Lakeland Mini Fridge is a compact and versatile appliance that can keep items cool or warm. Thank you for choosing the Lakeland Mini Fridge.
Please take a little time to read this booklet before getting started and keep it in a safe
place for future reference.
The Mini Fridge can be used to keep items cool but can also be used for warming. It is
simple to use, compact and easy to carry. It can hold up to 6 x 330ml cans or 4 x 440ml
cans. Includes vehicle charging cable, making it perfect for days out or mini breaks.
With two modes for cooling and heating; the cool setting cools down to approximately
15-18°C lower than the ambient temperature and heat setting heats up to approximately
65°C to keep food and drink warm. There is also a normal mode for daytime use and
silent mode for night-time.

SAFETY CAUTIONS
Carefully read all the instructions before using the appliance and keep in a safe place
for future reference. Always follow these safety cautions when using the appliance to
avoid personal injury or damage to the appliance. This appliance should be used only as
described in this instruction book.
This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and
above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have
been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the
appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user
maintenance shall not be done by children unless they are older
than 8 and supervised.
Make sure your electricity supply matches the voltage shown on the appliance.
Ensure all packaging materials and any promotional labels or stickers are removed from
the appliance before the first use.
Always inspect the appliance before use for noticeable signs of damage. Do not use if
damaged or has been dropped. In the event of damage, or if the appliance develops a
fault contact the Lakeland customer care team on 015394 88100.

Always use the appliance on a dry, level, heat resistant surface, away from any other
heat sources.
Unplug from the mains when not in use and before cleaning. To disconnect, turn the
socket to “off“ and remove the plug from the mains socket.
Do not use any accessories or attachments with this appliance other than those
recommended by Lakeland.
To protect against fire, electric shock or personal injury, do not immerse cord, plug or
base in water or other liquids.
Do not leave the lead hanging over the edge of a kitchen table or worktop. Avoid
contact between the lead and hot surfaces.
For indoor use only.
For domestic use only.
This appliance should be used for preparation of food and drink as described within the
instructions for use that accompany it.
Always ensure that your hands are dry before removing the plug from the mains
socket. Never pull the plug out of the mains socket by its lead.
To avoid injury or possible fire, do not cover the appliance when in use.
Do not connect this appliance to an external timer or remote control system.

An extension cable may be used with care. The electrical rating of the cable should be
at least as great as the appliance. Do not allow the cable to hang over the edge of the
worktop or touch any hot surfaces.
This appliance complies with the basic requirements of Directives 2014/30/EU
(Electromagnetic Compatibility) and 2014/35/EU (Low Voltage Directive).
WARNING: A cut off plug inserted into a 13 amp socket is a serious safety (shock)
hazard. Ensure the cut off plug is disposed of safely.
CAUTION: The plastic bags used to wrap this appliance or the packaging may be
dangerous. To avoid risk of suffocation, keep these bags out of reach of babies
and children. These bags are not toys.
When the power cord is damaged, do not touch the AC power cord with your hands
to avoid danger.
When using the DC cord and plug in a vehicle, the power will only switch on when the
vehicle is running. Be sure to turn off its power and unplug the vehicle-charging power
cord after the vehicle stops running.
The product should not be used for acid-corrosive items, and the product should not
be wiped with corrosive solvents.
DO NOT block the vents when in use, or when stored. The Mini Fridge must be used
in a well ventilated area, at least 10cm away from walls and other surfaces to allow
sufficient airflow.
When using the HEAT setting, take care when handling the appliance to avoid burns,
as it will be hot.
When changing between the COOL and HEAT setting, turn the appliance off for
15 minutes before switching to another setting.
Always use the appliance in a dry environment, and away from any water or rain.
Store in a place where there is no risk of the product falling into water.
Never attempt to grab the Mini Fridge if it has fallen into water. In such a case,
immediately disconnect the mains plug.
Keep raw meat and fish adequately contained to avoid cross contamination of
salmonella or similar.
The COOL setting is designed for cooling food and bottles containing beverages.
If using the Mini Fridge in a vehicle, we recommend turning on the vehicle’s
air conditioning.
Never expose the Mini Fridge to excessively high or low temperature, direct sunlight or
the influence of weather.
The Mini Fridge is NOT a freezer and should NOT be used for freezing.
DO NOT leave the door open for longer than necessary to avoid change in temperature
inside the appliance. Leaving the door open could perish food stored inside.
DO NOT cook food inside the appliance. HEAT setting is to be used for keeping cooked
food warm only.

USING YOUR MINI FRIDGE AND USING FOR THE
FIRST TIME
Unpack the Mini Fridge, remove all the packaging materials.
Before first use, wipe the fridge unit with a clean damp cloth.
Wash the removable shelf and door compartment in warm soapy water, rinse and
dry thoroughly.
Make sure that all parts are clean and dry before assembling the product.
WARNING: Do not insert the plug into a socket or turn on the Mini Fridge before you
have fully assembled it.
1. Place the base unit on a level, sturdy and dry surface
near a socket or vehicle charging point. The appliance
should be stable on its non-slip feet.
2. Place the removable shelf inside the fridge, this will only
fit one-way round. Also fit the removable compartment
inside the door.
3. The Mini Fridge is now ready to use.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Firstly, check that the power switch is switched off, before you plug in the appliance.
The first switch should be moved to the middle.
Place the Mini Fridge on a dry flat surface, at least 10cm away from walls and other
surfaces to allow sufficient air flow.
VEHICLE USE (DC 12V)
Insert the vehicle-charging power cable into the DC socket (12V) on the back of the
Mini Fridge.
Insert the other end of the vehicle-charging cord into the cigarette lighter socket of
the vehicle.
Turn the power switch to the COOL setting.
HOUSEHOLD USE (AC 100V-240V)
Insert one end of the AC power cord into the AC socket of the Mini Fridge
(100V-240V).
Insert the other end of the AC power cord into the power socket and switch on.
Turn the power switch on the Mini Fridge to the COOL setting.

COOL AND HEAT SETTINGS
When cooling, the temperature is 15℃-18°C lower than the current ambient
temperature. When the power switch is in the COOL setting position, the green
indicator light will light up and the Mini Fridge will start to cool.
When heating, the temperature can reach up to 65°C. When the power switch is in the
HEAT setting position, the red indicator light will light up and the Mini Fridge will start
to heat.
When you need to turn off the appliance, move the Cool and Heat Switch to the
middle OFF position and the Mini Fridge will switch off.
When changing between the COOL and HEAT setting, turn the appliance off for
15 minutes before switching to another setting.
DO NOT directly switch between Cool and Heat setting as the cooling system of the
Mini Fridge may be damaged due to the drastic change of temperature.
Cool: Green indicator lights up. Heat: Red indicator lights up.
NORMAL MODE AND SILENT MODE
Normal mode: The fan runs at a higher speed when in normal mode, it is
recommended to select this mode during the day.
Silent mode: The fan runs at a lower speed when in silent mode, it is recommended
to select this mode at night.

HINTS AND TIPS
The Mini Fridge will work more effectively if food and drink is already cool when
using on COOL setting, or already warm when using on HEAT setting.
Aluminium cans work great on the COOL setting for keeping drinks cold.
To make the most of the space, cut up food such as fruit and store in a reusable bag
inside the Mini Fridge.
If keeping cooked food warm on the HEAT setting, aluminium containers work best to
keep the food warm.
The Mini Fridge is also great for keeping cosmetics and skincare products cool. Some
products such as face masks, suncream, lipsticks and mascaras are recommended by
some to keep cool in the fridge.
The Mini Fridge is NOT suitable for refrigeration of frozen foods such as ice cream.
Keep food and drink sealed when stored in the Mini Fridge to keep food fresh, prevent
cross contamination of salmonella or similar, and to avoid spillages.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Question: The Mini Fridge is fully assembled, why is nothing happening when I switch
the power on/off switch.
Answer: Check and make sure the power cord is properly connected to the
power outlet.
Check and make sure the Mini Fridge is turned on.
Check and make sure the cigarette lighter is properly connected and
turned on. Carefully check for any dust or obstruction inside the cigarette
lighter socket.
Question: Why is the Mini Fridge not very cool?
Answer: Check and make sure the fan is running normally. Touch the four screws
inside the Mini Fridge to check if they are cold. The temperature outside of
the Mini Fridge may be too hot.

CARE AND CLEANING
Firstly check the COOL and HEAT switch is in the OFF position, unplug the Mini Fridge
from the power source before cleaning.
Clean thoroughly before using for the first time and after every use.
The Mini Fridge should be cleaned regularly if there is residual water inside it.
Check the parts for wear or damage after every few uses.
Do not use abrasive cleaners, or steel wool.
Never immerse the fridge unit in water or any other liquid.
Keep the vents and control panel clear to avoid causing damage to the product and risk
of electric shock.
To clean the fridge unit, wipe with a clean damp cloth and dry thoroughly
before storing.
Wash the removable shelf and door compartment in warm soapy water, rinse and dry
thoroughly before storing.
Store the Mini Fridge with the power cable loosely coiled. Never wrap it tightly around
the product. Keep the vents clear when in storage.

THIS APPLIANCE MUST BE EARTHED
The appliance is fitted with a fused three-pin plug to BS1363 which is suitable for use in
all homes fitted with sockets to current specifications.
CHANGING THE 3 AMP FUSE
Use a 3 amp BS1362 fuse. Only BSI or ASTA approved fuses should be used. If you are
unsure which plug or fuse to use, always refer to a qualified electrician.
Note: After replacing or changing a fuse on a moulded plug which has a fuse cover, the
cover must be refitted to the plug; the appliance must not be used without a fuse cover.
If lost, replacement fuse covers can be obtained from an electrical shop. This appliance
complies with the following EU Directives: 2014/35/EU (Low Voltage Directive) and
2014/30/EU (EMC Directive).
