The DVD Recorder provides
digital and analog audio
outputs, along with composite,
S-Video, and component video
outputs. To make your home
entertainment experience more-
enjoyable, use its digital audio
and its component video outputs
if your equipment supports this.

Remote Control Operation Range
Point the remote control unit approximately no more than
23 feet (about 7 meters) from the remote sensor and
within approximately 60° from the front of the unit.
The operating distance may vary according to the
brightness of the room.
NOTE:
Do not point bright lights at the remote control signal sensor.
Do not place objects between the remote control unit
and the remote control signal sensor on the recorder.
Do not use this remote control unit while operating
the remote control unit(s) of other equipment.

Connecting to Your TV and External Device

Note: Turn off the power to your TV/Recorder before making any connection.
= The colors of the connectors and plugs should match each other.
= When connecting to a TV, always connect one end of the audio/video cable to the output connectors of
the DVD recorder, and the other end to the input connectors of your TV set.
= If your TV provides Progressive Scan, connect the DVD Recorder’s "Pr/Cr", "Y", and "Pb/Cb" output jacks
to your TV's P-Scan jacks. Be sure to select a proper P-Scan output by pressing TV Sys. button repeatedly.

Step 1
Power on your DVD record-
er and TV. Switch your TV
to the correct Video Input
source. A First Time Setting
Wizard appears. Press
Play/Enter to continue.

TV Type Setting

the type of your TV system.

conrm and continue.

Step 1
Press STANDBY/
ON button on the recorder

Power on
the remote control to turn
on the recorder.

Turn on your TV. After
few seconds, the TV
program and its channel
number appears on the
screen.
Step 3
Press
CH(-+)
buttons to select the chan-
nel to record. Place an
unnalized DVD+R/RW
disc onto the tray.
Step 4
Press
Stop and then
Rec/OTR to start
recording the selected TV
program. Press
Stop
button to stop recording.
Step 5
A Title Editing Menu
automatically appears on
the screen. Press
to select the title just
recorded.
Step 6
Press
Play/Enter to
playback the title.
