Introduction
This manual describes how to start up hand sets and configure corresponding
extension number.
Extension numbers
VAKA with C10 supports up to 400 unique extension numbers (100-500). VAKA's
extension number is 99.
It is advantageous to keep track of Gigaset base stations and hand sets in VAKA.
Axema recommends that the first number corresponds to a stairwell or building,
the second number to the floor number and the third number to the apartment.
Multiple base stations
If multiple base stations are installed they require a unique IP address. Configure
one bass station and associated hand sets at a time. Document the installation in
any system to differentiate the devices, for example:

Registering a hand set
1. Supply power to the base station by PoE or traf.
2. Power up the hand set by holding the red phone button for two
seconds. If the hand set does not power up, it requires charging.
3. Press the big middle button to enter the menu.
