To assemble the lamp, pull the excess power cord through the base, screw the socket assembly to the top of the lamp body, squeeze the legs of the harp together and insert the two ends between the prongs of the harp holder, place the shade onto the harp and secure it with the rubber washer and finial, and finally, install a 150-watt maximum medium base type "A" 3-way bulb into the socket.
