HEATER CLEANING AND ANODE RODE REPLACEMENT
As a result of repeated water heating, the scale will deposit on the inner walls of the heater and mostly on the flange
cover. Scaling depends upon the hardness, temperature and amount of water used.
It is recommended to perform the operational inspection of the heater after two years of use. The heater must be
cleaned in case of large amount of scale. The condition and usage of the magnesium anode must be checked once a
year. The anode life is calculated for the two years of operation. However, it changes depending on the hardness and chemical
composition of the water in the place of the heater use. A company performing the services should be asked to carry out the
inspection and replacement of the magnesium anode. While draining the water the hot water mixing valve must be open in order
to prevent the creation of the vacuum in the heater, which prevents emptying of the heater.
7. NOTES
- Regularly inspect the magnesium anode and replace it regularly if it is worn down in 50% .
- No shut-off valve may be installed between the heater and the safety valve.
- If the vacuum exceeding the opening pressure of the safety valve occurs in the water supply system, the pressure reduc-
ing valve must be installed upstream of the safety valve.
- It is recommended to install an antiscalding mixing valve at the hot tap water outlet.
- Before pouring water to the heater for the first time, check whether the inspection flange bolts and all bolted connections o
he piping with the heater are tightened.
8. DISPOSAL
