IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
Important safeguards
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed including the following:
1. Read all instructions.
2. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities,
or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance
by a person responsible for their safety.
3. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
4. Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
5. To protect against electrical shock do not immerse cord, plugs, or (state specific part or parts in question) in water or other
liquid.
6. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
7. Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking o parts.
8. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any
manner. Return appliance to the nearest authorized service facility for examination, repair, or adjustment.
9. The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may cause injuries.
10. Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
11. Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
12. Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot oil or other hot liquids.
13. Always attach plug to appliance first, then plug cord into the wall outlet. To disconnect, turn any control to "o", then remove
plug from wall outlet.
14. Do not use appliance for other than intended use.
15. Fuel, such as charcoal briquettes, is not to be used with appliance.
WARNING: Charcoal or similar combustible fuels must not be used with this appliance.
16. Use only on properly grounded outlet.
17. For household use only.
18. The appliance should be supplied through a residual current device (RCD) having a rated residual operating current not
exceeding 30 mA.
19. The appliance is to be connected to a socket-outlet having an earthing contact.
20. The supply cord should be regularly examined for signs of damage and the appliance is not to be used if the cord is damaged.
21. 60 minutes “ON” in a two hour period.

a) A short power-supply cord (or detachable power-supply cord) is provided to reduce the risk resulting from
becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.
b) Longer detachable power-supply cords or extension cords are available and may be used if care is exercised in
their use.
c) If a longer detachable power-supply cord or extension cord is used:
1) The marked electrical rating of the cord set or extension cord should be at least as great as the electrical
rating of the appliance;
2) The cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled
on by children or tripped over unintentionally; and
3) If the appliance is of the grounded type, the cord set or extension cord should be a grounding-type 3-wire
cord.
a) Outdoor extension cords should be used with outdoor use products and are surface marked with the sux letter
“W” and with a tag stating “Suitable for use with outdoor appliances.”
b) A statement indicating that the connection to an extension cord should be kept dry and o the ground.
c) Store products indoors when not in use – out of the reach of children.
d) Do not clean this product with a water spray or the like.

Carefully unpack your ELECTRIC GRILL and remove all corrugated shipping elements used to protect your grill in transit.
Before you begin, we first recommend removing the Grilling Grate and the Searing Plate and washing them both with
warm soapy water.
Seasoning your ELECTRIC BBQ Grill
Getting Started
1. Please familiarize yourself with the safety guidelines at the front of this manual.
2. Be sure the grill is plugged in and stationed on a clean and dry surface.
3. Open the grill lid.
4. For first time START-UP procedure, we recommend following the steps below to prepare your grill for optimum
performance by staging a proper initial “burn o” process.
Step 1.
BEFORE IGNITION, take a soft clean cloth and apply a thin coating of cooking olive oil to the cloth and lightly wipe on the
grate of the grill.
Step 2.
You’ll be seasoning both surfaces of the grill one side at a time following the ignition instructions below. Be sure to allow
time for fully heat up and release any initial smoke during this break-in / seasoning stage.

Operation
WARNING
Before turning on the power source, please put the knob to OFF position.
To start the Grilling Grate:
1. First, connect the power and then turn on the grill by switching the knob to the right until the blue indicator lights up.
2. Continue to turn the knob until the arrow mark reaches the required cooking temperature.
If the inner temp is lower than the setting value, electric heating tube will heat circularly.
Note: If the product has an indicator light, the indicator light will light up when electric heating tube is working and turn
o if not working.
3. Allow 10 to 15 minutes for the GRILL SIDE surface to reach its full temperature to complete the initial seasoning
process or to begin grilling.
Notes About OUTDOOR USE
Be sure you have proper ventilation, and protect all other surfaces near the grill.
NEVER grill in the open rain or in standing water as this grill is an electric appliance. There is always a risk of electric shock
while operating this unit.
Grounding Instructions
This appliance shall be grounded while in use to protect the operator from electrical shock.
The appliance is equipped with a 3-conductor cord and a 2-prong grounding-type plug to fit the proper grounding-type
outlet. Plug into a GFCI-protected outdoor outlet, where available.

Extension Cords
Use only 3-wire extension cords that have 2-prong grounding-type plugs and 2-pole cord connectors that accept the
plug from the appliance. Only extension cords identified by the marking“Suitable for use with outdoor appliances” shall be
used outdoors. Use only extension cords that have an electrical rating not less than the rating of the appliance. Do not use
damaged extension cords. Examine extension cord before using and replace if damaged.
Do not abuse extension cord and do not tug on any cord to disconnect. Keep cord away from heat and sharp edges.
1. Outdoor extension cords shall be used with outdoor use products; such cords are surface marked and with a tag
stating “Suitable for use with outdoor appliances”.
2. Connection to an extension cord shall be kept dry and o the ground;
3. Store products indoors when not in use, out of the reach of children.
4. Do not clean this product with a water spray or the like.

6. Clean grill often for maximum performance and to avoid flare-ups or grease fires. This includes cleaning the grease
tray, vaporizer plate and replacing the enamel grid (if needed) after each use.

Secure the Hood Handle (3) onto the Hood with two Spacer (2) and two Wing nut (A) as shown.
Ensure the Wingnuts (A) are tightened.
Fit the prepared hood in step 1 carefully onto the firebox (5) .
Lock the hood into place by fitting a hinge pin (B) through the firebox flanges and the hood hinge. Fix the hinge pin by
inserting an “R” clip (C) through the end of each pin.

Open the hood. Put in the two grills (4) into the firebox above the burner.
Insert the Oil Cup (6) underneath the firebox from the front as shown.
Barbecue is full assembled.
HOW TO use your Electric BBQ Grill
1. Follow the steps for Getting Started outlined.
To begin SEARING or GRILLING - turn the knob to required temperature.
Searing
TIP: You may want to lightly coat the searing plate with oil or non-stick cooking spray prior to use.
1. Follow the steps for Getting Started outlined on page 6.
2. For a professional seared finish, place meat or fillet on pre-heated searing plate.
Grilling and Roasting
1. Follow steps for Getting Started outlined on page 2.
2. For professional grilling and convection roasting, place meat or fillet on pre-heated grate. You may want to lightly coat
the grate with oil or non-stick cooking spray prior to use.
3. For turkey, whole chicken, or roast, follow recipe instructions for preparation, basting, etc. as you normally would for
indoor range cooking. A V-shaped roasting rack is recommended.
Make sure to use a shallow roasting pan to catch drippings.
4. Close the hood and let convection cooking do the rest. Keeping the hood closed is important to the convection process.
5. Turn the temperature control knob to OFF position, and unplug your grill after each use.
Baking:
TIP: Using seasoned baking stones, particularly for breads and grill roasted pizza, can enhance the quality of your baking.
Experiment and discover what works best for you.
1. Follow the steps for Getting Started outlined on page 6.
2. For professional baking, place pan, sheet or dish on grill.
3. Close hood, turn right dial clockwise to heat grill, and wait for grill hood temperature gauge to reach 300-350°F.
4. Set a timer according to recipe instructions and keep the hood closed as you normally would for indoor range baking.
This is important to the convection process.
5. When finished, turn the temperature control knob to OFF position, and unplug your grill.

CAUTION: Never try to clean the grilling grates until they are cool to the touch.
WARNING Fire & Shock Risk
User Maintenance
** For best results and to prevent flare ups, clean your grill after every use.
** It is strongly recommended that the inner side of the grill case be cleaned after each use. To clean, slide drip tray out from
the bottom of grill and scrape with a brush.
ALWAYS BE SURE THE GRILL IS UNPLUGGED BEFORE CLEANING
Periodically, remove the grilling grates and wash in soap and warm water.
Use a wash cloth or vegetable brush to clean the cooking grids.
Cleaning the Grease Tray and Cast Iron Grilling Grates
To reduce the chance of fire, the grease tray and cast iron cooking grates should be inspected before each grill use. Remove
any grease from the tray and scrape any residue o the surface of the cast iron grilling grates. Wash with soap and warm
water. Cast iron grilling grates should be replaced often. As with all appliances, proper care and maintenance will keep this grill
in top operating condition. By following these cleaning procedures on a regular basis, your Electric Grill will stay clean and
work properly with minimum eort.
1. Remove the grilling grate for cleaning.
2. Using a putty knife or similar utensil, carefully scrape the area below the heating element for optimal performance. Be careful
NOT to scrape the heating element directly.
WARNING Fire & Shock Risk
Do not line the bottom of the grill housing with aluminum foil, sand or any substance that will restrict the flow of grease into
the grease draining tray and receptacle.
Failure to comply with these instructions could result in a fire or explosion which could cause property damage or serious
bodily harm.

CAUTION:

Be sure the grill is OFF and cool before cleaning.
Burning-o the grill after every cookout will keep it ready for instant use. However, once a year you should give the entire grill
a thorough cleaning to keep it in top operating condition.
Follow these steps:
1. Unplug the grill.
2. Brush the inside and bottom of the grill with a sti wire brush, and wash with soap and warm water. Rinse thoroughly
and let dry.
Cleaning Exterior Surfaces
Before initial use, and periodically thereafter, wash the grill using soap and warm water. Use a wash cloth or sponge for this
process. Do not use a sti wire or brass brush that might scratch the stainless steel surface.
Cleaning Exterior Surfaces-Stainless Steel
Weathering and extreme heat can cause exterior stainless steel surfaces to turn tan in colour.
Follow these steps for the best cleaning results:
1. Remove dirt or grease using hot water & soap and a soft cloth. Then, polish and treat the stainless surfaces using only an
approved stainless steel care product. Never use abrasive cleaners or scrubbers as they will damage the surface as well as
destroy the printed graphic surfaces used for operating instructions.
2. Finish by wiping your grill clean with a soft cloth and allow to air dry before starting the grill.

Warranty
This product carries a one (1) year warranty against defects in workmanship and materials. Master Chef agrees to replace
a defective product, within the stated warranty period, when returned to the place of purchase with proof of purchase.
This product is not guaranteed against wear or breakage due to misuse and/or abuse.
