INTRODUCTION

Congratulations. You have purchased the Model CD-RH-HID35W or CD-RH-HAL100W, the

most advanced handheld spotlight available today. We have refined the technology

found in luxury car headlights and made it practical and affordable for use as a handheld

spotlight. Xenon HID technology provides a light that gives four times

the light per watt

of electricity compared to Halogen technology, providing an incredibly bright and visible

These lights are made of Thermoplastic Rubber (TPR) and completely sealed – This

means they are built tough enough to survive a drop on concrete or into water.

QUICK START

1. Remove your Model CD-RH-HID35W or CD-RH-HAL100W Handheld light from

its packaging.

2. Read the safety warning on page 2 of these instructions.

3. Plug the “cigarette lighter” style plug at the end of the coiled cord into any “cigarette

lighter” style outlet providing 12 Volts DC.

4. Push the “ON / OFF” button to light the spotlight.

5. Enjoy the light.

HOW TO USE THE

MODELS CD-RH-HID35W AND CD-RH-HAL100W

The Model CD-RH-HID35W is designed to be easy to use. Start the light by pushing and

releasing the “ON / OFF” button. The HID is a ballast controlled light, full brightness is

reached in a few seconds. The Halogen light will light to full output instantly.

The Models CD-RH-HID35W and CD-RH-HAL100W can be used in a variety of ways.

They are designed to be used overhead for spotting targets at long range or lantern style

for sweeping areas close by. The overhead style, illustrated below, takes advantage of

the intuitive aiming ability of your hand and arm. The angle of the handle opening is

designed to feel “natural” when aiming the light in the direction you are facing. When

held in the right hand, your fingers operate the switch. The lantern style, also illustrated

below, is the traditional method of holding the light. The handle angle gives a slight

downward angle to the beam. When held in the right hand, your thumb operates the

switch.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

1. The Models CD-RH-HID35W and CD-RH-HAL100W require no maintenance.

2. It may be cleaned with most common household cleaners. Do not use caustic

cleaners containing lye, caustic soda, or acids. They may discolor the case

and etch the glass lens.

TROUBLESHOOTING / SERVICE

1. There are no user serviceable parts in the Models CD-RH-HID35W or CD-RH-

HAL100W. It is designed for many years of trouble free operation.

2. If the MODEL CD-RH-HID35W or CD-RH-HAL100W ever fails to light, please

call Havis-Shields Equipment Corporation Customer Service toll free at 1-800-

524-9900.

WARRANTY

The manufacturer warrants the Models CD-RH-HID35W and CD-RH-HAL100W Handheld Spotlight, to

the original user, against defective material or workmanship for a 2 year period from the date of purchase.

The manufacturer’s responsibility under this warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of the

defective part or parts. The manufacturer reserves the right to determine whether the parts failed because

of defective material, workmanship, or other causes. Failures caused by accident, alteration, or misuses are

not covered by this warranty. All warranty repairs must be done by Havis-Shields Equipment Corp. Any

repair to the light, other than by Havis- Shields, voids the warranty. Users in countries other than the USA

and Canada should contact the Dealer from whom the unit was purchased. The rights under this warranty

are limited to the original user and may not be transferred to subsequent owners. Proof of purchase is

required for lights manufactured more than 24 months prior to the date of the warranty claim.
