The Metronic 495390 is an infrared extender that allows you to control your home entertainment devices from outside of a closed cabinet. The device includes a base unit that connects to the power supply, a multi-lead with three infra-red eyes, and a receptor that you keep on the outside of the TV cabinet so that it can “see” the remote controls.

To use the device, simply place an infra-red eye on the front of each device inside the cabinet, using the double-sided adhesive that is included. Then, connect the base unit to the power supply and place the receptor on the outside of the cabinet. You can now control your devices from outside of the cabinet, even when the doors are closed.

Thank you for choosing the Metronic infra-red offset, we are sure you’ll be very
pleased with it. This clever accessory allows you to keep your VRC, DVR etc
hidden away in a TV cabinet and control them through the closed doors.
The device includes a base unit (B) to connect the power supply (A), the multi-
lead (C) with three infra-red eyes, and a receptor (D) which you keep on the
outside of the TV cabinet so that it can “see” the remote controls (see scheme 1
below). Place an infra-red eye on the front of each device inside the cabinet, using
the double-sided adhesive (see scheme 2 below).

Caution :
When using a CD, DVR or Blu-Ray, remember that the EJECT key can open the •
tray while the door is closed, which may damage the mechanism.
When the doors are closed, you can’t see if the devices are still switched on •
after you’ve switched off the TV. Make sure you check and avoid unnecessary
electricity consumption.
As per the EN 60065 norm requirements, please pay particular
attention to the following safety guidelines.
Do not obstruct the air vents with objects such as newspapers, table
cloths, curtains etc. Allow at least 5 cm around the product to allow
enough ventilation. Do not place the product on or near flamable
objects such as lit candles. The device may not be exposed to
dripping or splashing and no object filled with liquid, such as vases,
must be put on the device. If the mains power supply is used as the
on / off control, it must be easily accessible.

Gebruiksvoorzieningen :
Bij gebruik van een CD, DVD of Blu-ray speler moet men oppassen met de •
toets EJECT die het apparaat achter gesloten deuren zou openen wat het het
functioneren van de opening van het apparaat zou voortijdig zou kunnen doen
verslijten.
Met gesloten deuren is het niet makkelijk om te zien welke apparaten nog in •
gebruik zijn na U uw televisietoestel uit hebt gezet. Wees dus extra attent op dit
detail om onnodig stroomgebruik te vermijden.
Volgens de norm 60065, trekken wij uw attentie op de volgende
punten.
De luchtopeningen nicht bedekken met stoffen als kranten, tafellakken,
gordijnen, etc. Een minimale afstand van 5cm wordt aangeraden
rond het toestel om een genoege ventilatie te verzekeren. Het
is aangeraden geen vuurbron zoals kaarsen naast het toestel te
plaatsen. Het toestel moet in geen enkele geval in kontakt zijn met
water of waterdrupels. Als de voeding stekker als schakelaar gebruikt
wordt, moet deze stekker toegankelijk zijn.
