Do not repair the unit yourself. Only have it serviced by qualified personnel.
CAUTION: When replacing the unit’s power adaptors, the replacement must be exactly the
same or one recommended by the manufacturer. Do not replace the plug or cord
yourself!
Align the power plug properly and insert it fully to prevent electric shock.

General Safety Instructions
Read this manual thoroughly before first use and keep it in a safe place for future
reference. The safety precautions enclosed herein reduce the risk of fire, electric
shock and injury when correctly adhered to.
This set employs an optical laser beam system in the disc mechanism
designed with built-in safeguards. Do not attempt to disassemble.
Exposure to this invisible laser light beam may be harmful to the human
eye.
This is a Class-1 laser product. Use of controls, adjustments or procedures
other than those specified herein may result in hazardous laser light beam
exposure.
This DVD player should not be adjusted or repaired by anyone except
qualified service personnel. The laser mechanism corresponds to the stylus
(needle) of a record player. Although this product uses a laser pick-up lens,
it is completely safe when operated according to directions.
LASER SAFETY
Please read and observe all warnings and instructions in this manual and those
marked on the unit. Retain this booklet for future reference.
Location
Place the unit away from any heat sources, radiators or other products (including amplifiers)
that produce heat.
Position the cord so no one is likely to walk on it, pinch it or place items on or against it.
Do not position the unit in an enclosed car, in places with high temperatures (40°C or higher)
or high humidity (90% or higher), or exposed to direct sunlight.
The product is a Class II or double insulated electrical appliance. It has been
designed in such a way that it does not require connection to electrical earth.

Do not use the equipment in excessively dirty places.
Do not expose the unit to water or any other liquid to avoid contact with dangerous voltage
points and parts that could result in short-circuit.
This device is for indoor use only.
Usage Conditions
Openings on the cabinet are provided for ventilation and to protect the unit from
overheating. To ensure proper operation, do not cover them.
Do not place heavy objects on top of the appliance or step on it.
Do not place foreign objects on the disc tray.
Keep your fingers off the disc tray as it closes to avoid injury or damage.
Maintenance
Unplug the unit from power before cleaning. Do not use liquid or aerosol cleaners.
This unit is transistorised and does not contain any parts you can repair yourself. Do not
open it or attempt to repair it. Opening or removing covers may expose you to dangerous
voltage or other hazards.
If the unit has been damaged, have it serviced or repaired by qualified personnel.
When replacing parts, make sure the service technician only uses parts recommended by
the manufacturer.
Upon completion of service or repair of the unit, ask the service technician to perform safety
checks to ensure the unit is in proper operating condition.
Disturbances
When you place the unit near a TV, radio or VCR, the playback picture quality may deteriorate
and the sound may be distorted. To avoid these problems, place the unit away from these
appliances.
Disc Protection
Do not touch the playback side of the disc.
Do not attach tape or paper to the disc. To clean off dust, slightly moisten a soft cloth and
finish with a dry cloth.
Do not use any type of solvent, commercially available benzene or antistatic spray for vinyl
LPs, as these may damage the discs.
When Not in Use
Unplug the unit from the power outlet after use to avoid possible damage during electrical
storms, or when the equipment will be unattended or unused for a long period of time.
When the unit is not in use, be sure to remove the disc and turn it off.

TITLE:To open the Title menu of a disc.
POPUP: Shows and hides popup menu.
DOWN: Navigates through the Menus.
A-B: Press A-B can repeat playback of a user defined section.
PLAY/PAUSE:Start(resume)/pause play.

Remote Control (Cont.)
Using the Remote Control
Most instructions are based on remote control operation, unless otherwise
noted. When they have the same function, you can use the buttons on
the remote control or on the main unit. However, some functions are only
available on the remote control.
The remote requires two AAA size batteries (Don’t included) that need to be
inserted in the battery compartment at the back of the remote control.
Press and tap on the cover to open the battery compartment.
Place new batteries of the same type and size, following the polarity
markings (+ / -), inside the compartment.
Replace the cover.
NOTE: If the remote control will not be used for a long time, take out
the batteries and store the remote control in a cool and dry place, out of
direct sunlight.
When using the remote control, aim it at the unit.
When replacing old batteries, ensure that both batteries are replaced at
the same time
.
Precautions When Using Batteries
Do not use any other battery than specified.
Danger of explosion if battery is incorrectly replaced.
Note that there are chargeable and non-chargeable batteries. Do not attempt to charge non-
chargeable batteries.
Dispose of batteries promptly and properly follow any guidelines for recycling and disposal
of batteries that apply in your local area.
Keep batteries away from children and pets.
Never throw batteries into a fire or expose them to fire or other sources of extreme heat.
Do not carry or store batteries with other metallic objects. Doing so could cause batteries to
short-circuit, leak or explode.
Do not attempt to disassemble battery.

Note: The Video Out port does not support Blu-ray disc output, it only
supports DVD and VCD disc video output. Please use the HDMI port to
output video when playing Blu-ray discs.

Basic Operations
Turn On
Press
POWER to turn on the Blu-ray disc player.
Turn on the TV and switch to the correct video input (refer to the TV user
manual).
Setup Menu
Press the
SETUP button to display the setup menu on the TV screen.
When a menu is displayed, use the
/ / / buttons on the remote control
to navigate.
Note: During Blu-ray disc playback, the setup menu will not appear. Press the
button, then press the SETUP button to enter the menu. After that you can
continue from where you left off.
Select a Language
1. Select ‘General Settings’ in the SETUP nenu.
2. Use the
\ buttons to select the Language.
3. Press the button to select the OSD and press the button again to enter
the selection menu - then you can select the language you want.
4. Press
OK to confirm.
Play a Disc
1. Press
to open the disc compartment.
2. Insert a disc with the labelled side facing up.
3. Press
to close the disc compartment. The disc will play automatically.

feature is disc-dependent.
POPUP: will access the BD-video disc menu without interrupting disc play.
DVD-video Disc Display Menu
TOP MENU: will display the root menu of a disc.
DISPLAY will display disc information and guide you through the available
functions on the disc.

playback. Pressing this button again will
save an “end point” for repeated playback.
Playback will repeat from the start point to
the end point. The marked section for repeat
play should be for one track/title.
PROGRAM
Edit the program and play.
GOTO
Jump to a user specified time during
playback.
OSC
Access options relating to the current activity
or selection, and control the video playback.

Playing a Blu-ray Video Disc
Blu-ray video discs have larger capacity and support features such as high-
definition video, multichannel surround sound, interactive menus and so on.
1. Insert a BD-video disc.
2. Playback will automatically start, or select a play option in the menu and
press
OK.
3. During playback, you can press TOP MENU to display additional
information, features or content store on the disc.
4. During playback, you can press POP UP to display the disc menu without
interrupting disc play.
5. During playback, press the [OSC] button on the RMC - the ON SCREEN
MENU will be displayed.
Second Video BD-V
Displays the state of the second Video. Use
to open the second video
selection box, then press \ to select the full screen video and the second
video window.

Displays the state of the second Audio. Press the
button to open the
selection box, then press \ to switch the audio output on/off.

Photo Slideshow
You can view JPEG files on the player as a slideshow.
1. Insert a disc or USB device that contains JPEG files.
2. Select a Photo folder, then press
OK to open the folder.
3. To select a Photo, use the Navigation buttons.
4. To enlarge the selected Photo and start a slideshow, press
OK.
Note:
It may require more time to display the disc content on your TV if there is
a large number of songs/photos compiled onto one disc.
This player can only display digital camera photos in the JPEG-EXIF
format, which is used by most digital cameras. It cannot display Motion
JPEG, or Pictures in formats other than JPEG, or sound clips associated
with Pictures.
Folders/files that exceed the supported limit of this product cannot be
displayed or played.
Controlling Photo slideshow
1. Begin a Photo slideshow.
2. Use the remote control to control the play as follows:

Set slideshow interval and animation
1. During slideshow playback, press OSC. The options menu will be
displayed.
2. Navigate the options with the Navigation button.
3. Select an option in the menu, then press

Playing music during a Photo slideshow
Create a musical slideshow to play both CD music files and JPEG Photo files
simultaneously.
Note: Create a musical slideshow, you must store the CD and JPEG files on
the same disc as the photos.
1. Select your CD music to play and start play-back.
2. Press Media Center to return to the main menu.
3. Navigate to enter a photo folder, then press
OK to start slideshow play.
• Slideshow begins and continues till the end of the photo folder.
• Audio continues to play until the end of the disc.
• To stop the slideshow play, Press
• To stop the music play, press again.

General Settings
• Press twice during playback.
• Press
SETUP, to display the SETUP MENU.
• Select a main menu using the

• Select a sub-menu by using the

• To confirm an option use the

• Screen Saver: Turns the screen saver
on/off. The screen saver will display in 3
mins if there is no operation when the unit
is turned on.
• Disc Auto Playback: Turns the disc auto
playback function on/off.
• Disc Auto Upgrade: Turns the disc auto
upgrade function on/off.
• Load Default: Return the player to its default settings.
Upgrade: Select this when you want to upgrade your player software to the
latest version.

• Change Password: Change the password for
parental control menu.

Video Processing
Video Adjust: Enter the submenu to adjust the
video display.
Adjust the Brightness, Contrast, Hue, Saturation
of the screen to suit.
