Instructions
Whenyouremovethetreadmillfromitsbox,firstchecktomakesurealloftheparts
arepresent.Then,readthroughtheassemblyinstructionsbeforeyoubegin.
1.Tipthetreadmillonitsside.Makesuretherunningbeltisinpositioninthetracks
oftheBeltAlignmentGuidesontheundersideofthemachine.(SeeFig.1).Be
suretoremoveanddisploseofshippingblockslocatedalongthesideofthebed
andremovedfromtheunderside.

GUIDELINESFOREXERCISE
HowhardshouldIexercise?
CAUTION:
Studiesshowthattoachievethe
benefitsofaerobicexercise,itis
necessarytoworkwithinyour
trainingzone.Yourtrainingzone
dependsonyourageandlevelof
fitness.
Theabovechartindicatesthe
recommendedHeartRate
trainingzones(darkenedareaof
thechart).Thesefiguressare
calculatedbytaking220minus
yourage,andcalculating80%for
yourmaximumand65%forthe
minimumheartrateforaerobic
exercise.
Thedurationofyourexercisesessiondependsonyourfitnesslevel.Ingeneral,itis
recommendedthatyoumaintainyourheartrateinthetrainingzoneforatleast15to
20 minutestorealizeanaerobicbenefit.Beginnersshouldalwaysstartslowlyand
bringtheirworkoutsessionsupto20minutesormore.Asyourfitnesslevel
increases,youwillbeabletomaintainyourheartrateinthetrainingzoneforlonger
periods:Usuallybetween20and30minutes.
Whenfirststartingyourworkout,usethefirstseveralminutestowarmup,then
slowlyincreaseyourworkloadtobringyourheartrateintoyourspecifictrainingzone.
Attheendofyourworkout,graduallydeceaseyourworkload,thenexerciselightly
asa"cooldown".
Researchindicatestoachievethegreatestbenefits,shouldbeperformed3-5times
aweek.Itisimportanttoallowsufficienttime,atleast24hours,foryourbodyto
recoverafterexercise.
HeartRatetrainingzonesareapproximations.Alwayscheckwithyour
physicianstolearnwhatappropriateheartratelevelisbestforyourfitness
level.

ADJUSTINGTHERUNNINGBELT
The6300treadmillincludesabeltalignmentgaugelocatedontheleftsideofthe
motorenclosure.Theedgeoftherunningbeltshouldbeinthemiddleofthegreen
portionofthegauge.Ifthebeltedgeisinthegreenarea,thebeltisproperly
adjusted.Iftheedgeofthebeltisintheredportion,thebeltneedsadjusting
immediately(seeFig.6)
Thebeltisproperlyalignedatthefactory.However,duringshippingandhandlingor
byuseonanunevensurface,thebeltmaymoveoffcenter.Therefore,itisimportant
thatyoucheckthebelt'salignmentbeforeusingthetreadmill.Thecorrectalignment
oftherunningbeltiscriticalforthesmoothoperationofthetreadmill.
Failuretorealignthebeltcouldresultintearingorfrayingofthebelt,whichisnot
coveredinthewarranty.
Pleasefollowthebeltadjustmentprocedurelistedbelow:
1.Turnonthepowerswitchlocatedonthefrontoftreadmill.
2.PresstheSPEEDbuttontoincreasethespeeduntilthespeedreaches2.0
mph/3.2kphonthedisplay.
3.Whiletheunitisrunningat2mph/3.2kph,determinewherethebeltisinrelation
tothebeltalignmentgauge.
4.Shouldthebeltbeintheredcolorrange,followthestepsbelowtoreturn thebelt
totheproperoperatingposition.

THISPROCEDURE.
