IMPORTANT INFORMATION
WARNING
• The maximum combined load for these cross bars is 198 lb. including product weight 8.8 lb. Never exceed
this weight limit.
• It is essential that the load is evenly distributed across both bars.
• Please refer to the vehicle owners manual for details of any special requirements in relation to the use of
cross bars.
• 2 people should fit and remove the bars to reduce the risk of damaging the vehicles roof.
• If your vehicle has a glass roof or sun roof or sun roof take special care not to over tighten the bars as this
could cause the glass to crack.
• After fitting the bars drive a short journey then re-check the bars to ensure they are still fixed securely.
• Carrying loads may affect the vehicles handling and stability, especially when cornering or in strong winds.
Take special care and avoid heavy breaking or accelerating.
• The vehicles stopping distance will be longer when carrying a load.
• Ensure loads are stacked securely and weight is distributed evenly over both bars. Use suitable straps to
ensure the load is secure. Avoid elastic straps.
• In cases of long loads secure the ends of the load with non elastic rope to the vehicles bumpers.
• Regularly check the cross bars and load being carried to ensure they are tight and secure.
• Always remove the bars when going through a car wash.
• Remember, when the bars are fitted the height of the vehicle is increased.
• We advise removing the bars when not in use to improve fuel consumption.
• Please look after your keys as spares are not available.
