Important Safety Instructions
Before using your new 7” Tablet, read this manual thoroughly. The safety
precautions on the following pages, and throughout the manual, are designed to
reduce the risk of re, electric shock and injury when correctly followed.
• Keep the manual, with relevant warranty information, your purchase receipt and
the original packaging, in a safe place for future reference.
• The device features a capacitive touch screen. Just touch it with your nger or
click with a capacitive pen. Never use sharp objects to click the screen, or you will
risk damaging the screen.
• Only operate the Tablet according to the instructions in this manual. We assume
no responsibility for faulty use or inappropriate handling.
• Environment: Do not use this product where it is excessively hot, cold, dusty or humid,
or where it is exposed to strong magnetic elds or long periods of sunshine.
• Water: Do not expose this device to water; do not use it where it can fall into water
(such as near a pool, pond, bath etc.).
• Handling: Do not drop this product or shake it vigorously.
• Back-up: To avoid loss of data, we recommend always backing up any important
information, especially before upgrading the hardware. We assume no liability for any
damage and/or data loss due to lack of back-up. Do not disconnect the device while
formatting, downloading or uploading data.
• Accessories: Only use the device with the accessories supplied. Use of other accessories
not recommended in this manual may cause damage to the unit and will void your
warranty.
• Screen: The Tablet features a capacitive touch screen. Just touch it with your nger or
click with a capacitive pen. Never use sharp objects to click the screen, or you will risk
damaging the screen.
• Usage: Only operate the MID (Mobile Internet Device) according to the instructions in
this manual. We assume no responsibility for faulty use or inappropriate handling.
• Usage restriction: The equipment is not intended for use by persons (including
children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience
and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use
of the equipment by a person responsible for their safety.
• Specications are subject to change and improvement without notice.
• Cleaning: Clean the housing of the device lightly with a dry or moist cotton cloth. Do
not use alcohol, thinners, benzene or any other chemical cleaner.
• Repair: This device is a high precision electronic product. It contains no user-serviceable
parts inside. Do not try to dismantle, modify or repair it yourself.

• Damage: In case of damage, contact the after sales support line for advice.
• Disposal: When discarding this device, observe local regulations and dispose of it
appropriately for recycling. Contact your local authorities for advice on facilities.
Maintenance
• Keep the device dry. Do not let the device, or accessories come into contact with water
and do not operate it with wet hands. Contact with water will cause the device to
short-circuit, corrode or cause electric shock.
• Do not shock the equipment, and accessories, which may cause device or battery
failure, re or explosion.
• Do not expose the device to very low or very high temperatures, which may cause
device or battery failure, re or explosion.
• Do not disassemble the device or its accessories. Disassembly by unauthorised persons
will void the warranty.
Safety
• Do not use the device while walking or driving a vehicle. Observe all road safety
regulations.
• In health facilities, observe the relevant rules or regulations. Turn o the MID in the
vicinity of medical devices.
• Turn o the MID when boarding an aeroplane in order to avoid interference with
aircraft radio signals.
• Stay away from magnetic equipment; magnetic force may erase the information stored
on the device.
• Always select the appropriate volume when using the music or video function. The
volume should not be too loud when using earphones. If the sound distorts, turn down
the volume or turn o the player. Loud sounds can incur hearing damage.
Responsible disposal
• At the end of its working life, do not throw this appliance out with your household
rubbish. Electrical and electronic products contain substances that can have a
detrimental eect on the environment and human health if disposal of inappropriately.
Observe any local regulations regarding the disposal of electrical consumer goods and
dispose of it appropriately for recycling. Contact your local authorities for advice on
recycling facilities in your area.

TIPS
• When the battery is low, the tablet will power o automatically.
• If the tablet shuts down due to an error, when restarted, the tablet will scan and
repair itself.
• Denition of “Press”:
Short Press: Press the button for less than 2 seconds.
Long Press: Press and hold the button for more than 3 seconds.

Switch on/o

Turning on/o the screen
•O:Afteraperiodofinactivitythescreenwillautomaticallyturnotosavebattery
power. This can be set using the ‘Sleep setting from the Display menu in the device
settings menu.
•Ifafteralongtimeinsleepstatethescreendoesnotturnon,longpressthepower
button to turn o. Then press the power button to turn on again.
•On:Ifthescreeniso,pressthepowerbuttontoturnitbackon.

Before rst use
Unpack the tablet but keep all packaging materials until you have made sure your
new 7” Tablet is undamaged and on good working order. Plastic wrapping can be a
suocation hazard for babies and young children, so ensure all packaging materials are
out of their reach.
Charging the device
Before using the Tablet for the rst time, you need to charge the device for 10 hours
approx. After that initial use, recharge it as required: when the ‘low battery icon appears
on the screen, if the system turns o automatically, or if the keys do not work. During
charging, the charging icon will appear on the screen.
To charge the device, connect the device to any USB power supply
NOTE
•Duringchargingthedevicesurfacemaybecomewarm.Thisisnormalandnocausefor
concern. All devices are factory tested before release.
•Ifyouarenotgoingtousethedeviceforawhile,werecommendyouchargeitoncea
month and then discharge the battery so that the battery does not become damaged.

Connecting to a PC
•ConnecttheUSBcabletoyourPC,yourcomputerwillrecognisetheUSBdeviceinits
settings. To transfer les, just drag and drop to the USB icon or send to the USB device.
Connecting a USB device
•USBdevices,suchaskeyboard,aresuppportedthroughtheUSBport.
•ViewmedialesonUSBstoragewithinstalledphoto,musicorvideoapplications.
CAUTION: Before removing a USB storage device, make sure the tablet
is not accessing data from the USB storage device.

Using a Micro SD card
Inserting a Micro SD card
You may install a Micro SD card to expand your devices storage space.
• Turn o the device by pressing and holding the power button.
• Insert the Micro SD card as shown.
NOTE: Ensure that the card is inserted all the way into the card slot. It will click into
place.
Removing a Micro SD card
CAUTION: Before removing a Micro SD card, make sure your device is not accessing
data on the card. Press the SD card slightly and you should hear or feel a light
click. The SD card will now pop out automatically.
Resetting the device
You may have to perform a reset if your device fails to respond when buttons are pressed
or the screen is tapped. There are two ways to reset the device, the quick way using the
reset button (see below) or step by step (see page 10).
Reset option 1
If your device does not respond to screen input, reset it using a small thin object (such as a
paperclip) to press the recessed reset button.

Reset option 2
1. Turn o the tablet.
2. Press and hold the volume+ button and the power button for a few seconds until the
robot icon appears.
3. After a few moments you will see a green robot with red exclamation (!) mark. Press
and hold the power button, then while holding it, press the volume+ button once,
then release the power button.
4. Press the volume- button to select the sixth row: Wipe data / factory reset, then
press the power button. From the options that appear on the screen, select: “Yes ...
delete all user data and press the power button to conrm the deletion.
5. Restart the tablet.
Camera
The camera has photo-taking and video-recording functions. There is only one camera
on the device.
You can nd your camera photos and video at > Applications > Gallery, or see camera
videos and all other video les at > Applications > MoviePlayer.

Sound
Set all sound options here.
• ClickonVolumestochangethevolumelevelsformultimediaplayersand
applications, and also for notications and alarms.
Press the settings icon to enter the settings menu.
Wireless & Networks
Wi-Fi: Click ON or OFF to enable or disable Wi-Fi. When ON is displayed, Wi-Fi is
enabled. When Wi-Fi is enabled, the system will scan automatically for a Wi-Fi
signal. You can also add a Wi-Fi network manually.
•TapontheWi-Finetworkyouwouldliketoconnectto,thenenterthenetwork
password when prompted.

Display
Set options for screen brightness, change wallpaper, sleep (screen time-out) and font
size.
Storage
System storage: Space for installation of applications (APK software)
Internal Storage: Space for le storage
SD Card: Storage space on removable SD card (if connected)
USB Storage: Storage space on removable USB device (if connected)

Battery
Show battery power balance and consumption.
Applications
Here you can manage applications such as uninstall them or clear application data.
Personalisation
Location services
This menu contains options for allowing applications to track your approximate location
using your Wi-Fi connections, so some features of applications will work better.
Security
The security menu contains many useful options for securing your tablet and data.
Screen lock: Change or set a protection method for lock screen.
Owner info: Enter text that will be displayed on the locked screen. This is a message
that others can see without having to unlock the tablet.

Language and input
In this area you can change the system language and change settings for the keyboard.
Unknown sources: Enable this if you wish to install applications (APK les) that are not
from the Play Store.
NOTE: If you forget the screen lock password, PIN or pattern, you must perform a rmware
reset on the device. Passwords cannot be recovered.
Backup and reset
When some applications or the device itself cannot work properly, you can use this
function to return the tablet to factory default settings (reset to factory settings). But
you will lose all user installed applications and data. It is therefore important that you
back up important data rst. (See pages 9-10 for more on resetting.)

Accounts
This allows you to add an account to the tablet and enable or disable the
synchronisation settings for each, such as mail service.
You can also remove accounts by clicking on them, then click on the menu button in the
top right and select ‘Remove account.
Keyboard
Some applications can open the keyboard automatically, others require you to click in
an input eld/area rst.
You can hide the keyboard by pressing the down arrow that appears where normally
the on-screen back button would be.
Text selection: copy, share, nd
• Press and hold on one of the words you want to select. The word will highlight in blue
and a blue tab will appear at both ends.
• Press and drag the blue tabs to highlight the text you want to select.
• Choose the task you want to perform from the menu that appears at the top of the
screen.
Text selection: paste
• Once you have used the above method to copy text to the clipboard, press and hold
on a eld in an application or area of a document where you wish to input the copied
text.
• A blue tab will appear, drag it to the position you want the text inserted, then click
‘Paste.
Other operations
Capital letters
•PresstheShift button or keep pressing on while you input letters.
Switching between capital and lower case letters
•PressandholdtheShift button while in lower case mode, the icon will change into
. Press again to switch back to lower case mode.

Frequently used symbols
•Pressandholdthesymbolbuttontoenteranalternatesymbol,whichwillbedisplayed
in blue above it.
•Toselectthespecialcharactersshowningreyinthetoprightcornerofletters,press
the shift key and click the letter key.
Mouse/trackpad
This allows you adjust the pointer speed of any attached mouse or trackpad device.
System settings
Date and time
When the internet is connected, turn on Automatic date & time, the device can obtain
the real date and time from the internet.
Developer options
NOTE: This section contains settings for advanced Android users only, such as
application developers. By default all settings in this area are set to “O.

Cannot power on

Cannot connect the device to the wireless LAN router
•CheckandensurethatthewirelessLANrouterison.
•Dependingonthesurroundingenvironment,suchasthewallmaterial,radiowave
receiving condition, or obstacles between the device and the wireless LAN router, the
communication distance may be shortened. Move the device and the wireless LAN
router closer to each other.
•DevicesVVsuchasamicrowaveoven,Bluetoothdeviceordigitalcordlessdevice,may
interrupt the communication. Move the device away from such devices.
•TryupdatingthermwareofyourwirelessLANrouter.
