To adjust the basic settings:
1. Set the programme Baumwolle (Cottons) to
position 1. The appliance is switched on.
2. Press the A button and, at the same time, turn the
programme selector clockwise to position 2.
Release the A button.
Setting mode is now activated.
3. Now you can use the Fertig in (Ready in) button to
change the settings in the basic settings to the
following positions:
– 2: Notification signals: 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 (0 = off, 1 =
quiet, 2 = medium, 3 = loud, 4 = very loud)
– 3: Button signals: 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 (0 = off, 1 = quiet, 2
= medium, 3 = loud, 4 = very loud)
To exit and save the settings, turn the programme
selector to Aus (Off).

@ Childproof lock (E 3 Sec.)
To activate and deactivate, press and hold the
Spin speed and Fertig in (Ready in) buttons at
the same time for approx. 3 seconds. The
activated childproof lock is indicated on the
display panel by the E symbol. If when the
childproof lock is active, the programme selector
has been turned or a button has been pressed,
the E symbol flashes briefly.

■ Speed / Eco Perfect: Washing in a shorter
time/energy-saving washing
P A button for:
■ Starting a programme
■ Interrupting a programme, e.g. to add items
of laundry
■ Cancelling a programme
X Display panel for settings and information

The appliance is not filling with water.
Detergent is not being dispensed.
■ Tap turned on? Open the tap.
■ Could the water inflow filter be blocked? Clean the water inflow filter.
The door cannot be opened. ■ If the water level is too high or the detergent solution is too hot, it is not possible to add more
laundry.
■ Is the E childproof lock activated? Deactivate the childproof lock.
■ - - - - = Rinse Stop (without final spin) set? Continue the programme, set a speed or the
Abpumpen (Drain) programme.
The detergent solution is not being pumped
out. /

■ Drain pump is blocked. Clean the drain pump.
■ Drain pipe or outlet hose is blocked. Clean the water outlet.
Spin results not satisfactory.
Laundry is wet/too damp.
■ Not a fault – the unbalanced load detection system has cancelled the spin cycle because the
laundry is unevenly distributed. Wash small and large items of laundry together.
■ Too low speed selected? Set a higher speed.
■ Where applicable, run the Schleudern (Spin) programme.
Foam may be leaking from the detergent
drawer.
Have you used too much detergent? Use less detergent in the next wash cycle.
