Product Safety
• This product is designed such that with proper assembly, mounting
and operation cause no damage to the vehicle.
• This product should be installed, maintained and operated only by an
adult. If in doubt, consult a professional.
• Assembly must be carried out in accordance with the instructions.
• Keep children and pets away while assembling the product.
• Do not let children climb on or play with the product.
• Do not use this product if any parts are missing, damaged, or worn.
• Do not overtighten the fasteners.
• Never exceed the maximum load capacity of 165 lbs (75 kg).
• The loads must be secured against slipping using appropriate belts
(not elastic belts / bungees with or without hooks).
• The lock on the product must be secured during transport.
• All loose accessories or removable parts of the loads must be
removed before loading onto this product.
• The loads must be distributed evenly, with the centre of gravity
keeping as low as possible.
• No modification on the product is permitted.
• When carrying several surfboards, they must be placed on top of the
other (but not beside each other).
• Skis must be carried with the pointed ends facing towards the rear of
the vehicle.
• Some types of sunroof and radio antenna cannot be used when the
product is fitted.
• Leaving the product on the vehicle can cause a drag in speed. To
conserve fuel and for other road safety reasons, the product must be
dismantled from the vehicle when not in use.
Inspection
• Before any journey, all screw connections, connections of the roof
bars and other supports must be checked for firmness and tightness.
• This product and loads must be checked at suitable intervals - after
500 km at the latest - for firmness and tightness. Tighten the load’s
securing straps whenever necessary.
• On bad terrain, a check on all connections (including screw
connections) must be repeated at an interval of 2 hours of driving.
