If the hot water has not been used tin two weeks or more, prevent tile possibili Wot damage or injuU by turning on
all hot water timcels and allotting them to mn for several minutes. Do this betore using any elecuical appliance
which is connected to the hot water system. This simple procedure will alh_wany buih-up hydrogen gas to escape.
Since the gas is flammable, do not smoke or use an open flame or appliance during this process.

(fiflerent chemicals can produce a toxic gas which
may cause death.
Do not wash or dU articles that have been cleaned in,
washed in, soaked in, or spotted with combustible or
explosive subslam_s (such as wax, oil, paint, gasoline,
de_easers, dr?cleaning solvents, kerosene, etc,) which
may ignite or explode. Do not add these substances to
tlle wash water. Do not use or place tllese substances
around your washer or dryer during operation.
Tile laund U process can reduce the flame retardancy
of fabrics. To avoid such a resuh, carefiflly tollow tile
garment manufacturer's wash and care instructions.
To minimize tile possibility of elecuic shock, unplug
this appliance fiom the power supply or disconnect
the washer at the h{)usehold distribution panel by

Wash/Spin Speed
The agitator moves clothes around fi)r a cleaner wash; the basket spins later in the o_cle to release
water fiom the load. The Wash/Spin Speed dial sets the speed of both the agitator and the basket.
With Normal wash speed, the agitator moves faster. Use ti)r cottons, denims and play clothes. With
Genie wash speed, the agitator inoves slower. Use ti)r delicate and knit items.
The Fast spin speed is fin durable items. The Slow spin speed is tk)r delicate items like sweaters and
lingerie. Clothes'_411 be less (hTthan when using Fast spin speed.

Liquid Bleach Dispenser (on some models)
The dispenser dilutes liquid chlorine bleach beiore it reaches into y_)ur wash h)ad.

Loadingthe Washer
I,oad dry items loosely, no higher than the top
row of holes in the washer tub. When loading wet
itelns make sure you set the load/water level high
enough to allow the items to move fleely. Water
level shouldjust cover the clothes. To acid items
after washer has started, push in Cycle Dial and
submerge additional items next to the agitator.
(lose the lid and pull Cycle Dial out to restart.
Do not wrap large items like sheets around the
agitator
Do not wash fabrics containing flammable
materials (waxes, cleaning fluids, etc.).
Agitation will not start with the lid up.
