BEFORE USING THE APPLIANCE
This appliance is intended to be used
in household and similar applications
such as
- staff kitchen areas in shops, offices
and other working environments;
- farm houses and by clients in
hotels, motels and other
residential type environments;
- bed and breakfast type

To ensure best use of your
appliance, carefully read the
operating instructions which contain
a description of the product and
useful advice. Keep these
instructions for future reference.
In purchasing this new product you
have chosen a household appliance
capable of matching the highest
expectations from a technical
standpoint and affording an ease of
use compatible with practical
requirements.
Your appliance is particularly
economic in terms of energy
consumption and therefore
environment friendly, if used
responsibly. If treated properly, it
will give you dependable service for
many years. To get the most out of
your new appliance, read the user
handbook thoroughly. You will find a
full description of the various
components. Keep this handbook
for future consultation.
Important: In the past, the doors of
refrigerators and freezers were
often equipped with spring catch or
bolt type locks. If a product of this
type is to be scrapped and disposed
of, destroy the lock to ensure
children cannot trap themselves
inside thus running serious risks.
1. After unpacking the appliance,
make sure it is not damaged and
that the door closes properly.
Any damage must be reported
to the dealer within 24 hours of
delivery of the appliance.
2. Wait at least two hours before
switching the appliance on, to
ensure that the refrigerant
circuit is fully efficient.
3. Installation and the electrical
connection must be carried out
by a qualified technician
according to the manufacturer’s
instructions and in compliance
with the local safety regulations.
4. Clean the inside of the appliance
before using it.

SAFEGUARDING THE ENVIRONMENT
1. Packing
The packing material is 100%
recyclable and bears the recycling
symbol . For disposal, comply with
the local regulations. Keep the
packing materials (plastic bags,
polystyrene parts, etc.) out of the
reach of children, as they are a
potential source of danger.
2. Scrapping/Disposal
The appliance is manufactured using
recyclable material. This appliance is
marked in compliance with
European Directive 2002/96/EC on
Waste Electrical and Electronic
Equipment (WEEE). By ensuring the
correct disposal of this appliance,
you can help prevent potentially
negative consequences for the
environment and the health of
persons.
The symbol on the appliance, or
on the accompanying documents,
indicates that this appliance should
not be treated as domestic waste but
must be taken to a special collection
centre for the recycling of electrical
and electronic equipment.
When scrapping the appliance, make
it unusable by cutting off the power
cable and removing the doors and
shelves so that children cannot easily
climb inside and become trapped.
Scrap the appliance in compliance
with local regulations on waste
disposal, taking it to a special
collection centre; do not leave the

CFCs. The refrigerant circuit
contains R134a (HFC) or R600a
(HC) (see the rating plate inside the
appliance). Appliances with
Isobutane (R600a): isobutane is a
natural gas without environmental
impact, but is flammable. Therefore,
make sure the refrigerant circuit
pipes are not damaged.
This product may contain
Fluorinated Greenhouse Gases
covered by the Kyoto Protocol; the
refrigerant gas is inside a hermetically
sealed system.

INSTALLATION
The appliance must be handled
and installed by two or more
persons.
Be careful not to damage the
floors (e.g. parquet) when moving
the appliance.
During installation, make sure the
appliance does not damage the
power cable.
To guarantee adequate
ventilation, follow the installation
instructions.

Install and level the appliance on a
floor strong enough to take its
weight and in a place suitable for
its size and use.
Install the appliance in a dry and

NEVER try to extinguish a fire
with water, but switch off the
appliance and then cover flame

INSTALLATION
Before installation, make sure that
the tubes on the rear of the
refrigerator have not been bent in
transit. If the tubes touch the
refrigerator or the wall, the
refrigerator will be irritatingly noisy
during operation.
If necessary, bend them carefully to
restore the correct clearance.The
Mini-kitchen must be installed in a
fixed and plumb upright position.
Any unevenness of the floor can be
accommodated by adjusting the feet.
Warm air must be free to escape
unobstructed at the rear of the
refrigerator so as not to affect
operation (and not to cause
increased electrical power
consumption). Accordingly, the
ventilation slots near the hotplates
must not be covered.
The machine is approved only for
installation against a wall. No free-
standing installation with back far
from wall is allowed, neither built-in
installation in a closed cabinet.
Only items of furniture may be
placed adjacently on either side.
Note: To align the height of the
doors, adjust the front feet.
To install an extractor hood...
Observe the minimum distance from
the hotplates! Minimum distance
between electric hotplates and
lower edge of extractor hood:
650mm. For reasons of safety this
distance must absolutely be
maintained!

CONNECTING THE MINI KITCHEN
Connections to the water supply and
waste pipelines should be made
preferably by a professional installer.
The Mini-kitchen is designed for
connection to the earthed socket
outlet of a 220-240V/50Hz supply,
installed in compliance with current
safety regulations.
The Mini-kitchen with electric
hotplates must be protected by a
16A fuse. The Mini-kitchen can be
converted by a qualified installer for
operation at 380-415V 2N 50Hz.
In this case a 10A fuse is required.
Important: In the case of a fixed
electrical installation of the Mini-
kitchen, the installer must fit a multi-
pole switch installed in conformity
with national safety standards.
This multi-pole isolating device must
be fitted even if the plug is no longer
accessible after the appliance has
been installed.
Important for appliances operating
off 380-415V 2N (CH) supply.
The Mini-kitchen must be connected
by the installer to the 380-415V 2N
50Hz supply, fitting a 10A fuse and a
multi-pole switch installed in
conformity with national safety
standards.

USE OF THE ELECTRIC HOTPLATES
A Hotplates
BKnobs
The normal and fast hotplates offer six nominal
cooking temperatures.
In the “0” position the hotplate is off.
The fast hotplate, at the front, is identified by a
red dot at the centre. This plate is used for quick
boiling, frying, etc. For this type of use, turn the
control knob to position 3.
Use position 3 for quick cooking, and position 1
for slow cooking or simmering. Turn up or down
as required.
For braising, pot-roasting, etc., select position 3
until the fat is hot. Then put in the meat and turn
down to position 2, or select a higher or lower
setting as required.
To cook dishes of this type more delicately, select
a lower setting.
Both hotplates incorporate an overheating
protection system that reduces the electrical
input automatically if a hazard temperature level
is sensed.

Using residual heat to save energy
When preparing almost any type of dish, the
residual heat of the hotplates can be used for the
final 5-10 minutes of cooking. Accordingly,
remember to select “0” in good time.
The symbols on the knobs indicate the different
hotplates:
The yellow indicator remains alight as long as the
hotplates are in operation.
General warnings
Whatever the method of cooking, use only pots
and pans suitable for electric hotplates. These
have special bases which conduct heat more
effectively. A lid should always be used when pot-
roasting, braising etc., to save energy. Also, water
soluble flavours and vitamins will be lost if
cooking vapours are allowed to escape freely.
Abundant amounts of vapour indicate a high
temperature; select a lower temperature before
vapour builds up.
Take care that salt does not fall onto the
hotplates. An unused hotplate can rust over time
as a result of the moisture absorbed by the salt.
Cleaning the hotplates
Clean the hob when it is cool, after each use.
This will prevent the build-up of dirt and make
cleaning easier.
Do not allow food residue to dry on the
plates.
Do not use abrasive products, chloride based
corrosives, oven-cleaner spray or pan
scourers for cleaning the plates.

USE OF THE TIMER
Cooktop with timer (if fitted)
B Hotplate control knob 1-6 (1-3).Each radiant
hotplate hob has its own control knob.

Turning on the hotplates
Set the control knob B between 1 and 6 (1 and 3).
Turn the control knob C to the right (as far as it
will go).
The hotplates operate when both knobs B and

Setting the timer
Position of the control knob:
C1 for a cooking time of around 60 minutes.
C2 for a cooking time of around 30 minutes.
Intermediate settings are possible.

COMPARTMENT
Switching on the appliance
Starting up the appliance
Depending on the model, the appliance is equipped with
external controls or internal controls.
Plug in the appliance.
For appliances featuring external controls:
The light, positioned either below the control panel or inside
the appliance (depending on model) switches on each time
the door is opened.
The green LED lights up, indicating the appliance is operating.
For appliances featuring internal controls, when the appliance is
connected to the mains the inside light switches on each time
the door is opened (provided the thermostat is not turned to ).
The thermostat, located inside the refrigerator compartment or
on the front panel, is used to adjust the temperature of both the
refrigerator compartment and freezer compartment (if fitted).
Adjusting the temperature
1. For correct operation and optimum storage of food, follow
instructions given in the enclosed product sheet for
thermostat adjustment.
2. To adjust the temperature in the compartment, turn the
thermostat control knob:
lowest numbers 1-2/MIN for the LEAST COLD internal
temperatures;
numbers 3-4/MED for a MEDIUM internal temperature;
highest numbers 5-7/MAX for the COLDEST internal
temperatures.
Thermostat set to : all functions, including the inside light, are
switched off.
Note: The ambient air temperature, frequency of door opening
and the position of the appliance can affect internal
temperatures. These factors must be taken into account when
setting the thermostat.

HOW TO OPERATE THE FREEZER
COMPARTMENT
The freezer compartment is , or .
Compartments marked or can be used to store
frozen foods for the period of time indicated on packaging. If the
freezer compartment is marked
, it can also be used to
freeze fresh food. The quantity of fresh food that can be frozen
in 24 hours is shown on the rating plate.
In the event of a power
cut, the freezer compartment will maintain a sufficiently low
temperature for food storage. However, it is advisable to avoid
opening the compartment door during such periods.
Freezing fresh food (only in compartments marked )
Important
Before freezing, wrap and seal fresh food in: aluminium foil,
cling film, air and water-tight plastic bags, polythene
containers with lids or freezer containers suitable for freezing
fresh food.
Arrange the fresh food in the top compartment, leaving
sufficient space around each pack for the air to circulate.
For optimum freezing, turn the thermostat down by half a
point when placing fresh foods in the freezer compartment.
The food will be completely frozen in 24 hours.
For appliances with compartments marked the table
alongside shows the recommended maximum storage time for
frozen fresh foods.
When purchasing frozen food products:
Ensure that the packaging is not damaged (frozen food in
damaged packaging may have deteriorated). If the package is
swollen or has damp patches, it may not have been stored
under optimal conditions and defrosting may have already
begun.
When shopping, leave frozen food purchases until last and
transport the products in a thermally insulated cool bag.
Place the items in the freezer compartment as soon as you
get home.
If food has defrosted even partially, do not re-freeze it.
Consume within 24 hours.
Avoid, or reduce temperature variations to the minimum.
Respect the best-before date on the package.
Always observe the storage information on the package.
Making ice cubes
Fill the ice cube tray 2/3 full and place it in the freezer
compartment
Do not use sharp or pointed instruments to detach the tray if
it is stuck to the freezer compartment bottom.
Bend the ice tray slightly to remove the cubes.

HOW TO DEFROST AND CLEAN THE
REFRIGERATOR
Before any cleaning or maintenance operation, unplug the
appliance from the mains or disconnect the electrical power
supply.
Defrosting of the refrigerator compartment is completely
automatic.
Droplets of water on the rear wall of the refrigerator
compartment indicate that the periodic automatic defrost cycle
is in progress.
The defrost water is automatically routed to a drain outlet and
into a container from which it evaporates.
Clean the defrost water drain outlet regularly using the tool
supplied with the appliance in order to ensure defrost water is
removed correctly.
Defrosting the freezer compartment
Defrost the freezer compartment once or twice a year or when
the ice formation is excessive.It is perfectly normal for ice to
form. The amount of ice which forms and the rate at which it
accumulates will depends on room temperature and humidity,
and on the frequency with which the door is opened. Ice
formation is concentrated at the top of the compartment and
does not affect the efficiency of the appliance.
If possible, carry out defrosting when the compartment is nearly
empty.
Remove the food from the freezer compartment, wrap in a
newspaper and group together in a cool place or in a portable
cooler.
Leave the door open to allow the frost to melt.
Clean the interior with a sponge soaked in warm water and/
or neutral detergent. Do not use abrasive substances.
Rinse the interior and dry thoroughly.
Put the food back into the compartment.
Close the door.
Plug in the appliance once again.
Switch the appliance on.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE
Periodically clean air vents and the condenser at the rear of
the appliance with a vacuum cleaner or a brush.
Clean the outside using a soft cloth.
Prolongued Disuse
1. Empty the refrigerator.
2. Disconnect the appliance from the power supply.
3. Defrost and clean the interior.
4. In the event of prolonged disuse, leave the door open to
prevent the formation of mould, odours and oxidation.
5. Clean the appliance.
Clean the inside of the freezer compartment (where fitted)
when defrosting.
Periodically clean the inside of the refrigerator compartment
with a sponge dampened in warm water and/or neutral
detergent. Rinse the interior and dry with a soft cloth. Do not
use abrasive products.
Clean the outside with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive
products, scourers, stain-removers (e.g. acetone,
trichloroethylene) or vinegar.

TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE

low enough.

3. The appliance is excessively noisy.
Has the appliance been installed correctly?
Are the pipes at the back touching or

It is normal to hear the noise of the
refrigerant liquid in circulation.
4. The appliance is not working?
Is there a power failure?
Is the plug properly inserted in the socket?
Is the double-pole switch on?
Do the household electrical system
protection devices work correctly?
Is the power cord damaged?
5. Water collects at the bottom of the
refrigerator compartment.
Is the thermostat setting correct?
Is the defrost water drain blocked?
6. The inside light is not working. Perform the
checks for point 4, and then:
Disconnect the appliance from the power
supply, check the light bulb and, if
necessary, replace it with a new one:
- Traditional light bulb
(max 25W)

- LED bulb (with the same
characteristics), only
available from the After-
Sales Service.
Removing the light bulb: Unscrew the bulb
anticlockwise as shown in the figure.

1. See if you can solve the problem yourself
with the help of the “Troubleshooting guide”.
2. Switch the appliance on again to see if the
problem has been solved. If it has not,
disconnect the appliance from the power
supply and wait for about an hour before
switching on again.
3. If the problem persists after this course of
action, contact After-Sales Service.
