1.1 - GENERAL WARNINGS
- This manual is an integral part of the
machine and must be stored carefully for
future consultation.
If it is lost or further information is needed,
contact the local dealership or the manu-
facturer.
- Before operating the machine, the opera-
tor must read this manual thoroughly and
must acquire deep knowledge of technical
specications and controls.
- Before installing the machine, check that
the area is suitable for the size and weight
of the machine.
- The machine is not suitable for outdoor
installation.
- Do not install the machine near heat sourc-
es.
- This device can be used by children older
than 8 years or by people with diminished
physical, sensorial or mental capacities, or
without experience or required knowledge,
provided they are supervised or have
received instructions on safe use of the
device and understanding its risks.
- Do not use the device with wet hands or
bare feet.
- Do not allow unauthorised and unqualied
personnel to operate, adjust or service the
machine.
Furthermore, refer to this manual for all
necessary operations.
- Before cleaning and/or servicing the ma-
chine and before removing any guard,
ensure that the main switch is on “OFF”
(O), so that power is disconnected from the
machine during the operation.
- The power supply grid of the purchaser
must be tted with an automatic breaker
upstream of the machine main switch, as
well as a suitable grounding system meet-
ing all requirements of injury prevention
standards.
- Do not use adaptors, multiple plugs and/
or extensions.
- Do not use the machine if the power cable
is frayed or damaged.
- If operations are required on or near the
main switch, disconnect power from the
line to which the main switch is connected.
- Check that all safety devices (guards,
cases, microswitches, etc.) have not been
tampered with and are properly operating.
Otherwise, service them.
- Do not remove safety devices.
- To avoid personal danger, only use suitable
tools compliant with national safety stand-
ards.
- PAY UTMOST ATTENTION TO THE
WARNING LABELS OF THE MACHINE
EVERY TIME YOU OPERATE ON OR
NEAR THE MACHINE.
- Furthermore, the user must replace all
warning labels that are worn or unclear for
any reason, requesting spare ones from the
Spare parts service.
- If the machine is malfunctioning or com-
ponents are damaged, contact the local
dealership or the manufacturer.
- No one must use the machine for a
purpose other than the expected and
documented purpose.
Use of the machine must always take place
with the methods, timing and location set out
by good technical practice, in accordance
with current regulations and complying with
workplace health and safety standard as set
out by current laws of the country where the
machine is used.

1.2 - STANDARD REFERENCES
- The machine and its safety devices have
been manufactured in compliance with the
standards listed under the declaration of
conformity.
1.3 - DESCRIPTION OF SYMBOLS
Many accidents are caused by insufcient
knowledge and failure to apply safety rules
during operation and maintenance of the
machine.
In order to avoid accidents, read, under-
stand and follow all cautions and warnings
contained in this manual and those shown on
the labels applied to the machine.
To identify the safety messages included in
this manual the following symbols have been
used:
Electricity hazard
General hazard or miscellaneous in-
formation
Heat hazard (burns)
Danger of damaging the machine.
1.4 - PREPARATION BY THE PUR-
CHASER
a) Preparation of the installation area.
- The purchaser must prepare a support oor for the
machine as described in the installation chapter.
b) Electrical preparation.
- The power supply system must comply with current
national regulations of the area and must be tted
with an efcient grounding system.
- Position a disconnecting omni-polar device on the
power line, upstream of the machine.
The power supply cables must
be sized according to the maximum
current required by the machine so
that the total voltage loss under full
load is less than 2%.
c) Water preparation.
A drain tted with a siphon and a water supply grid
must be prepared to supply softened water with a
shuttering gate located upstream of the machine.
1.5 - EMERGENCY OPERATIONS IN
CASE OF FIRE
a) In case of re, cut-out power to the machine by
shutting off the main switch.
b) Extinguish the re with the suitable extinguishers.
You must not try to extinguish the
re with water when the machine is
live.

1.6 - RISK OF EXPLOSION
The machine is not suitable for use in environments
at risk of explosion.
1.7 - SOUND PRESSURE LEVEL
The machine is manufactured so as to maintain the
continuous equivalent weighed sound pressure level
A(dB) below the maximum allowed value (70dB).
1.8 - VIBRATION
The machine is tted with vibration dampening rubber
feet. During normal operation, it does not generate
vibration that is harmful to the operator or the envi-
ronment.
1.9 - EXPECTED USE
The coffee machine is manufactured and designed
only to dispense espresso coffee and to prepare
hot drinks (tea, cappuccino, etc.) by means of hot
water or steam.
Use of the coffee machine is reserved to profes-
sional operators.
The machine includes an area to pre-heat the cups.
It must be used only for this purpose; any other
use is to be considered improper and dangerous.
The manufacturer will not be held
liable for any damage to persons or
things due to improper use of the
machine.
1.10 - IMPROPER USE
The coffee machine is designed and manufactured only
for food preparation purposes, therefore the following
is prohibited:
- use of the machine by non-professional operators;
- using uids other than softened drinking water with
maximum hardness of 3/5 French degrees (60/85
ppn);
- heating liquids or other substances that are not for
consumption;
- pouring ground material other than coffee in the
lter holders;
- positioning objects other than cups and mugs on
the cup heating plate;
- placing containers with uids on the cup heating
plate;
- covering vents with cloths or other materials;
- covering the cup heating plate with cloths;
- touching the dispensing areas with your hands;
- using the machine if it is very wet.
This paragraph lists some improp-
er uses that can be reasonably
expected, but in any case the ma-
chine must be used observing the
instructions under the “Expected
use” paragraph.
1.11 -DECLARATION FOR MATERIALS
COMING INTO CONTACT WITH FOOD
The manufacturer SANREMO s.r.l. hereby declares
that materials used in its products are compliant with
EC regulation no. 1935/2004.
2 - SAFETY DEVICES
2.1 - SAFETY LABELS
Warning labels with descriptive symbols are present
on all areas that are dangerous for the operator or
technician.
Labels showing safety instructions
are applied on the machine; these
must be followed carefully by any-
one operating on the machine. Fail-
ure to comply with the instructions
on the label waives any liability of
the manufacturer for damage or
injury to persons or property that
could arise.

ations when the voltage is on.

2.2 - SAFETY PROTECTIONS
There are two types of safety systems designed and
tted to the coffee machine:
Mechanical safety devices
Electrical/electronic safety devices.
2.2.a - Mechanical safety devices
The mechanical safety devices are as follows:
- panel enclosing all electrical/electronic components
and the boiler, fully closed by screws;
- working surface tted with grille and tray to collect
uids;
- controls located on the top part of the machine,
above the dispensing areas;
- relief valve on the boiler;
- check valve on the water line.
2.2.b - Electrical/electronic safety devic-
es
The electrical/electronic safety devices are as follows:
- thermal breakers on motors;
- safety thermostats to monitor overheating;
2.3 - OPERATOR AREAS
The machine is operated by only one operator, who
stands in front of the machine to prepare coffee and
other hot drinks with ease.
2.4 - AREAS WITH RESIDUAL RISK
Residual risk areas are areas that cannot be protected
due to the specic type of operation they are used for;
on the coffee machine, these areas are as follows:
the area of the units when dispensing coffee;
the steam tap when heating drinks;
the hot water dispensing area;
Risk of burning is present in all
three areas.
2.5 - DANGEROUS AREAS
Dangerous areas are all areas in-
side the machine, under the safety
guards, where the technician can
operate when servicing the ma-
chine.
These areas are accessible only by
the technician.
3 - MACHINE DESCRIPTION
The following are the main features of the automatic
espresso coffee machine.
- Automatic powdered coffee machine with electronic
dosing control with programmable microprocessor
using a LED button panel and a touch screen. The
machine is also tted with a button for continuous
manual dispensing. Available in a 2- or 3-unit ver-
sion.

5.1 - UNPACKING THE MACHINE
1) Always check the conditions of the package: inform
the carrier if damaged.
2) Open the top part of the package and lower the
tabs.
3) Open the clear lm and lift the machine HOLDING
IT BY ITS BASE.
Pull out the accessories: supplies and technical
documentation (manuals).
4) The elements of the package (box, clear lm, metal
staples, etc.) can cut or injure if not handled with
care or used improperly; keep away from children
or unsuitable persons.

5.2 - MACHINE POSITIONING
Position the machine in its nal location, checking the
following:
1) the support cabinet is sufciently strong and stable,
keeping into account the weight of the machine, and
it is not sloped;
2) there are at least 10 cm between the rear and side
walls of the machine and the walls of the room, to
allow proper ventilation;
6. IDENTIFICATION OF COMPONENTS
3) the top part of the machine (cup heating plate) must
not be more than 150 cm from the oor;
4) set aside some space for a used coffee container
and a grinder/dosing machine near the machine;
5) prepare an electrical panel, a water drain and water
supply tap near the machine.

7. CONNECTIONS
WARNING: machine connecting
operations must be performed by a
specialised and authorized techni-
cian.
7.1 - WATER CONNECTION
The machine is supplied with the water intake and
drain pipes already connected.
Drain
A water drain (1) with siphon must be prepared near
the machine.
The drain siphon must be posi-
tioned at least 20 cm below the area
the machine is standing on.
Connect the free end (2) of the drain pipe to the drain
siphon (3) previously prepared, checking that the
drain pipe is free, without kinking or obstructions.
Intake
The machine must be connected to
a water mains supplying drinking
water, softened to a maximum hard-
ness of 3.5/5 French degrees (60/85
ppn).
Check that the supply pressure
does not exceed 4 bar (0.4 MPa). If
pressure is greater, install a pres-
sure reducer.
Connect the intake pipe (4) to a softener (5) with
the supplied impurity lter (6) between them
Before the softener (8), install a shuttering tap to
separate the water system from the machine.

7.2 - ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
Check that all switches are in
OFF position before electrically
connecting the machine.
A grounding connection is abso-
lutely compulsory and the system
must meet the current regulations
in the country of installation.
• Check the power supply voltage
(see the indication label); it must
match the voltage of the local grid.
The machine is connected to the grid by the supplied
power cable (2) and to a breaker (3) that is properly
sized for the machine power consumption.
See the wiring diagrams in the gure for the con-
nection method.
7.2.a - Equipotential connection
This connection, required by some standards, prevents
differences in electrical potential between the grounds
of the devices installed in the same room.
The machines prepared for this connection are tted
with the relevant terminal (4) located on the bottom of
the machine.
Connect an external equipotential connector of the
proper size to the relevant terminal (4), in compli-
ance with current regulations.

8. COMMISSIONING
8.1 - FIRST START-UP
WARNING: rst start-up operations
must be performed by a specialised
and authorised technician.
Open the water supply tap upstream of the machine.
Open the steam supply, turning the knob anti-clock-
wise (1).
Power on the machine power supply bringing the
breaker upstream of the machine to ON.
Turn the main switch (2) to “1” giving voltage to
the operating electrical circuits, LED (3) turns on
to indicate that the circuit is live, the displays light
up and the automatic lling program shown on the
display is started (4).
If automatic lling does not take
place within 90 seconds, the ma-
chine stops and the LEDs above
the unit button panels light up and
ash.
Turn the machine on and off to com-
plete the water intake in the boiler.
Wait until air mixed with water comes out of the
steam dispenser, then close the steam tap that was
previously opened.
Dispense water from the units, without tting the
lter holders, press one of the buttons (5), (6), (7),
(8), located on the front button panels, checking that
water comes out properly, venting any air bubble
present in the circuit.
Press the same button again to stop dispensing.
Dispense hot water by pressing button (9), dispens-
ing will stop automatically when the quantity set in
the program is reached.
Wait until the unit set temperature (94 °C) is reached,
as shown on the displays (10) located above each
unit, as well as the temperature of the boiler shown
on display (4). Check on pressure gauge (11) that
the boiler pressure is approx. 1 - 1.2 bar (0.1 - 0.12
MPa) and that the water supply pressure from the
mains is not above 6 Bar (0.6 MPa).
Position a jug with handle under dispenser (12)
and dispense water by pressing button (9), check-
ing that dispensing is correct; dispensing will stop
automatically when the quantity set in the program
is reached.

Position a jug of water and insert the tap (13) into
it.
Open the steam tap by turning tap (1) and try to
heat water up.
Repeat the same operation with the other dispenser
on the other side of the machine.
Assemble the lter holders (14) in the units, position
the cups under them and dispense by pressing one
of the buttons (5), (6), (7), (8) according to the lter
holder that was assembled (see the OPERATION
paragraph).
During dispensing, check that the pump pressure
shown by pressure gauge (11) is approx. 9 bar.
WARNING: during dispensing,
check that the pump pressure is
between 0.9 and 1 Bar (0.09 - 0.1
MPa).
If pressure is not within range "A", it
must be adjusted. Call the Technical
service for the adjustment.
Turn off the machine by bringing the main switch
(2) to “O”.
The LEDs (3) and displays turn off.
Close the water supply with the relevant tap.

specialised and authorised technician, while the machine is operating and with
the utmost care; these operations are described in the relevant technical manual

11. DESCRIPTION OF CONTROLS
Steam tap knob (1)
When turned anti-clockwise, the knob dispenses
steam from the steam tap (2).
To stop dispensing steam, turn the knob clockwise
to close the tap.
Button panel (3)

Button for espresso coffee dispensing (A)
Place a cup under the single lter holder, then press
the button to start dispensing coffee.

Button for long black coffee dispensing (B)
Place a cup under the single lter holder, then press
the button to start dispensing long black coffee.

Place two cups under the double lter holder, then press the

Place two cups under the double lter holder, then press the
button to start dispensing two coffees.

Button for continuous dispensing (E)
Position a cup of suitable capacity for the desired coffee
quantity under the lter holders.
Press the button to start dispensing coffee.
The LED of the selected button remains on for the
entire dispensing, while all other LEDs turn off.
When the desired coffee quantity is reached, press the
button again to stop dispensing; after 120 seconds the
dispensing stops automatically.
Button for hot water dispensing (F)
Position a cup of suitable capacity for the desired water
quantity under the tap.
Press the button to start dispensing; the LED of the
selected button remains on for the entire dispensing,
while all other LEDs turn off.
Dispensing automatically stops when the quantity set
in the program is reached.
Dispensing can be stopped pressing the button.

11.1 - DISPLAY
The display is a touch-screen; during normal operation
of the machine the following screen is shown, while
during programming the screens shown on the display
are described in the relevant paragraph.
The following information is displayed on the screen:
1) Water level in the boiler
2) Boiler temperature
3) Unit temperature
4) Operation description/alarms
5) Day of the week
6) Time
7) Cup heating element on
12 - PROGRAMMING
The machine can be programmed on the display with
the Touch function.
12.1 - PROGRAMMING DOSES
The quantity of dispensing coffee can be programmed
for all buttons, except button (1) which is used for
continuous dispensing.
WARNING: when the left button pan-
el is programmed, the programmed
doses are automatically transferred
to the other button panels.
The coffee doses can be customised for each dis-
pensing unit by repeating the operations performed
in the rst unit on the left for each unit.
Programming coffee doses
Start the machine as described in the relevant para-
graph.
Program the doses as follows:
Fit the lter holder with coffee on the left unit of the
machine, as shown in the "OPERATION" paragraph.
Position a cup or two cups under the unit according
to the type of programming to be performed.
Press button (1). for at least 5 seconds until
the relevant LED (2) turns on ashing; the following
message is shown on the display:
PROGRAMMING DOSES SELECT IN 30 sec

Within 30 seconds, press the dispensing button
to be programmed, e.g. button (3) (single
espresso coffee).
While dispensing, the button LED (3) remains
on, the other button LEDs turn off and the LED of
button (1) ashes.
When the coffee reaches the desired quantity in
the cup, press button (3) to stop dispensing;
the quantity of dispensed coffee for that button will
be stored, the button LED (3) turns off while
the other LEDs of the buttons that still need to be
stored turn on.
If necessary, repeat the aforementioned opera-
tions to program the other buttons as well; after
30 seconds without using any button, the dose
programming stage will be quitted.
Programming tea doses
Enter the programming function as described for
the coffee, then when LED (2) of button (1)
turns on ashing, press button (4) to start
dispensing hot water; when the desired quantity is
reached press button (4) again to stop dispensing.
After 30 seconds without using any button, the dose
programming stage will be quitted.
