IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS. READ CAREFULLY AND KEEP FOR FUTURE REFERENCE.
The lightning ash with arrow head within an equilateral triangle is intended to alert the user
to the presence of uninsulated dangerous voltage within the products enclosure that may be
of sucient magnitude to constitute a risk of electric shock to persons and animals.
The exclamation point within an equilateral triangle is intended to alert the user to the
presence of important operating and maintenance instructions in the literature accompanying
the device.
For safety reasons, this class II product is provided with double or reinforced insulation as
indicated by this symbol.
Danger! Excessive sound pressure from earphones and headphones can cause hearing loss. If
you listen to loud music for a long time, your hearing may be impaired. Set to a moderate
volume.
1. This product is only intended for audio entertainment. Do not use the product for any other purpose
than described in this manual in order to avoid any hazardous situation. Improper use is dangerous
and will void any warranty claim.
2. For household use only. Do not use outdoors.
3. Danger! Excessive sound pressure from earphones and headphones can cause hearing loss. If you
listen to loud music for a long time, your hearing may be impaired. Set to a moderate volume.
4. Danger of suocation! Keep all packaging material away from children.
5. Only use under normal room temperature and humidity conditions.
6. The product is only suitable for use at moderate degrees of latitude. Do not use in the tropics or in
particularly humid climates.
7. Outdoor antennas should be located away from power lines.
8. Do not move the product from cold into warm places and vice versa. Condensation can cause damage
to the product and electrical parts.
9. Do not use attachments or accessories other than recommended by the manufacturer or sold with
this appliance. Install in accordance with this user manual.
10. When installing the product, leave sucient space for ventilation. Do not install in bookcases, built-in
cabinets or the like.
11. The ventilation should not be impeded by covering the ventilation openings with items, such as
newspapers, table-cloths, curtains, etc. Do not insert any objects into the product. Do not place any
electronic equipment or toys on the product. Such items could fall from the top and cause product
damage and/or personal injury.
12. Do not install near any heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves or other appliances
(including ampliers) that produce heat.
13. Do not apply excessive force to the front or top, as this could ultimately overturn the product.
14. Do not shift or move the product when powered on.
15. Do not touch, push or rub the surface of the product with any sharp or hard objects.
16. Danger! To reduce the risk of re or electric shock, do not expose this product to rain or moisture.
17. The product shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing and no objects lled with liquids, such as
vases, shall be placed on the product.
18. Care should be taken so that no objects or liquids enter the enclosure through openings.
19. No naked ame sources, such as lighted candles, should be placed on the product.
20. Refer all servicing to authorised service agent. Do not attempt to repair the product yourself. Servicing
is required when the product has been damaged in any way, such as the supply cord or plug are
damaged, liquid has been spilled, objects have fallen into the product, the enclosure is damaged, the
product has been exposed to rain or moisture, does not operate normally, or has been dropped.

21. Before connecting the product to a socket outlet, make sure the voltage indicated on the product
corresponds to your local mains.
22. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent or similarly
qualied person in order to avoid hazard.
23. Regularly check if the supply cord, product or extension cable is defective. If found defective, do not
put the product into operation. Immediately pull the plug.
24. Place the supply cord and, if necessary, an appropriate extension cable in such away that pulling or
tripping over it is impossible. Do not allow the supply cord to hang down within easy reach.
25. Do not jam, bend or pull the supply cord over sharp edges.
26. Use only power supplies listed in the user instruction.
27. The adaptor power plug is used as the disconnect device; the disconnect device shall remain readily
operable. To completely disconnect the power input, disconnect the adaptor power plug.
28. The product may not function properly or not react to the operation of any control due to
electrostatic discharge. Switch o and disconnect the appliance; reconnect after a few seconds.
29. Protect the supply cord from being walked on or pinched particularly at the plug, convenience
receptacles and the point where it exits from the product.
30. Never pull the adaptor power plug by the supply cord or with wet hands.
31. Disconnect the adaptor power plug in case of faults during use, during lightening storms, before
cleaning and when not using the product for a longer period of time.
32. Danger! Before cleaning, switch the product o and disconnect the adaptor power plug from the
socket.
33. When the product has reached the end of its service life, make it defective by disconnecting the
adaptor power plug from the socket and cutting the cord in two.
34. Please refer the information on exterior bottom enclosure for electrical and safety information before
installing or operating the apparatus.
35. Rating label position: On the bottom of the radio.
36. Never expose rechargeable batteries to excessive heat (e.g. bright sun, re), and never throw them
into re. The rechargeable batteries could explode.
37. The rechargeable battery is permanently built into the product and cannot be replaced.
38. Never short-circuit the contacts of the rechargeable battery. Do not throw the rechargeable battery or
the product into re. There is a danger of re and explosion!
39. Never charge the rechargeable battery of the product unattended.
40. Caution! There is danger of explosion from improper replacement of the battery. Replace battery only
with the same or equivalent type of battery.
41. Always exchange the entire set of batteries.
42. Make sure the battery are correctly inserted. Observe the polarity (+) plus / (-) negative on the battery
and the housing. Improperly inserted battery can lead to leakage or, in extreme cases, a re or an
explosion.
43. Remove used batteries. Remove the batteries if you know that the product will not be used for a
longer period of time. Otherwise, the batteries could leak and cause damage.
44. Non-rechargeable batteries must not be recharged.
45. The connections must not be short-circuited.
46. Remove the batteries from the product before disposal.
47. Never expose batteries to excessive heat (e.g. bright sun, re), and never throw them into re. The
batteries could explode.
48. Keep batteries out of reach of small children. If batteries have been swallowed, seek immediate
medical attention.
49. If the batteries leak, remove them with a cloth and dispose of them accordingly. Prevent battery
acid from coming into contact with skin and eyes. If you do get battery acid in your eyes, ush them
thoroughly with lots of water and consult a physician immediately. If battery acid comes into contact
with your skin, wash the aected area with lots of water and soap.

This product is intended for audio playback via Bluetooth®, FM-Radio and audio input (AUX IN) USB or
microSD card. Any other use may result in damage to product or injuries. This product is designed for
household use only and not intended for commercial use. Do not use the product if damage is seen.

BEFORE FIRST TIME USE
• Remove the product and accessories carefully from the original packaging.
• Inspect the delivery contents for completeness and damages. Should the delivery contents be
incomplete or damaged, contact your sales outlet immediately.
• The product must be charged before the rst use. Please refer to the chapter Charging batteries”.

POWER SUPPLY
Charging Batteries

The product can be operated via the build in batteries. To charge the rechargeable batteries,
connect one end of the power adapter to the DC IN jack. Connect the power adapter to an
electrical outlet. During charging the icon
ashes on the display. When the battery is fully
charged, the symbol disappears. The charging time is 2.5 hours.
Note: Playing time is dependent on parameters such as mode, volume, etc.
AC operation

The product can also be operated via AC connection. Plug one end of the adapter into the DC IN
jack and connect the power cord to an electrical outlet.
Batteries

Unscrew and open the battery compartment. Insert 2 x AA batteries (type AA/LR06). Observe the +
and – polarities. Close the battery compartment.
SETTING

To turn on/o the product, press the STANDBY button.

Adjust the volume of the speaker by turning the VOLUME control knob.
Sound

Using the BASS and TREBLE controls you can adjust bass and treble independently.
With the ECHO control you can adjust the echo feature for the external microphone.

OPERATION MODE
Bluetooth®
This mode allows you to use the product as a speaker for an external device (e.g. mobile phone or MP3
player). The signal is transmitted wirelessly via Bluetooth®.
Note: Before playback, you must pair the product (in this case the Bluetooth® receiver) and the device
(transmitter).
Compatibility
This product is compatible with Bluetooth® enabled mobile phones and music devices. It features
Bluetooth® version 3.0+EDR. It also works with devices featuring other Bluetooth® versions that support
e.g.
Wireless stereo listening
• A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Prole)
Wireless music control
• AVRCP (Audio/Video Remote Control Prole)
Note:
• Keep the range of 10 meter when pairing.
• Before pairing a Bluetooth® AV source, refer to the AV source user guide regarding safety instructions
and use with other devices.
Pairing

1. Press the INPUT button until bt appears on the display. The product is in Bluetooth® mode.
2. Activate the Bluetooth® function on the playback device. If necessary make a search for
Bluetooth® devices. Pair your playback device with OPK500BT-B. The devices are now
connected, and the display will light in red.
3. To end the Bluetooth® connection:
- Turn o the Bluetooth® function on the playback device.

1. Start the music playback on the audio device or press
button on the speaker (if supported).
2. Press the button shortly to skip title forward or backward.
3. Adjust the volume with the volume control knob or on your playback device.
FM radio

Press the mode button INPUT until the display shows FM or any frequencies.
Auto scan and program

Press the SCAN button and the automatic channel search will be start. Found channels will be
stored automatically. You can select the stored channels with the button CH + and CH -.

This mode allows you to use the product as a speaker for an external device (e.g. mobile phone or
MP3 player).
Warning! Observe the relevant safety information for use with other devices when connecting an
external device.
1. Connect the cinch plug (3.5 mm) of the audio cable with the audio playback device and the
other cinch plug (3.5 mm) into the AUDIO INPUT-jack of the speaker.
2. Press the mode button INPUT until LINE appears on the display. The product is in AUDIO INPUT
mode.
3. Turn on the audio playback device and start the music playback.
4. Adjust the volume with the volume control knob or on your playback device.
USB-Playback

1. Plug in an USB drive. The speaker reads the USB data immediately and starts the playback with
the rst track.
2. Press the
button to skip a title forward or backward.
3. Use the to pause or continue the playback.
4. You can adjust the volume with the volume control knob.
Note
• Support USB drive up to max. 32 GB.
• The order of the playback is determined by the order of the folder.
• Connect the USB device directly to the USB port of your product. The usage of an extension cord
is not recommended and may cause product interference and faulty data transfer. This product
supports USB 1.1 and 2.0.
microSD card

1. Insert a micro SD card into the micro SD card slot. Independent from any operation mode the
display will show Lod and the speaker switched to SD card mode.
2. The speaker reads the SD card immediately and starts the playback with the rst track.
3. Press the
button to skip a title forward or backward.
4. Use the to pause or continue the playback.
5. You can adjust the volume with the volume control knob.
Note
• Support microSD card up to max. 32 GB.
• The order of the playback is determined by the order of the folder.

KARAOKE FUNCTION
Microphone

Switch on the microphone and it will be automatically detected by the Karaoke speaker. The
volume of the microphone can be adjusted by turning the MIC. VOL knob.
Note: Alternative a wire microphone with 6.3 mm cinch plug can be directly plugged in the MIC
jack socket.

The microphone setting can be adjusted with the MIC PRIORITY button:
MIC PRIORITY OFF:
Microphone and music from any audio input source will be playback simultaneously.
MIC PRIORITY ON:
When sounds transmitted through the microphone (e.g. vocal) then the music will be faded out
and only the vocal will be heard. It vocal is mute then the music will be playback again.
Record and Playback
You can record your vocal songs and playback the recordings. To record an USB or microSD must be
plugged in.

Press the button RECORD to start the recording. To end press any of the buttons RECORD, INPUT
or REC. PLAY. A folder named with 'VOICE' will be automatically on the USB or microSD card. The
recordings will be named with 'REC001’, ‘REC002’ and so on.

CLEANING AND CARE
Disconnect the product from the power supply before cleaning it. Clean the product with a soft, damp
cloth and a mild cleaning agent. Finish by wiping it with a dry cloth. Do not use alcohol, acetone,
benzene, scouring cleansers etc. to clean the product. Do not use hard brushes or metal objects.
