batteries lying around. They may otherwise be swallowed by children or
pets. If accidentally swallowed seek immediate medical attention.

This product is not intended for use by persons (including children) with

knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction con-
cerning use of the product by a person responsible for their safety. Children
should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the product.

Never open the housing of the product. Doing so can result in injury and
product damage. Repairs must be performed by a qualified electrician.

Changes or modifications to this product not expressly approved by the
party responsible for compliance could void the user‘s authority to operate
the product.
CAUTION – To reduce the risk of personal injury or

This device is designed solely for non-commercial, indoor household
use in measuring ambient temperature and humidity. Do not use for
any other purpose.

This unit is a sensitive electronic device. Treat it carefully and do not
expose it to any sharp impacts.
•
Place device in the room where measurements will be made for at least
15 minutes before use.
•
The device is NOT waterproof; keep away from water and other liquids.
•
This device is not a toy. Keep out of the reach of children.
•
Clean the device with a damp cloth. Do not use any abrasive cleaning
products and never submerge the device in water.
•
Do not place any objects on top of the device.
•
Never use the device underneath a cover, such as a blanket or pillow.
•
Protect the device from knocks, damp, dust, chemicals, drastic changes
in temperature, direct sunlight, splashes, sand and near-by sources of
heat (ovens, heaters).
•
Keep the device away from naked flames (candles).

Magnetic fields may cause the product to malfunction. In this case briefly re-
move the battery from the product and reinsert. Please refer to section “Installing/
changing batteries“.
Battery Handling Safety Precautions
•
If your skin or eyes come into contact with battery fluid, flush out the affected areas
with water and seek medical assistance.
•
Protect the batteries from excessive heat.
•
Risk of explosion! Never throw batteries into a fire.
•
Do not disassemble, split or crush the batteries.
•
Use only the size and type of batteries specified.
•
Choking hazard! Small children may swallow and choke on batteries. Store
the batteries out of the reach of small children.
•
Keep batteries away from children and pets. Batteries may be harmful if swallowed.
Should a child or pet swallow a battery, seek medical assistance immediately.
•
Observe the plus (+) and minus (-) polarity signs.
•
If a battery has leaked, put on protective gloves and clean the battery compartment
with a dry cloth.
•
Clean the battery contacts and also those of the device prior to battery installation.
•
If the batteries in the device are depleted or the device is not to be used for a long
period, take the batteries out of the battery compartment.
•
Use identical or equivalent battery types only. Do not mix different types of batteries
together (e.g. Alkaline and Carbon-zinc or rechargeable batteries) or old batteries
with fresh ones.

Always replace all batteries at the same time.

Do not short-circuit batteries.

Do not use rechargeable batteries.

Do not charge batteries.

Never heat batteries in order to revive them.

3. Introduction
The HM55 thermo-hygrometer measures and displays room temperature and relative
humidity. You can use the free ‘beurer FreshRoom’ app (iOS and Android), to upload
measured values to your mobile device (via Bluetooth
®
) for long-term monitoring.
After pairing your mobile device with the thermo-hygrometer, the current time ap-
pears in the LCD Display and then alternates with temperature and the relative
humidity reading.
You can use the app to set high and low thresholds for temperature and humidity. The
LED indicator on the device will then illuminate green or red to indicate that current
readings are within or outside the set range, respectively.
You can connect up to five Thermo-hygrometers using the 'beurer FreshRoom' app
and assign a unique name to each, such as 'kitchen' or 'living room'.

Installing/changing batteries
1. Remove the Battery Compartment Cover in the direction of the arrow and, if ap-
plicable, remove the old batteries.
2. Insert two new AAA batteries, following the polarity
markings inside the Battery Compartment.
3.
Reattach the Battery Compartment Cover; the LCD Display will
read “----”. The current room temperature and the relative humi-
dity are then shown.
4. Place the device as close to the middle of the room as possible,
away from any drafts.

Using the 'beurer FreshRoom' mobile app
NOTE: Make sure your mobile device meets the minimum system requirements as
follows: Bluetooth
®
4.0 or later, iOS version 8.0 or Android™ version 4.4 or later, as
applicable. For a list of supported devices, scan the QR code below:
1. Download and install the free 'beurer FreshRoom' app from either the Apple App
Store (for iOS devices) or Google Play (for Android devices).
2. Start the app and follow the instructions.
3. When the thermo-hygrometer pairs with your mobile device, the time will appear
in its LCD Display.
4. Updated measurements will display every minute.
Resetting the device to factory settings
To reset all settings to factory defaults, press the reset button once. The settings
and data stored on the device up to this point are deleted. Data which has already
been transferred to the app remains saved.

9. Warranty
Limited Lifetime Warranty For Original Purchaser
Your Beurer thermo-hygrometer, Model HM55, is warranted to be free from defects
in materials and workmanship for the life of the product under normal conditions of
intended use and service. This warranty extends only to the original retail purchaser
and does not extend to retailers or subsequent owners.

We will, at our option, repair or replace the Beurer thermo-hygrometer, Model HM55,
without additional charge, for any part or parts covered by these written warranties.
No refunds will be given. Repair or replacement is our only responsibility and your
only remedy under this written warranty. If replacement parts for defective materials
are not available, Beurer reserves the right to make product substitutions in lieu of
repair or replacement.
For warranty service contact our customer service department at 1-800-536-0366
or at info@beurer.com to provide a description of the problem. If the problem is
deemed to be within the scope of the limited lifetime warranty, you will be asked to
mail the product at your costs in its original package with proof of purchase, your
name, address and phone number. If the problem is not deemed to be within the
scope of the limited lifetime warranty, we will provide a quotation for repair respec-
tively replacement and return shipping fee.
This warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse or abuse; accident; the at-
tachment of unauthorized accessory; alteration to the product; improper installation;
misapplication; lack of reasonable care with respect to the product; unauthorized
repairs or modifications; improper use of electrical/power supply; normal wear; loss
of power; dropped product; malfunction or damage of an operating part as a result of
failure to comply with instructions for use or to provide manufacturer’s recommended
maintenance; transit damage; theft; neglect; vandalism; or environmental conditions;
loss of use during the period the product is at a repair facility or otherwise awaiting
parts or repair; or any other conditions whatsoever that are beyond the control of
Beurer. This warranty is void if the product is ever used in a commercial or business
environment. The maximum liability of Beurer under this warranty is limited to the
purchase price actually paid by the customer for the product covered by the warranty,
as confirmed by proof of purchase, regardless of the amount of any other direct or
indirect damage suffered by the customer.
This warranty is effective only if the product is purchased and operated in the country
in which the product is purchased. A product that requires modifications or adap-
tation to enable it to operate in any other country than the country for which it was
designed, manufactured, approved and/or authorized, or repair of products damaged
by these modifications is not covered under this warranty.
THE WARRANTY PROVIDED HEREIN SHALL BE THE SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE
WARRANTY. ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES, OBLIGATIONS, OR LIABILITES, IN-
CLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABI-
LITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE LIMITED IN DURATION
TO THE DURATION OF THIS APPLICABLE WRITTEN WARRANTY. Some states do

IN NO EVENT SHALL BEURER BE LIABLE FOR ANY SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL,

OTHER WARRANTY, EXPRESS, IMPLIED OR ANY OTHER THEORY OF LIABIL-
ITY, WHATSOEVER. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of special,

Beurer does not authorize anyone, including, but not limited to, retailers, the sub-
sequent consumer purchaser of the product from a retailer or remote purchaser, to
obligate Beurer in any way beyond the terms set forth herein.
This warranty does not extend to the purchase of opened, used, repaired, repack-
aged and/or resealed products, including but not limited to sale of such products
on Internet auction sites and/or products by surplus or bulk resellers. Any and all
warranties or guarantees shall immediately cease and terminate in connection with
any products or parts thereof which are repaired, replaced, altered, or modified,

3. Introducción
El termohigrómetro HM 55 mide y muestra la temperatura ambiental y la humedad
relativa. Puede usar la aplicación gratuita ‘beurer FreshRoom’ (iOS e Android), para
cargar los valores medidos en su dispositivo móvil (vía Bluetooth
®
) y poder hacer
un seguimiento de los mismos a largo plazo.

Una vez vinculado su dispositivo móvil con el termohigrómetro, aparecerá la hora
actual en la pantalla LCD. A continuación, aparecerán alternativamente la hora y las
lecturas de temperatura y humedad relativa.
Puede usar la aplicación para predefinir los valores máximos y mínimos de tempe-
ratura y humedad. Entonces, el indicador LED del dispositivo se iluminará en verde
o rojo para indicar que las lecturas actuales se encuentran dentro o fuera del rango
establecido, respectivamente.
Puede conectarse hasta con cinco termohigrómetros con la aplicación ‘beurer
FreshRoom’ y asignar un nombre único a cada uno, tal como ‘cocina’ o ‘sala’.
