4. CONNECTING THE HEATER TO THE TAP WATER
Connecting the heater to the cold water system is shown in the figure 1.
- The heater must be equipped with a safety valve with a maximum opening pressure specified on the nameplate affixed to
the heater. Install the safety valve at the cold water inlet.
No shut-off valve may be placed between the heater and the safety valve.
- During installation, follow the instructions of the safety device manufacturer.
- Before starting the installation, check the safety valve by opening it. During normal operation, the inspection must be con-
ducted at least once a month.
- Water may leak out of the safety valve, therefore, the valve outlet must be freely opened.
- To prevent the leakage of water from the safety valve an expansion vessel with the initial pressure equal to the pressure in
the water supply system should be installed between the heater and the safety valve.
- If the pressure equal to or higher than the opening pressure of the safety valve occurs in the water supply system, the wa-
ter pressure reducing valve must also be installed upstream of the safety valve.
- To prevent possible scalding with hot water, it is recommended to install the mixing valve with the antiscalding function at
the heater water outlet.
- In order to easily drain the water from the heater install the drain valve at cold water supply.
NOTES!
All installations must be performed in accordance with applicable regulations.
In order set the reducing valve correctly it is recommended that the pressure in the heater was about 20% lower
than the opening pressure of the safety valve.

5. EXEMPLARY CONNECTION OF THE HEAER TO THE HEATING SYSTEM
Exemplary connection of the heater to the heating system with the solar collectors is shown in the figure 2.
All heating devices must be connected to the respective heater pipes. If the installation is equipped with the solar collectors they
must always be connected to the lower heater coil. Additional heating device must be connected to the upper coil. An electric
heater may be further mounted to the heaters equipped with appropriate pipes.
All connection pipes must be thermally isolated.
If the hot tap water circulation circuit is installed through the circulation pump, the check valve must be installed upstream of the
pump in the pumping direction to prevent the gravitational heat escape from the water heater.
Due to the large heat losses through the circulation, the circulation pump operation must be limited to a minimum.

HEATER CLEANING AND ANODE RODE REPLACEMENT
As a result of repeated water heating, the scale will deposit on the inner walls of the heater and mostly on the flange
cover. Scaling depends upon the hardness, temperature and amount of water used.
It is recommended to perform the operational inspection of the heater after two years of use. The heater must be
cleaned in case of large amount of scale. The condition and usage of the magnesium anode must be checked once a
year. The anode life is calculated for the two years of operation. However, it changes depending on the hardness and chemical
composition of the water in the place of the heater use. A company performing the services should be asked to carry out the
inspection and replacement of the magnesium anode. While draining the water the hot water mixing valve must be open in order
to prevent the creation of the vacuum in the heater, which prevents emptying of the heater.
7. NOTES
- Regularly inspect the magnesium anode and replace it regularly if it is worn down in 50% .
- No shut-off valve may be installed between the heater and the safety valve.
- If the vacuum exceeding the opening pressure of the safety valve occurs in the water supply system, the pressure reduc-
ing valve must be installed upstream of the safety valve.
- It is recommended to install an antiscalding mixing valve at the hot tap water outlet.
- Before pouring water to the heater for the first time, check whether the inspection flange bolts and all bolted connections o
he piping with the heater are tightened.
8. DISPOSAL
Disposal of packaging materials
A service fee was paid for providing take-back and reuse of the packaging material in which
the heater was delivered.
The service fee was paid to EKO-KOM S.A. in accordance with Act No. 477/2001 Dz.U. as
amended.
Customer number is F06020274.
The heater's packaging should be put in a place designated by the municipality to landfill.
Water heater disposal
The water heater which is out of service and not suitable for further use must be removed at end of life and transported to a recy-
cling center or the manufacturer should be contacted.
