au moyen de la
clé Allen de 4 mm fournie avec le kit (fig. 1).
4. Retirer le sous-ensemble piston/enfonceur (C), le cylindre (D), la
butée (E) la plaque de butée (F) et le dispositif de fixation du
boîtier (G) de l’outil (fig. 2).
5. Lubrifier le joint torique (H) de l’ensemble piston/enfonceur en
utilisant la graisse fournie (fig. 3).
6. Placer la butée (E) au fond du cylindre (D) (fig. 5).
7. Remettre le sous-ensemble piston/enfonceur (C) dans le cylindre
(D) (fig. 5).
8. Insérer la plaque de butée (F) au travers du sous-ensemble
piston/enfonceur (C) et contre le fond de la butée (E) (fig. 5).
9. Insérer cylindre/boîtier/piston/enfonceur/butée/plaque de butée
dans l’outil de façon à ce que le sous-ensemble piston/enfonceur
glisse le long du canal de la lame de l’enfonceur jusque dans
l’embout (fig. 6).
REMARQUE : La pointe (I) du sous-ensemble piston/enfonceur
(C) comporte une surface angulaire à l’arrière de la lame.
S’assurer que cette surface angulaire du sous-ensemble (C)
est bien orientée vers l’arrière de l’outil. Faire glisser le sous-
ensemble piston/enfonceur (C) le long du canal de la lame de
l’enfonceur jusque dans l’embout (fig. 4).
10. Remettre tout le sous-ensemble cylindre dans l’outil. S’assurer de
remettre correctement le dispositif de fixation du boîtier (G).
11. S’assurer que la garniture supérieure (J) est placée correctement
entre le capuchon supérieur et le boîtier avant de fixer le capuchon
supérieur (fig. 6).
12. Remettre le capuchon supérieur (A) et fixer les quatre vis au
moyen de la clé Allen de 4 mm.
13. Serrer fermement les vis pour prévenir les fuites.
14. S’assurer que la gâchette et le déclencheur par contact fonction-
nent correctement.
15. Régler la pression du compresseur ou du circuit d’alimentation en
air à 80 lb/po.
16. Orienter l’outil dans une direction sûre et le raccorder au circuit
d’alimentation en air, en s’assurant qu’il n’y a aucune fuite d’air.
17. S’assurer que l’outil fonctionne correctement. En cas de fuite d’air
ou d’un problème quelconque, apporter l’outil à un centre de
service D
EWALT.
18. En cas de perte ou d’endommagement des étiquettes d’avertisse-
ment, contacter un centre de service D
EWALT.

PRECAUCIÓN:

1. Desconecte el aire de la herramienta antes de reparar o
mantenerla.
2. Saque todos los clavos del cargador y la tobera antes de
reparar o mantener la herramienta.
3. Quite los 4 tornillos de la tapa superior (A) con la llave allen de
4 mm incluida en la caja (Fig. 1).
4. Retire la sub-unidad del pistón/impulsor (C), el cilindro (D), el tope
(E), la placa de contacto (F) y el sujetador del tabique (G) de la
herramienta (Fig. 2).
5. Lubrique el anillo tórico del pistón/impulsor (H) con la grasa
incluida (Fig. 3).
6. Coloque el tope (E) al fondo del cilindro (D) (Fig. 5).
7. Coloque la sub-unidad del pistón/impulsor (C) de vuelta en el
cilindro (D) (Fig. 5).
8. Pase la placa de contacto (F) a través de la sub-unidad del
pistón/impulsor (C) y colóquela sobre el fondo del tope (E) (Fig. 5).
9. Deslice la sub-unidad de cilindro/tabique/pistón/impulsor/tope/
placa de contacto dentro de la herramienta de manera que la sub-
unidad del pistón/impulsor se deslice por el canal del álabe del
impulsor en la tobera (Fig. 6).
NOTA: La punta (I) de la sub-unidad del pistón/impulsor (C) tiene
una superficie angulada en el lado trasero del álabe. Asegúrese
de que la superficie angulada de la sub-unidad del pistón/impulsor
(C) quede dirigida hacia la parte trasera de la herramienta. Deslice
la sub-unidad del pistón/impulsor (C) por el canal del álabe del
impulsor en la tobera (Fig. 4).
10. Coloque la sub-unidad completa del cilindro de vuelta en la
herramienta. Asegúrese de que el sujetador del tabique (G)
quede bien instalado.
11. Asegúrese de que la junta superior (J) esté colocada apropiada-
mente entre la tapa superior y la estructura antes de fijar la tapa
superior (Fig. 6).
12. Reponga la tapa superior (A) y coloque los 4 tornillos con una
llave allen de 4 mm.
13. Apriete los tornillos con firmeza para evitar fugas.
14. Cerciórese de que el gatillo y el activador por contacto estén
funcionando sin problemas.
15. Ajuste la presión del compresor o la línea de aire a 80 psi.
16. Apunte la herramienta en una dirección segura y conéctela a la
alimentación de aire. La herramienta no debe tener fugas.
17. Revise que la herramienta funcione apropiadamente. Si persiste
la fuga de aire o sigue habiendo problemas, lleve la clavadora a
un centro de servicio D
EWALT.
18. Si las etiquetas de advertencia se pierden o se dañan, pida un
reemplazo gratuito a un centro de servicio D
EWALT.
