4. Installing the product
4.1 Installation requirements
The operating company is obliged to prepare the installation
location according to the following requirements. Contact
Grundfos if any of these requirements cannot be met.
The installation location must be free from vibrations.
The installation location must be protected from rain, humidity,
condensation, direct sunlight and dust.
The installation location must have sufficient lighting to ensure
safe operation. Observe section 12.3.1 Lighting.
The installation location must be a solid building offering
protection from vandalism and tampering.
Observe the permissible ambient conditions. See section
12.3 Ambient conditions.
Provide a drain for drinking water applications or if required by
local legislation.
The product must be installed vertically. It can either be
installed on a floor stand or mounted on the wall. Make sure
that the product can be installed in a height that makes the
display easy to read during operation.
Fig. 1 Dimensions for wall mounting
The sample line and liquid must meet the technical
requirements (pressure, temperature, maximum length etc.).
See section 12. Technical data.
The end of the sample line inlet (A) must be at least 20 mm
inside the pipe to ensure the most valid detection.
The sample line connection (B) must be prepared with a 1/2"
G female connector and a ball valve.
The sample line length must not exceed 5 m.
If required by local legislation, install a non-return valve in the
inlet line.
For installations with suction filter (C), install the suction filter
with sufficient distance to the walls, bottom and water surface
to avoid algae and dirt from being sucked in.

8.2 Alarms and warnings
The product has two ways of notifying the user of an error, alarms
and warnings.
Both alarms and warnings have error codes that will be shown in
the display and reported to the water quality server.
A warning does not affect the operation of the product, it just
notifies the user that an error has occurred.
If a hardware fault is critical so that it is impossible to continue
normal operation, an alarm is triggered. This can happen if a
hardware warning keeps reoccurring or if a critical fault occurs.
The user is notified and the product stops operating and goes into
alarm state.
The product will stay in alarm state until the user manually clears
the alarm via the operating panel after correcting the fault that
caused the alarm.
In case of alarms related to the water quality, the product will
continue operating.
8.2.1 Error codes
8.2.2 Clearing alarms and warnings
To clear alarms, see sections:
7.5.3 "Current alarms"
7.5.5 "Current water quality alarms".
Alarms can be cleared manually, either via the operating panel by
the user, or via the water quality server interface by a Grundfos
service specialists.
9. Operating the product
Only open the analysis cabinet to replace the flow cell.
The product is a fully automatic product requiring very little
manual intervention.
Keep the area around the product clean and tidy.
Observe sections:

9.1 Starting and stopping the product
Start and stop the product via the main switch. See fig. 4, pos. 8.
The product is designed to start sample taking as soon as the
main switch is switched on.

10. Taking the product out of operation
10.1 Temporary decommissioning for up to 48 hours
If the latest water sample was drinking water quality, then no
further preparation is required. You can switch off the power
supply to the product and disconnect it from the system.
If the latest water sample was not drinking water quality, contact a
Grundfos service specialist to have him clean the product before
storage.
10.2 Temporary decommissioning for more than 48
hours
To avoid bacterial growth inside the product during prolonged
standstill, it must be flushed with a cleaning agent. Contact a
Grundfos service specialist and have him do this.
10.3 Decommissioning for transport
Before transport, set the product to service mode and wait 1
minute before switching off the power supply. If in doubt, contact
Grundfos. Observe section 3.1 Transporting the product.
10.4 Decommissioning for disposal
For disposal see section 13. Disposal.
11. Maintaining the product
For maintenance work, always use appropriate protective
equipment.
