1. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Important Warnings

Before using your appliance read this instructions manual carefully and

keep it in a safe place as you may need to consult it in the future.

Before turning on your appliance, and to ensure a safe and correct

operation, do not use if:

• It has fallen to the ground;

• You notice any evidence of damage;

• Any anomaly occurs during its operation.

use it is advisable to read these instructions thoroughly.

intended and solely for household use. Any damage resulting from

using the appliance outside this scope, any incorrect use, as well as

any manual modications to the product will not be covered and

automatically voids the warranty.

maintenance must not be carried out by children without supervision.

1.1. Power Supply

Make sure the main voltage is compatible with the appliance’s. If this is

not the case please consult the Customer Support Service.

1.2. Power Cord and Other Cables

Do not tangle the cord or pull it to disconnect the appliance. Also, keep

the cord away from warm surfaces.

Never use the appliance if it has a damaged cable or socket.

Take it to the Technical Support Service for replacement.

1.3. Humidity and Water

Do not use your appliance in humid places. Do not allow the appliance

to become wet under any circumstances as this may be dangerous.

To avoid re hazard or electric shock do not expose your appliance

to humidity or water. Furthermore, do not place your appliance under

water (e.g. for cleaning).

1.4. Cleaning

Before cleaning, be sure to switch o the appliance and remove the

plug from the main power supply. Always allow the unit to cool down

before cleaning.

To clean the exterior of the product use a dry soft cloth only.

properly install and operate this product and enjoy its advanced

• The appliance is designed exclusively for private use and for the

designed purpose. This appliance is not t for commercial use. Do

not use it outdoors. Keep it away from sources of heat, direct sunlight,

humidity (never dip it into any liquid) and sharp edges. Do not use

the appliance when your hands are wet. If the appliance is humid or

wet, unplug it immediately.

unplug it from the outlet (pull the plug itself, not the cord). If the

appliance is not being used, remove the attached accessories.

• Do not operate the appliance without supervision. If you leave the

room, turn the appliance o and unplug it from the outlet.

• The appliance and the power cord have to be checked regularly

for signs of damage. If these show signs of damage, do not use the

appliance.

• Do not try to repair the appliance on your own. Always contact an

authorized technician. To avoid exposure to danger, all faulty cables

must only be repaired by the manufacturer, by our customer service

or by a qualied technician, using a cable of the same type.

• Use only original spare parts.

Special Safety Instructions for this Appliance

WARNING!:

• Never add water to the oil!

• Oils and fats may burn when overheated. Please be careful!

Do not forget to switch o the appliance after use. Start

by turning the thermostat to the lowest setting and, then,

remove the power cord from the outlet.

• Please do not operate the appliance with an external timer or a

separate remote control system.

2.2. Using the Product

Operation

Before using the appliance for the rst time:

1. Remove the packaging. Then take the lid o the deep fryer. Inside

the deep fryer you will nd a frying basket. Take all objects out of the

fryer.

2. It is highly recommended to clean the lid, casing, container and

frying basket as described in the Cleaning session.

3. Please pull the connecting cable out of the cable compartment.

CAUTION: OVERLOAD:

• When using extension cords, these should have a cable

cross-section of, at least, 1.5 mm2.

• Do not use any power strips, as this device is too powerful.

Useful tips

1. Always remove the food remaining in the oil (e.g. pieces of French

fries). Change the oil after using the appliance a few times. Use high

quality frying oil or frying grease.

2. Fats and oils must be heatable to high temperatures. Do not use

margarine, olive oil or butter. These are not t for frying, as they start

to smoke even at low temperatures. We recommend the use of liquid

frying oil.

WARNING:

If you use fat, please divide it up into small pieces. Set the

thermostat to a low temperature and add the pieces slowly.

Once the fat has melted and the correct oil level is reached,

you can set the desired temperature on the thermostat.

Under no circumstances should you place the fat as

a whole directly into the deep frying basket!

3. In order to reduce the acrylamide content of food containing starch

(potatoes, cereals) the temperature during deep-frying should not

exceed 190° C (or possibly 195° C). Furthermore, the frying time

should be kept as short as possible and the food only fried until it

turns golden yellow.

4. Please note that the safety switch (7) is operated when the control

element is inserted in the guide mechanism.

5. Choose the right frying temperature and check the conditions of

the food to be fried. A rule of thumb is that pre-fried foods require a

higher temperature than raw foods.

6. Do not carry or move the deep fryer if the oil or grease is still hot.

7. When frying dough-like foods, scrape o the excess dough and put

the pieces carefully into the oil.

8. Please ensure that the deep frying basket handle has been correctly

attached.

• Press the ends of the wire together at the free end of the handle.

• Insert the brackets into wire hoops inside the basket.

9. The deep frying basket must not be more than 2/3 full. Do not

overll the frying basket.

10. Rub dry humid foods with a cloth before frying.

CAUTION:

Large amounts of moist food items (e.g. frozen chips etc.)

may foam the oil which, under certain circumstances, may

cause the oil to overow.

Use

1. Make sure that the appliance is unplugged and switched o (the

control lights are o.)

2. Take the lid o the deep fryer.

3. Remove the frying basket and ll the container with oil or grease

(maximum 3 L). The lling level must be located between the

minimum and the maximum level.

4. Insert the plug into a 220-240V, 50/60 Hz power socket. The red

control light lights up. Set the desired temperature by turning the

thermostat button (1).

5. The green control light lights up. Once the set temperature has been

reached, the green control light automatically switches o. Place the

frying basket containing the food items to be fried carefully into the

hot fat.

6. The green control light switches on and o several times during

frying. This is normal and it indicates that the temperature is

controlled by the thermostat and is being maintained. Once the

frying time is over (frying times to be found on the packaging of the

food or in the recipe), remove the frying basket.

7. Let the oil drip o the fried food.

8. In order to switch o the appliance, please turn the temperature

regulator to OFF and remove the plug from the socket. Gather the

power cord in the form of a spiral in the cable compartment.

2.3. Maintenance

WARNING:

While waiting for the appliance to cool down and before

cleaning, always unplug it from the outlet.

CAUTION:

• Do not use any wire brush or other abrasive objects.

• Do not use any acidic or abrasive detergents.

• Under no circumstances should the device be immersed in

water for cleaning.

Deep frying container

• In order to change the oil, remove the deep frying container and pour

out the oil.

• Clean the deep frying container, the lid and the housing with a damp

cloth and household detergent, if necessary. Please do not immerse in

water.

• The deep frying basket can be cleaned in the usual way in soapy

water.

Housing

Clean the housing after use with a slightly damp cloth.

2.4. Troubleshooting

Device is not working

• Check the power connection.

• Check the thermostat setting.

Other possible causes:

The appliance is tted with a safety switch (7). This prevents the

heater from being accidentally switched on.

Check that the control element is correctly in place.

Overheating Protection

• If you should accidentally switch on your deep fryer when empty of

oil or fat, the overheating protection will automatically switch on. The

appliance is no longer ready to be used; unplug it.

• Only after the device has been left to cool down completely should

the “RESTART” button (8) on the rear of the control element be

operated in order to use the deep fryer again. For this, you should use

a plastic or wooden object at least 4 cm long.

1.1. Alimentación

Compruebe que la tensión de la red eléctrica es compatible con la

indicada en el aparato. En caso de que no sea compatible, consulte al

1.2. Cable de alimentación y otros cables

No enrolle el cable de alimentación ni tire de él para desenchufar el

aparato. Asimismo, manténgalo alejado de supercies calientes.
