- Buttons design is based on typical model and might be
slightly dierent from the actual one you purchased, the
actual shape shall prevail.
-All the functions described are accomplished by the unit, if
the unit has no this feature, there is no corresponding
operation happened when press the relative button on the
remote controller.
-When there are wide dierences between Remote controller
Illustration and USERS MANUAL on function description,
the description on USERS MANUAL shall prevail.
NOTE:
TEMP Button : Push this bu tton to decreas e the indoor

temperature se tting in 1 F increments to 62 F.
FP Button: During the h eating opera tion(only when the
setting mode is HEAT), press this button and t he unit will
operate at hi gh fan speed with the temperature auto matically

set to 8 C/46 F. The display window of indoor unit will display
FP . Press the buttons o f ON/OFF, MODE, FAN SPEE D,
TEMP UP/DOW N, TIMER ON/ OFF, SLEEP or FP while
operating will cancel the FP function.
RESET Butt on: When you press the rec essed RESE T button,
all current se ttings are can celled and th e control will return to
the initial set tings.
SLEEP Button: Press this button to go into the Energy-Savin g
operation mode. Pres s it again to cancel. This function is only
can be used on COOL , HEAT and AUTO mode and maintain the
most comfortable tem perature for you.

TEMP Button : Push this button to i ncrease the indoor

MODE Selecti on Button: Each time the button is pres sed,
the operation m ode is shifted in the direction o f the arrow:

FAN SPEED Button: Used to select the Fan Speed in four steps-
AUTO LOW MED or HIGH. Each time the button is pressed,
the fan speed mode is shifted.

TIMER ON Button: Press this button to in itiate the auto-on time
sequence. Each press will increase the auto -timed setting in 30
minutes increments. W hen the setting time d isplays 10h, each
press will increase th e auto-timed setting 6 0 minutes increments .
To cancel the auto-timed program, simp ly adjust the auto-on time
to 0.0.

NOTE: While the u nit is runnin g under SLE EP operation m ode, it woul d
be canceled if you press the MODE, FAN SPEED or O N/OFF button .
SWING Bu tton: Push this s witch button to activate auto
swing featu re of the ho rizontal louv er. Push it again to stop.

NOTEPlease do not select HEAT mode if the machine you
purchased is cooling only type. Heat mode is not supported by
the cooling only appliance.
NOTE: Press and hold and butto ns together for 3 seconds will

alternate the tem perature display between the C & F scale.

TIMER OFF Button: Press this button to in itiate the auto-o time
sequence. Each press will increase the auto -timed setting in 30
minutes increments. W hen the setting time d isplays 10h, each
press will increase the auto-timed setting 60 minutes increments.
To cancel the auto-timed program, simply adjust the auto-o time
to 0.0

and, if in the TIMER mod e, will show the ON an d OFF settings of
the TIMER. If in the FAN mode, not hing is appeared.

when remote controlle r transmits signals to th e indoor unit.

LOCK Button: When you pres s the recessed L OCK button, all
current settings a re locked in and the remote contr oller does not
accept any opera tion except that o f the LOCK. Pres s again to
cancel the LOCK mode.

TURBO Button: Active/Disable Turbo function. Turbo function
enables the unit to reach the pres et temperature a t cooling or
heating operation in the shortest ti me(if the indoor u nit has no
this function, ther e is no correspon ding operation ha ppened
when press Turbo butto n.)

LED DISPLAY Button: Press this button to cl ear the digit
display in the air con ditioner, press it again to illum inate (Not
available for the units without LED display window).

TIMER DISPLAY Indicator: This display area show s the settings
of the TIMER. That is, if onl y the starting time of operation is set,
it will display the TIMER O N. If only the turning o  time of operation
is set, it will display th e TIMER OFF. If both operations are set,
it will show TIMER ON-O FF which indicates yo u have chosen
to set both the starting time and o time.

FAN SPEED Indicator: Press the FAN SPEED button to select
the desired fan speed setting (Auto-Low-Me d-High). You selection
will be displayed in the LCD window except t he Auto fan speed.

Operating the Remote Controller
The Remote Controller uses two alkaline dry b atteries (LR03X2).
1. To insta ll the batteries, slide the back c over of the battery
co mpartment and insta ll the batteries a ccording the
dir ection (+an d -)sh own on the Rem ote C ontroller.
2. To repla ce th e old batteries, use t he sa me m ethod as
me ntioned ab ove.
Install/Replace Batt eries
NOTE: All signs show n in the Fig.2 is for the purpo se of clear
presen tation. But dur ing the actual o peration only t he re-
lative fu nctional signs are shown on t he display pan el.
LOCK Indicator: LOCK display is displa yed by pushing the
LOCK button. Push th e LOCK button to clea r display.
OPERATION MODE Indicator: When press the MOD E button,
it shows the current o perating mode -- AUTO COOL DRY
HEAT (Cooling only model w ithout) mode.

ON/OFF Indicator: This symbol appears whe n the unit is turned
on by the remote contro ller, and disappear when the unit is
turned o.

NOTE
1. When repl acing batterie s, do not use old batteries or a dierent
type batter y. This may cause the remote cont rol to malfunc tion.
2. If you do not use the remote con troller for se veral weeks
remove th e batteries. O therwise batt ery leakage m ay damage
the remote controller.
3. The averag e battery life under norm al use is abo ut 6 months.
4. Replace th e batteries w hen there is no answering beep from t he
indoor uni t or if the Transmis sion Indicato r light fails to light.
5. Do not dis pose batterie s as unsorted municipal w aste. Collecti on
of such wa ste separate ly for special treatment is necessary.

Switch on the power an d the OPERATION indication lamp o n the
display panel of the ind oor unit starts ashing, and turns o after
ashes for 6 times.
1. Use the MODE butt on to select AUTO.
2. Push the TEMP button to s et the desired tempera ture within
O O
a range of 62 F ~ 86 F.
3. Push the ON/OFF bu tton to start the air cond itioner. The OPE-
RATION lamp on the display panel of the indoor unit lights . The
FAN SPEED is automatically se t and there are no fan s peed
indicators shown on the display panel of the remote controller.
4. Push the ON/OFF bu tton again to stop the u nit operation.
1. In the AUTO m ode, the air conditioner can logically choose
the mode of COOL, FAN and H EAT by sensing the dierence
between the actual am bient room te mperature a nd the set
temperatu re on the rem ote controller.
2. If the AUTO mo de is not com fortable for y ou, the desir ed
mode can be selected m anually.
AUTOMATIC OPERATION
NOTE
1. If the AUTO mode is not comfor table, you ma y manually ov er-ride
the settings by using COO L, HEA T or F AN modes.
2. Push the TEMP butto n to set the d esired tempe rature within
O O
a range of 6 2 F ~ 86 F.
3. Push the F AN SPEED to select the F AN mode of AUTO, HIG H,
MED or LO W.
4. Push the O N/OFF button , the operatio n lamp lights and the air
conditioner start to opera te as your set tings. Push th e ON/OFF
button agai n to stop this unit operation.
The FAN mode can not be used to control the temperature.
While in this mode, only steps 1 3 and 4 may be performed.
COOL/ HEAT (Cooling only model without) and
FAN Operation

DRY mo de wi ll automatica lly ope rate m any tim es wit hout
running the C OOL an d FAN mo de.
1. Push the MO DE button to se lect DRY.
2. Push the TEM P button to set th e desired temp erature within
O O
a range of 62 F ~ 86 F.
3. Push the ON /OFF button, th e OPERATION lamp ligh ts and the
air conditione r starts to opera te in DRY mode at L OW fan
speed. Push the ON/OFF bu tton again to sto p this unit opera tion.
DRY Operation
NOTE
Push TIMER O N button to set th e auto- on time a nd TIMER OFF
button to set the auto-o time.
1.1 Push the TIMER ON button, then the remote controller shows
TIMER ON , the last set time for the starting operation and the
signal "h" will be shown on the DIGITAL DISPLAY area. You
are now ready to reset the time to STAR T the operation.
1.2 Push the TIMER ON button again to set desired unit start
time.
1.3 After setting the TIMER ON ,there will be a o ne-half second
delay before the remote controller transmits the signal to
the air conditioner. Then, after approximately another 2
seconds, the signal "h" disappears and the set temperature
will re-appear on the digital display.
TIMER Operation
1. To set the starting time.
2. To set the stopping time.
2.3 After setting the TIMER OFF ,there will be a one-half second
delay before the remote controller transmits the signal to
the air conditioner. Then, after approximately another 2
seconds, the signal "h" disappears and the set temperature
will re-appear on the digital display.
2.2 Push the TIMER OFF button again to set the time you want to
stop the operation.
2.1 Push the TIMER OFF button and the remote contr oller will
show TIMER O FF, the last set time for the stop ping operation
and the signa l "h" will be show n on the DIGITAL DISPLAY area.
You are now ready to reset th e time of the STOP op eration.
3. Set the starting & s topping time
3.1 Push the TIMER ON button, the remote controller will sho w
TIMER ON, the last set time for START operation and the
signal "h" will be shown on the DIGITAL display area. You
are now ready to readjust the TIMER ON to start the operatio n.
3.2 Push the TIMER ON button again to set the time you want to
start the operation.
3.3 Push the TIMER OFF button, the remote controller will sho w
TIMER OFF, the last set time for STOP operation and the
signal "h" will be shown on the DIGITAL display area. You
are now ready to reset the time to STOP operation.
3.4 Push the TIMER OFF button again to set the time yo u want to
stop the operation.
3.5 After setting the TIMER, there will be a one-half second delay
before the remote controller transmits the signal to the Air
Conditioner. Then , after approximately another 2 seconds, the
signal "h" disappears and the set temperature will re -appear on
the digital display.
Change the TIMER
To change the TIMER ON/OFF time, just press the corresponding
TIMER button and reset the time.
To cancel the TIMER ON/OFF setting, just adjust the TIMER time
to 0.0.
NOT E
The s etting time is r elative time. Th at is the time se t is bas ed
on th e delay of the current time.
1. Be sure there are n o obstacles between th e remote co ntroller
and the r eceiver of indoor unit otherwise t he air cond itioner will
not work .
2. Keep the Remote C ontroller aw ay from any liquids.
3. Protect t he remote controller fr om the hig h temperatu res and
exposure to radiation .
4. Keep the indoor rece iver out of d irect sunligh t or the Air Cond i-
tioner ma y malfunctio n.
5. Keep Re mote Contr oller away from EMI(E lectro-Magn etic
Interfere nce) suppli ed by other household appliances .
