SICK Replacing the I/O module

I/O-Modul tauschen
Anlage spannungsfrei schalten!
Während Sie das I/0-Modul tauschen, könnte die Anlage unbeabsichtigterweise starten.
Schalten Sie grundsätzlich bei allen Arbeiten an Maschine und Sicherheits-Laserscanner die Maschine
spannungsfrei.
Im demontierten Zustand des I/O Moduls sind hoch entwickelte Elektronikkomponenten zugänglich. Schützen Sie
diese vor elektrostatischer Entladung, Verschmutzung und Feuchtigkeit.
Ø Verwenden Sie nach Möglichkeit antistatische Bodenmatten und Werkbankunterlagen.
Ø Berühren Sie bei Arbeiten am S 3000 von Zeit zu Zeit eine unbeschichtete Metallfläche, um statische
Aufladungen von Ihrem Körper abzuleiten.
Ø Entnehmen Sie die Komponenten des S 3000 erst unmittelbar vor der Installation ihren antistatischen
Verpackungen.
Ø Beachten Sie, dass für Schäden, die durch elektrostatische Entladung entstehen, keine Haftung übernommen
werden kann.
Das I/O-Modul darf nur von sachkundigem Personal in sauberer Umgebung getauscht werden.
• Montieren Sie das I/O-Modul entsprechend der folgenden Anleitung, um die Gehäusedichtigkeit IP 65 zu
gewährleisten.
So tauschen Sie das I/O-Modul:
Ø Ziehen Sie den Systemstecker ab und demontieren Sie den S 3000.
Ø Bringen Sie den S 3000 an einen sauberen Ort (Büro, Instandhaltungsräume oder Ähnliches).
Ø Reinigen Sie den S 3000 zunächst von außen. Damit verhindern Sie das Eindringen von Fremdkörpern in das
geöffnete Gerät.
Ø Lösen Sie die Befestigungsschrauben des I/O-Moduls.
Ø Greifen Sie das I/O-Modul mit einer Hand in der Vertiefung des Verbindungssteckers zum Systemstecker.
Ø Greifen Sie mit der anderen Hand das I/O-Modul an der Demontagehilfe an der Geräteunterseite.
Ø Ziehen Sie das I/O-Modul parallel zum Montageschacht ab.
Ø Entfernen Sie eventuelle Verschmutzungen von der Dichtfläche und der Anlagefläche des Sensorkopfs.
Verwenden Sie dazu möglichst einen rückstandsfreien Kunststoffreiniger
Ø Entnehmen Sie das I/O-Modul aus der Verpackung, sorgen Sie dabei für ESD-Schutz.
Ø Kontrollieren Sie die Flächen auf Sauberkeit und die Dichtung auf richtigen Sitz.
Ø Setzen Sie das I/O-Modul im Montageschacht auf der Sensorkopf-Rückseite parallel an. Orientieren Sie sich
dabei an den drei umgebenden Seiten des Schachtes.
Ø Führen Sie das I/O-Modul entlang dieser Flächen auf die Steckverbindung. Schieben Sie das I/O-Modul dabei
parallel zur Sensorkopf-Rückseite ein, vermeiden Sie ein Verkanten. Das I/O-Modul kann ohne Kraftaufwand
aufgesteckt werden.
Ø Wenn das I/O-Modul plan zur Sensorkopf-Rückseite anliegt (Abstand ca. 1 mm), ziehen Sie die Schrauben
schrittweise und über Kreuz auf 10 bis 12 Nm an.
So nehmen Sie den S 3000 wieder in Betrieb:
Ø Montieren Sie den S 3000 wieder ordnungsgemäß.
Ø Stecken Sie den Systemstecker des S 3000 auf.
Ø Haben Sie das I/O-Modul gegen die gleiche I/O-Modul-Variante ausgetauscht, liest der S 3000 nach dem
Einschalten die gespeicherte Konfiguration automatisch aus dem Systemstecker.
Ø Haben Sie das I/O-Modul gegen eine andere I/O-Modul-Variante ausgetauscht (z.B. Standard gegen Advanced),
müssen Sie eine Erstinbetriebnahme.

Replacing the I/O module
Switch the entire machine/system off line!
While you are replacing the I/0 module, the plant may start inadvertently.
As a matter of principle, always isolate the machine from the power supply during all work on the
machine and safety laser scanner.
When the I/O module is dismantled, advanced electronic components are accessible. Protect these from
electrostatic discharge, contamination and moisture.
> If possible use anti-static floor mats and workbench covers.
> When working on the S 3000, touch a bare metal surface from time to time to discharge static charging of your
body.
> Only remove the components for the S 3000 from their anti-static packing immediately prior to installation.
> Note that no liability can be accepted for damage caused by electrostatic discharge.
The I/O module is only allowed to be replaced by specialist personnel in a clean environment.
Mount the I/O module as per the following instructions to ensure that the housing is sealed to IP 65.
Replacing the I/O module:
> Disconnect the system plug and remove the S 3000.
> Take the S 3000 to a clean place (office, repair shop or similar).
> First clean the outside of the S 3000. This prevents foreign bodies entering the device when it is opened.
> Undo the fixing screws for the I/O module.
> Take hold of the I/O module with one hand at the recess for the connector to the system plug.
> With the other hand take hold of the I/O module at the dismantling aid on the underside of the device.
> Pull out the I/O module parallel to the mounting shaft.
> Remove any contamination from the sealing surface and the mating surface for the sensor head. For this purpose
if possible use a plastic cleaner that does not leave residues
> Remove the I/O module from the packaging, ensure that you take adequate ESD protection measures during this
process.
> Check the surfaces for cleanliness and the seal for correct seating.
> Insert the I/O module in the mounting shaft parallel to the rear of the sensor head. During this process use the
three surrounding sides of the shaft for orientation.
> Guide the I/O module along these surfaces to the connector. During this process slide the I/O module parallel to
the rear of the sensor, avoid tilting. The I/O module can be connected without the need to apply force.
> When the I/O module is flat against the rear of the sensor head (distance approx. 1 mm), tighten the screws in
stages, diagonally, to 10 to 12 nm.
Re-commissioning the S 3000:
> Correctly re-mount the S 3000.
> Connect the S 3000 system plug.
> If you have replaced the I/O module for the same I/O module variant, after power up the S 3000 automatically
reads the saved configuration from the system plug.
> If you have replaced the I/O module with a different I/O module variant (e.g. Standard with Advanced), you must
perform initial commissioning
