Camera Installation

vehicle must be inspected by the appropriate authorities.

Camera Installation
Installation instruction
The camera must be attached at a height of at least 2 m to provide suitable
viewing angle.
Ensure that the installation location of the camera makes the camera bracket
sufficiently firm.
Mount the camera in the middle of the rear of the vehicle and horizontal aswell.
With screws fitted through the body is the most secure type of attachment, please
observe following:
- Sufficient space for mounting behind the body and for the drill head to come
out on the other side is essential.
- Suitable measures must be taken to prevent water penetration through any holes
made (e.g. using screw and sealant, using spray for outer attachment parts
with sealant).

Tap hole M5 (Drill 4.2 mm holes) at the
points just marked.
Deburr all drill holes.
Greasing the threads of the bolts,
rust protection.
Screw the camera bracket on with the
M5 x16 mm threaded screws.
Camera installation
Self-tapping screws may only used if the
steel panels have minimum thickness
of 1,5 mm.
Attach the camera holder on the chosen
location.
Mark at least two different points for the
drill holes.
Pre-punch the marked points.
Drill 4.5 mm holes at the points just marked
Deburr all drill holes.
Greasing the threads of the bolts, rust
protection.
Screw the camera bracket on with the
5 x16 mm self-tapping screws.

Drill the through hole for camera connection
cable.
Drill a hole of 13 mm diameter near the
camera.
Deburr the drill hole.
Greasing the drill hole, prevent corrosion.
Use cable sleeves in all sharp edged ducts.

Push the camera into the camera bracket.
Fastening and centering the camera loosely with two screws M3x6 mm in the
middle threaded drill holes (A).
Align the camera to have the lens at an angle of approx. 60° to the perpendicular
axis of the vehicle (B).
Push the camera guard over the camera that the central drill holes slide over
both screws heads and the slots are aligned with those of the camera
bracket (C ).
Secure camera guard with four screws M3x8 mm in the slots.
Tighten all screws after camera is aligned, checking function and setting camera,
if applicable monitor connection is necessary.
Never mount camera without camera guard.
To mount camera only use the supplied screws.
Camera connection
Guide the camera cable into the vehicle interior.
Insert the plug of the camera cable into the socket of the extension cable.
Apply few amount of grease into the plug, prevent corrosion.
Wrap the connection with the sealing tape supplied, protection against water
penetration. ·
Plug connection should be accessible easily, considerably for dismantling work.
Checking the function and setting
Check the function of the camera after monitor is connected. ·
Align camera using the image on the monitor show the rear or the number of
vehicle at the bottom edge of the screen, and the middle of the number should
be in the middle of the screen.
Tighten all fastening screws of the camera bracket.
Other settings of the camera can be made on the monitor.
