Eurolux O167 is a solar-powered garden spike light that is designed to provide illumination for garden footpaths and lawns at night. It is easy to install and does not require any wiring. The light has a built-in sensor to automatically turn on when it gets dark and off when it gets light. It is also equipped with an ON/OFF switch for manual control. The light includes a 1.2V 200mAh AA Ni-MH rechargeable battery that lasts up to 6 hours on a full charge. The battery is replaceable, so you can keep your light running for years to come.

If the external exible cable or cord of this luminaire is damaged, it should be exclusively replaced

by the manufacturer or his service agent or a similar qualied person in order to avoid a hazard. To

ensure that you get maximum longevity and maximum use out of your luminaire, please observe

the following safety instructions.

Electrical products can cause death, injury, or damage to property. Installation of the luminaire

must be carried out by a qualied electrician, in accordance with SANS 10142. On completion

of installation, ensure that the Certicate of Compliance is updated.

• This luminaire is checked in full for conformity to the quality standards and safety requirements.

• The manufacturer / supplier is not responsible for any damage of properties and persons,

caused by the incorrect use or installation of the Solar Garden Spike.

• Should you be unsure of how to install this luminaire correctly, please consult a professional

electrician or your supplier for assistance.

• Ensure all items/ components, threads and screws are tightly secured.

IMPORTANT:

• Tampering with this luminaire, I.E. Using silicon sealers, will invalidate your warranty.

• When the protection glass is damaged, it should be replaced immediately. The luminaire

must not be used without the protection glass.

• Choking hazard: May contain small parts. Keep away from children.

GENERAL INFORMATION

HOW SOLAR LIGHT’S WORKS:

During the day, the solar panel converts solar power into rechargeable battery and at night the light

turns on automatically using stored energy. The length of time the light illuminates is dependent on

geographical location of the solar light, weather conditions and seasonal light availability.

LOCATION:

Place the solar light where the solar panel can receive at least 6-8 hours of full and direct sunlight.

By placing the solar light in a shady area it will reduce the battery charge and will shorten the dura-

tion of the light at night.

The solar light has a built in sensor to automatically turn on when dark and o when bright, hence

placing it near an area where there is a bright light is not advisable.

The solar light is ideal for lighting garden foot path and lawns at night.

FIRST TIME USE:

Please turn the switch into “ON” position to start the automatic system.

If the Solar Light did not automatically turn on at night after 6-8 hours exposure to sunlight, please

check the following:

1. Please check that the switch is in “ON” position.

2. Check the battery to ensure it is securely in contact with the terminals.

3. Ensure that the product is placed in an area where the solar panel can receive direct sunlight.

PRECAUTIONS:

1. Note that Solar Light is designed to work when the surrounding is dark, placing it near an area

where there is bright light may cause the LED light to be very dim or not work at all.

2. The battery has been charged by the manufacturer, the electric level will probably drop, please

charge it as recommended to realise its maximum performance.

3. Surface of the solar panel must be kept clean as dust or dirt may hinder the panel from

charging fully.
