Positive Air Shutdown System
The Positive Air Shutdown system is designed to
monitor the engine rpm. When the engine exceeds
3000 rpm the Valve Control Unit (VCU) turns off
power to the air intake valve causing the engine to
shut down.
The Positive Air Shutdown system is also
equipped with an Emergency Shutdown module.
The module is equipped with an emergency
shutdown button (Stop) and a fault status LED. It
is also designed for system testing and to reset the
VCU after a shutdown has occurred.
Pre-operation Inspection
Verify the operator’s manual, safety manual,
responsibilities manual and any necessary
supplements are complete, legible and in the
storage container located in the platform.
Verify all decals are legible and in place.
