Switch Mounting Bracket Installation
The switch mounting BRACKET installation is not required on the 350 Series Models. If your model is a 350 Series Model, skip to
“Mounting the Blower” on page 3 of these instructions. The two mounting BRACKETS shown below may be discarded if you are
installing this blower on a 350 Series Model. Installation of the correct fan switch mounting BRACKET will assure accurate operation of
the automatic fan.
1. Locate the fan switch and remove the two (2) screws that hold the fan switch mounting PLATE to the fan assembly.
2. Gently pull fan switch wires from the junction box to extend black wires.
3. Place fan switch wires on switch mounting BRACKET (smaller sized bracket for 500 Series
Models; larger sized BRACKET for the 650 Series Models). The metal switch needs to face
away from bracket. Lay switch wires flat on mounting BRACKET and align top of fan switch
with top of bracket.

4. Replace switch mounting PLATE on switch BRACKET using the screws removed in Step 1 above.
5. Ensure that fan switch is facing away from fan assembly and even with top of switch MOUNTING bracket.
6. Attach switch mounting BRACKET to outside of fan assembly using the two (2) screws provided.

Mounting the Blower
Note: All electrical work must conform to your local codes and
ordinances or in their absence, with National Electrical Code,
ANSI/NFPA 70. If you are not familiar with wiring codes in
general, have a competent electrician do this job. In CANADA:
CANADIAN ELECTRICAL CODE C22.1.

1. Place the motor and blower on the heater floor, securing with four (4) screws. Attach three (3) screws to the inlet duct and one
(1) screw to the heater floor, using the existing screw holes. Align the opening in the base of the motor and blower with the
opening in the furnace floor. The opening on the side of the motor and blower should align with the opening on the heater inlet
duct.
2. Attach the “HI” and “LO” speed switch to the upper left corner on the back of the heater and replace the corner bracket with the
speed switch plate using the existing mounting holes. The correct position for the fan switch is shown below. The top of the fan
switch should be level with the notch directly across the switch on the blower mounting plate. Make sure speed switch wires
are secured with clamp (provided in the kit) away from the combustion chamber before operating the heater.

Operation
This accessory is operated using the factory equipped, three-prong (grounding) plug and cord. When using the plug and cord, for your protection
against shock hazard, it must be plugged directly into a properly grounded three-prong receptacle. DO NOT CUT OR REMOVE THE PRONG.
You must select “HI” or “LO” on the speed switch (item 8) for automatic blower operation. When the heater heats up, the fan switch is activated and the
blower will operate. When the heater cools down, the blower will turn off. The blower will not operate if the speed switch is set in the “OFF” (center)
position.
