5. Programming the SC-Series Alarm System
1. On the SA-001S, press and hold the "LEARN/SET"
button for 2 seconds and then release. The
"LEARN/SET" LED (Fig. 3) will flash.
2. On the SC-001 control panel, enter
your Master Pin [factory default 000];
then press the “B” key twice.
3. On the SA-001S, you will hear 2 beeps and
the LED will flash twice indicating that the
SC-001 has been programmed successfully.

6. Programming the M-Series 2in1 Alert/Alarm System
1. On the SA-001S, press and hold the "LEARN/SET"
button for 2 seconds and then release. The
"LEARN/SET" LED (Fig. 3) will flash.
2. On the M-1 console, press and
hold the "MUTE" [located on the
rear] button for 5 seconds.

3. On the SA-001S, you will hear 2 beeps and
the LEDs will flash twice indicating that the
M-1 has been programmed successfully.
7. Programming the Alarm Sound Duration
User can customize the alarm period from 30 seconds up to 10 minutes.
The factory default is 3 minutes.
1. On the SA-001S, press and hold the "LEARN/SET" button for 5
seconds; you can release the "LEARN/SET" button while all the PWR
and "LEARN/SET" LEDs (Fig. 3) turn on.
2. While all the LEDs are lit, press the "LEARN/SET" button once, the
LEDs flash once indicating the alarm period is set to 30 seconds.
3. To customize/change the alarm period, continue to press the
"LEARN/SET" button. Refer to the Table 1 (below).
The LEDs will flash corresponding to the number of times you pressed
the "LEARN/SET" button.
4. Press and hold the "LEARN/SET" button to confirm your setting. You
will hear 2 beeps and the LEDs will flash twice indicating the alarm
period is now programmed to the unit.

8. Solar Power Installation
The SA-001S is equipped with a solar panel (Fig. 1)
on top of the cover. During the day, it charges the
rechargeable battery pack. During the night, the
pack operates the unit.
1. Unplug the NiMH & Alkaline Connector (Fig. 2 ).
2. Install unit outside the premise with the mounting
materials included (see Package Content).
3. Connect the NiMH, Alkaline connector and close
the cover with the screws (Fig. 5).
The unit should be installed outside of the premise and facing the East, West or South
(most optimal) side. Avoid the North side and any shadows cast by walls, trees and roof
overhangs to the unit. (Fig. 6)
The SA-001S is built-in with Tamper Protection (Fig. 4) for security system. The
system is activated after the unit is mounted. If you remove the cover or move the unit to
another location then the system will alarm.
Please disarm the unit before you replace the battery or before you conduct any kind of
service maintenance, i.e. checking or cleaning the unit.

9. Replacing the Battery
For back-up, the SA-001S uses 3xAA Alkaline batteries. If the batteries are low, the unit will emit 3
beeps when the remote arms or disarms the unit. Replace all of them at the same time or recharge (if
using rechargeable battery only):
1. Remove the cover of the SA-001S (Fig. 5).
2. Replace old batteries with new ones in battery compartment (Fig. 1). Beware of the battery polarity.
3. Replace the cover.

9. Replacing the Battery
Your SA-001S requires few simple maintenance to ensure its continued reliability and operation.
- The solar panel on the top housing should be cleaned using a soft damp cloth. This will ensure the
solar panel receives all the available light.
- Test The unit periodically to ensure it is working.

A. You must program the sensor or remote to the SA-001S before they can work together [Section
5 and 6].
A. Ensure none of the sensors are triggered, i.e. the door or window sensor should be in close
status
A. You have set the Alert Notification Jumper to ‘Disable’, this will disable the beeping. Reset this
jumper to ‘Enable’ to hear the beeping.
A. You cannot erase just one sensor or one remote form the unit. You must erase all sensors or
remote and then program the ones that you want to keep.
A. The SA-001S will function properly if there is an AC power (model SA-001A only), even without
the backup batteries. The backup batteries provide power when there is no AC power, e.g. during
power failure.
