Cleaning the air filter on the Hitachi CPS-235 Media Projector
Turn off the power and let the projector cool.
On the right hand side when looking at the front is an air filter grill.
On some projector models,
the filter is located on the
bottom.
At the bottom of this grill are two tabs.
Gently lift up on each of them to remove the air filter grill.
Inside you will see the air filter.
There are two tabs at the top.
Gently press on each of them to remove the air filter.
Remove the air filter.
Move well away from the projector.
Remove the accumulated dust by gently blowing on the convex side of the air filter.
Replace the air filter, remembering that the tabs go up.
Replace the air filter vent, remembering that the tabs go down.
Now it is time to reset the Filter Timer...
To Reset the filter timer:
With the projector running, press the MENU button to open the menu.
Choose the "OPTION" on the menu using the UP/DOWN buttons, then press the RIGHT
button or ENTER button.
Choose the "FILTER TIME" using the UP/DOWN buttons, then press and hold the RIGHT
button of projector or the RESET button of remote control for 3 seconds.
Choose the "RESET" using the UP button.
