Connections
Important:
L To use link to mobile feature only, a telephone line cord is not required.
L If you want to use a landline feature but the supplied telephone line cord is not available for your
country, please contact your nearest Panasonic service centre for sales information. In this
case, set Mobile Line Only Mode to Off (page 6).
Base unit

Run the telephone line cord ( ) and AC adaptor ( ) through the slot of the stand.

Connect the telephone line cord ( ) and AC adaptor ( ) to the jacks at the bottom of the unit until you
hear a click.

Connect the AC adaptor to the power outlet.

Connect the telephone line cord to the telephone line jack until you hear a click.

A DSL/ADSL filter (not supplied) is required if you have DSL/ADSL service.

Battery installation/Battery charging
Charge for about 7 hours.

Pairing a Bluetooth mobile phone
1 Handset:

L After the corresponding indicator (1/2) on the base unit starts flashing, the rest of the
procedure must be completed within 5 minutes.
2 Your mobile phone:
While the corresponding indicator (1/2) is flashing, follow the instructions of your mobile
phone to enter the pairing mode.
L Depending on your mobile phone, it may ask you to enter the Bluetooth PIN (default:
0000). If your mobile phone shows PassKey confirmation on its display, follow the
directions to proceed.
3 Handset:
Wait until a long beep sounds.
L It may take more than 10 seconds to complete pairing.
L When the corresponding indicator (1/2) lights up, the mobile phone is connected to the
base unit. You are ready to make mobile calls.

L Make sure that your mobile phone is set to connect to this product automatically. Refer to your
mobile phone’s operating instructions.

Connecting/disconnecting the mobile phone
Auto connection to the Bluetooth devices (mobile phones)
The unit connects to the Bluetooth devices at regular intervals if the connection is lost. To change
the interval (default: 1 min), see the operating instructions.
L When you are using a mobile line, the base unit loses its connection from other Bluetooth
devices (mobile phone). To automatically resume the connection to mobile phones, leave the
auto connection on.
Connecting/disconnecting the mobile phone manually
If you will not be using the paired mobile phone’s link to mobile feature temporarily (for example,
you do not want the unit to ring when your mobile line receives a call), you can disconnect your
mobile phone from the base unit. If you want to use it again, reconnect the mobile phone to the
base unit.
L After you disconnect a paired mobile phone from the base unit manually, it will automatically be
connected to the base unit in 30 minutes. If you do not use the link to mobile feature anymore,
unpair the mobile phone.
L A disconnected mobile phone is not unpaired from the base unit, so pairing it to the base unit
again is unnecessary.

If you do not use the landline, set the mobile line only mode to use this unit more conveniently.
The default setting is On.
L If you turn on the Mobile Line Only Mode, disconnect the telephone line cord from the
base unit. Otherwise the Mobile Line Only Mode cannot be activated.

Making/Answering calls (Handset)

Using Bluetooth devices
Copying phonebook entries from a Bluetooth mobile phone (phonebook transfer)
You can copy phonebook entries from the paired mobile phones or other mobile phones (not
paired) to the unit’s phonebook.

To copy from paired mobile phones:
{r}: Select the desired mobile phone. s {OK}
L Copied items are stored to the category (Mobile 1 or Mobile 2) which the mobile
phone is paired to.
To copy from other mobile phones (not paired):
{r}: Other Mobile s {OK} s {r}: Select the category you want to copy to. s {OK}
3 When Use the Mobile to transfer phone book is displayed: Go to step 4.
When Select Mode menu is displayed:
{r}: Select Auto or Manual. s {OK}
Auto: Download all entries from the mobile phone automatically. Go to step 5.
Manual: Copy entries you selected.
L Select Mode menu is displayed only when the mobile phone supports PBAP (Phone
Book Access Profile) for Bluetooth connection.
4 Mobile phone:
Follow the instructions of your mobile phone to copy phonebook entries.
L For other mobile phones (not paired), you need to search for and select the base unit. The
Bluetooth PIN (default: 0000) may be required. If your mobile phone shows PassKey
confirmation on its display, follow the directions to proceed.
L The entries being copied are displayed on the handset.

Playing music from a Bluetooth device
This feature allows you to:

use the handset as a remote control when playing music from a Bluetooth device through the
base unit’s speaker.

Use your Bluetooth device’s media player app to play music.
