DESCRIPTION
With its metal housing, the SI-MAX is the essential solution to deter all the intruders thanks to its very
high power sound!
In alarm, the SI-MAX draws its energy only in the backup battery to prevent damage of the charger of
the control panel.
An automatic limitation of the load current at 100 mA, even permits several sirens supplied by the
same control panel without risk.
The ISBC function (Intelligent System of Battery Charging) adjusts automatically the charging
voltage of the battery at 13,8V, the SI-MAX guarantees its full power even when the external power
supply delivers 12V only.
INSTALLATION
The SI-MAX is exclusively provided for an indoor use. It is fixed on
a vertical wall and flat surface greater than the surface of its box,
leaving at least 2 cm on each side. Fix the back plate of the SI-
MAX using 4 screws with cylinder head diameter of 4 to 5 mm (not
supplied).
The removal tamper is ensured by a screw of 60-70mm of length
and 4 to 5 mm of diameter (not supplied) that should be positioned
as shown against. It must be screwed into the wall until its head
comes into contact with the electronic circuit without forcing.
The opening tamper is ensured automatically by the slide switch
actuated by the screw cover.
It is imperative to test and verify the proper functioning of the
audible and the tampers after the installation.
It is strongly recommended to check periodically the proper tightening of connections and the status of
the backup battery and replace it if necessary.

Before wiring the tamper, check that the circuit does not exceed 60VDC/0,1A.
Check the correct operation of the tamper after the installation by lifting the cover.
If the equipment that drives the SI-MAX is not the same that the one which provides the
power, you have to connect the terminal « 0V » to this equipment to obtain a common
reference.
WARNING ! The SI-MAX will start to trigger only with the internal battery.

OPERATION
The SI-MAX has two blocking inputs that can be setup: the first (INPUT 1) triggers the modulation
of the intrusion alarm, the second (INPUT2) triggers the discontinuous modulation. The operating
mode of each input can be setup with 5 switches.

By default, the « INPUT1 » is the only one that can trigger by disappear of a positive blocking signal,
« INPUT 2 » being disabled, the configuration switch N°5 must be set to ON in order to allow this
operation.
At power up, regardless the state of blocking inputs, the SI-MAX does not trigger. The inputs must first
be armed (return to a normal blocking state) during at least one second to permit every triggering.
If an input is set by appear, the SI-MAX triggers when the control voltage appears.
At the triggering of any blocking input, the alarm is activated for a period of 31 minutes or until the
return to a normal state of the corresponding input.
« INPUT 1 » has the priority and can interrupt the alarm triggered by the « INPUT 2 » and start the
intrusion modulation.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
During the tests, wear a hearing protective helmet or hold you at a reasonable distance
of the SI-MAX.
Do not perform any operation on SI-MAX in stormy weather.
Use only the type of the batteries indicated on the specifications table
Destruction of the batteries
The backup battery for the SI-MAX is not supplied by ATLS. However, do not dispose of batteries in
your trash, it is forbidden to cremate, bury them or throw them into landfills. Dispose batteries
according to the current laws and regulations. Please contact relevant authorities for further
information on the arrangements taking place in your country to collect, to recycle and to dispose of
used batteries.
Destruction of the product
As required by the WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment), electrical and electronic
equipment must be disposed separately from normal household garbage to promote their re-
use, recycling and other forms of recovery, as well as limit the amount of waste requiring
disposal and thereby reduce the landfill. When disposing of such products, please follow the
instructions of local authorities and / or check with your provider when purchasing a new
product.

WARRANTY
ATLS provides a guarantee of 5 years from the date of the manufacture.
The year and month of manufacture appear on the label serial number placed
inside the device.
The warranty does not cover non-functional damage such as scratches, broken by
a fall or shock or degradation caused by abnormal use.
The guarantee applies only to cards and electronic assemblies and does not cover damage caused by
natural or artificial surges.
The guarantee applies only if the electronic part has not been dismantled, disturbed or transformed.
The warranty is strictly limited to repair or exchange parts that we found defective.
Return costs are still born by the sender.
The detention of equipment under warranty won’t give rise to any compensation for any reason
whatsoever.
The responsibility of A.T.L.S. is limited to the repair of products and do not extend to the
consequences of their use, their implementation or their non-functioning.
