Assembling the Piano
5. Place the rear board as shown in gure 4, and align the rear
board’s screw holes (four locations at the bottom) with the pedal
board’s screw holes.
* If you have diculty inserting the rear board, loosen screws
C
so it is easier to position the rear board in the stand.
6. From the front, use screws
A
(two locations) to fasten the rear
board to the hardware inside the side board.
Then use screws
B
(four locations) to fasten the rear board to the
pedal board from behind.
While you tighten the screws, correct any warping so that the top edge
of the rear board and pedal board are level.

2. Assembling the Piano
1. As shown in gure 6, align the screws on the bottom of the piano
unit (one each at left and right) with the hardware of the side
boards, and while slightly lifting the front edge of the piano unit,
pull it toward yourself so that the screws hook into the hardware.
* Be careful, so you do not get your ngers pinched.
2. First hand-tighten the screws
D
(two locations) two or three
rotations, and then use a screwdriver to fasten them rmly.
3. Connect the AC adaptor to the DC In jack on the bottom of the
piano unit, and connect the pedal cord to the Pedal jack from the
back (gure 7).
* Use the coated clips on the bottom of the piano unit to secure the

4. Loosen the music rest screws slightly (2–3 mm), insert the music
rest brackets between the screws and the body of the piano, and
turn the screws to secure the music rest while using one hand to
support the music rest.
When attaching the music rest, make sure that it is rmly inserted all the
way toward the back, and use your hand to support the music rest so
that it does not fall.
* Take care not to pinch your hand.
* Do not apply excessive force to the music rest.
* If you need to remove the music rest, loosen the screws while
using one hand to support the music rest. Detach the music rest,
and then rmly retighten the screws.
5. Use screws
E
(two locations) to fasten the headphone hook.
6. Connect the AC adaptor and power cord, and plug the power cord
into an AC outlet.
7. Adjust the Adjuster.
Lower the adjuster located below the pedal board, adjusting it so that it
contacts the oor. If the piano is placed on carpet, lower the adjuster a
little more so that it pushes slightly against the oor.

1. Stand Assembly
1. Open the packaging material shown in gure 1 (two pieces) by
unfolding the side with the higher pad, and then fold it back
inward.
You’ll use this packaging material to align the side boards and pedal
board so that the heights of their screw holes match, making it easier to
fasten the screws.

2. As shown in gure 2, fasten the side board (left) (the side with the
hardware facing inward) to the pedal board. Hand-tighten the
screws
C
(two locations) two or three rotations, and then use a
screwdriver to fasten them rmly.
* If you don’t start by hand-tightening the screws, the threads
might become stripped, making it impossible to complete the
assembly.
* When attaching the pedal board, do not allow any gap to remain
between the side board and pedal board when the pieces are
assembled.
3. In the same way, use screws
C
(two locations) to fasten the side
board (right).

To assure that assembly is carried out properly, make sure to read these instructions before you begin the assembly. Please keep these instructions
close at hand, so you can refer to them whenever you need.
Caution when assembling the unit
• Make sure to enlist the help of at least one other person.
• Lift the piano carefully—all the while keeping it level.
• If necessary, spread out a blanket or similar material to prevent the stand or oor from being scratched during assembly.
• Make sure to keep screws and any other small parts in a safe location that is out of the reach of small children, so such small parts won’t accidentally get swallowed.
• Place the unit at a location that is level and sure to remain stable. The unit must never be placed on top of deep-pile carpet. Otherwise, you risk causing damage to the
pedals due to instability and unnecessary movement.
• Be careful not to pinch your hands or drop this unit on your foot.
• All screws should be tightened provisionally rst, then tightened later. To tighten a screw provisionally, screw it in until about half of its length is no longer visible. For a
successful assembly, compensate for any warping while you tighten the fasteners.
• Do not use an electric screwdriver when tightly securing the screws. Otherwise, you risk stripping the threads.
• Be careful not to pinch the pedal cord during assembly.
Caution when moving the unit
• You must rst detach the music rest, close the keyboard cover, disconnect the AC adaptor, and raise the stand adjuster.
• With at least one other person helping you, lift the unit horizontally and carry it, taking care not to pinch your hands or drop the unit on your feet.
