Your Tahoe or Yukon 2-Mode Hybrid
drives just like a regular vehicle, but it
has several fuel-saving features that
increase vehicle efficiency and maximize
fuel economy. The hybrid features of
your vehicle are enabled after the
engine warms up to proper operating
temperature.
Your 2-Mode Hybrid vehicle includes
electric motors housed in the electrically
variable hybrid transmission, a Vortec
V8 engine with Active Fuel Manage-
ment™ and a 300-volt Energy Storage
System. The V8 engine is not designed
for E85 fuel.
A sophisticated electronic control
module selects the most efficient mode
of operation based on the amount of
power demanded by the driver and
battery charge level.
In the first mode, under light accelera-
tion and at speeds between 20 and 30
mph, the vehicle may be powered by
only the electric motors, the engine,
or a combination of both.
The fuel-saving electric-only feature is
referred to as Auto Stop. It will turn off
the engine until the driver requests
increased power or the hybrid battery
needs charging.
The second mode is used primarily at
highway speeds and when trailering, in
conjunction with the engine’s Active Fuel
Management, to optimize fuel economy
while providing power when conditions
demand it.
The hybrid battery stores power for use
when the vehicle’s engine is off while in
Auto Stop mode and supplies power for
the various electric motors used in the
2-Mode Hybrid system. The hybrid
battery is recharged by the vehicle
during deceleration and while braking.
It does not need to be plugged into an
electrical outlet.

DRIVING YOUR HYBRID
Typical Hybrid Sounds
Your hybrid vehicle has several electric
motors, including the motors in the
transmission that help power the vehicle
as well as the air conditioning compres-
sor, brake pump, coolant pumps and,
within the Hybrid Energy Storage
System, a cooling fan and electrical
contactor switches. At times, you may
hear these motors start up or stop, and
they might produce a slight whirring,
humming or blowing sound typical of
electric motors. These are normal
sounds found on a hybrid vehicle and
may be more noticeable when the vehi-
cle is operating in the Auto Stop mode
with the engine off.
Your hybrid vehicle also does not make
an audible starter noise when starting
the vehicle. Therefore, it may seem to
take slightly longer to start than a non-
hybrid vehicle. If the key is not held in
the start position long enough, the vehi-
cle will not start but the instrument panel
cluster warning lights will illuminate,
requiring the key to be turned to the
start position again. You may also expe-
rience a perceived hesitation when
selecting Reverse after starting the
vehicle.

The economy gauge shows when
vehicle fuel economy is being
maximized. Driving with the needle in
the solid green area indicates driving
behavior that maximizes fuel economy.
Accelerating too aggressively will move
the needle to the right, while braking
too aggressively will move the needle to
the left. Either of these behaviors will
move the needle outside the green area,
indicating less fuel efficient driving.

Economy Gauge
The automatic engine stop/start feature,
known as Auto Stop, turns off the engine
at lower speeds until the Hybrid Energy
Storage System needs charging or the
driver requests increased power.
While the vehicle is in Auto Stop mode,
the needle on the tachometer moves to
the AUTO STOP position. The oil pres-
sure gauge also will drop to zero. While
lightly accelerating, the vehicle will be
propelled only by the electric motors.
During heavy acceleration, both the
engine and electric motors supply
power. A sensation similar to a transmis-
sion gear change may be felt as the
vehicle changes between engine power
and electric power.
Automatic Engine Stop/Start
Operation
The Engine Will Remain
Running When:
The engine may remain running under
certain conditions. Some conditions
that would lead to an engine Auto Stop
override include:
Driving in Reverse.
The engine or transmission is not yet
warmed up.
The transmission temperature or
Energy Storage System (ESS)
temperature is high.
The engine is required to run to help
achieve the selected climate control
heating and/or cooling setting.
The Hybrid ESS charge is low.
The hood is not fully closed.
The Check Engine light is illuminated.
When playing the radio or using
electrical accessories with the vehicle
off, do not leave the key in the ACC
position for more than 30 minutes.
Instead, leave the vehicle running
and rely on the Auto Stop feature to
supply power.

While in Auto Stop, all of the regular
vehicle features are available, such as
power steering and brakes, the audio
system and power accessories.
After parking the vehicle and turning off
the engine by rotating the key to the Off
position, the tachometer needle will
move to the Off position.

Hybrid Energy Storage System
Your vehicle has a standard 12-volt
battery, located under the hood, and a
300-volt Hybrid Energy Storage System
(ESS). The Hybrid ESS, located under
the 2nd-row seats, provides power to
the system’s electric motors and will
recharge itself as necessary during idle,
driving, and/or when braking efficiently.
The vehicle will charge the high voltage
ESS when it is most efficient to charge,
and discharge it when it is most efficient
to discharge.

Regenerative Braking
Regenerative braking recaptures some
of the energy from the moving vehicle
when coasting or braking and turns it into
electrical energy. This energy is then

ior is a big contributor to your vehicle’s
fuel economy. Modifying your driving
habits will improve your fuel mileage.
Here are several fuel-saving tips:
Combine short trips to minimize cold
engine starts, which reduce fuel
economy.
Avoid quick starts and stops.
Accelerate moderately and drive at a
steady speed.
Anticipate traffic flow and brake
moderately or coast.
Use the air conditioning and defrost
modes only when necessary.
Minimize electrical accessory opera-
tion by turning off items such as the
Maximizing Fuel Economy
rear defogger and heated seats when
they are not needed.
Use the remote start feature sparing-
ly. This feature turns the engine on,
consuming fuel at idle.
Do not warm up the engine by idling.
Even on the coldest days, driving will
help the engine warm up faster.
Selecting the AUTO feature on 4WD
models is less economical than 2WD.
Unload unnecessary cargo to reduce
the amount of weight in the vehicle.
Regularly check and maintain proper
tire pressure.
Maintain your vehicle. Regular
maintenance will keep your vehicle
running cleaner and more efficiently.
With the engine off in Auto Stop mode,
certain conditions may require the
engine to restart. Some conditions that
would lead to an engine restart include:
The accelerator pedal is applied,
demanding heavy acceleration. This
will not occur when the vehicle is
in Park.
The engine is required to run to help
achieve the selected climate control
heating and/or cooling setting.
The Hybrid Energy Storage System
charge becomes low and requires
recharging.
Shifting into Reverse.
When the hood is unlatched or open.

The Engine Will Restart When:

Your vehicle has a 300-volt, electrically
powered air conditioning compressor
that provides continuous air conditioning
operation and passenger comfort while
the engine cycles on and off.
When operating the climate control sys-
tem, select the AUTO mode and the
desired temperature setting to allow the
system to automatically adjust fan speed
and airflow direction. In the AUTO mode,
the system makes adjustments to make
the most efficient use of electrical power.
To get the most engine off time and the
highest fuel savings, select a higher
temperature setting or turn off the air
conditioning. Continuous air conditioning
use can cause the engine to start more
frequently when in the Auto Stop mode.
Due to the quiet operation of the
vehicle, especially when the engine has
turned off, some noise may be heard
occasionally from the air conditioning
compressor.
Electric Air Conditioning
Compressor
To view the hybrid system information
on the Navigation Entertainment
System, press the MENU hard key, and
then touch the Hybrid screen button.
The hybrid screen has icons of an
engine, battery, transmission and
wheels. While the vehicle is in operation,
these icons will change color indicating
the source of power to the transmission
and, ultimately, the wheels. Power can
be provided entirely by the engine, elec-
tric motors, or a combination of both. An
icon will also indicate when the battery
is being recharged by the regenerative
braking system. A text box at the bottom
of the screen will indicate the current
method of power.

Hybrid System Information
In emergency situations, First Respond-
ers needing to disable the 300-volt
energy storage system will see that the
12-volt battery cables are clearly labeled
in the engine compartment and, when
cut, will disable the 300-volt system.

Emergency/First Responders
stored in the vehicle’s Hybrid Energy
Storage System for later use by the
hybrid system, contributing to increased
fuel economy.
The braking system is computer
controlled and blends the operation of
the regenerative braking with the conven-
tional hydraulic disc brakes. The system
applies the brakes through a high pres-
sure accumulator. You may hear the
motor-driven pump when it runs to
recharge the accumulator pressure. This
recharging cycle is normal. Pumping the
brake pedal repeatedly uses the reserved
accumulator pressure more quickly.

Driver Information Center
Your vehicle’s Driver Information Center
(DIC) provides vehicle information,
vehicle warning messages and vehicle
feature customization. The DIC mes-
sages will be shown on your instrument
panel cluster display. To operate the DIC,
the ignition switch must be on.
DIC Buttons
The following
DIC buttons are
located on the
right side of the

Press this but-
ton to display
the compass, outside temperature,
odometer, trip odometer, fuel range,
average economy, fuel used, timer, trans-
mission temperature, instantaneous
economy, Active Fuel Management™

(Vehicle Information): Press this
button to display the oil life, English/
Metric units, tire pressures, engine hours
and Remote Keyless Entry programming.
(Customization): Press this button to
customize certain vehicle features to your
preference.
(Set/Reset): Press this button to set
or reset certain vehicle functions as well
as acknowledge DIC messages.

Compass Operation
To adjust for compass variance when
traveling on a long-distance trip or to
calibrate the compass, refer to your
Owner Manual.
Warning Lights
The DIC provides a variety of vehicle
messages (depending on optional equip-
ment) as well as warnings if a problem
is sensed in a vehicle system.
To acknowledge a message and
clear it from the display, press any
of the DIC buttons. Some urgent
messages cannot be cleared.
If you have a current OnStar subscrip-
tion and a warning message appears,
you can press the OnStar button and
speak to an OnStar Advisor. In many
vehicles, OnStar Advisors can access
certain diagnostic information and can
tell you how serious the problem is and
what you should do about it.

Note: Your vehicle’s warning lights pro-
vide critical information that can prevent
damage to your vehicle. Review your
Owner Manual to become familiar with
the information and the action required.
SAFETY & SECURITY
Remote Keyless Entry
The Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) trans-
mitter includes the following functions:
(Remote Vehicle Start): This feature
can be used to start the engine from
outside the vehicle. (See Remote
Vehicle Start on page 21.)
(Lock): Press this button to lock all
the doors. If enabled through the Driver
Information
Center (DIC),
the parking
lamps will
flash once
and/or the
horn will chirp
to indicate
locking has
occurred.
(Unlock): Press this button to unlock
the driver’s door. If the button is pressed
again within five seconds, all remaining
doors will unlock. If enabled through the
DIC, the parking lamps will flash once to
indicate unlocking has occurred.
(Vehicle Locator/Panic Alarm):
Press this button to locate your vehicle.
The parking lamps will flash and the
horn will sound three times.
Press and hold the button to activate the
panic alarm. The parking lamps will flash
and the horn will sound for 30 seconds.
Press the button again or turn the igni-
tion to Run to cancel the panic alarm.

The power and manual seat controls are
located on the outboard side of the seat.
Power Seat Adjustment
Use the power seat control (A) to
move the seat forward or rearward,
and to raise or lower the front or rear
of the seat cushion.
Lumbar Adjustment
Turn the manual lumbar adjustment
knob (B) to adjust lumbar support.
Recline Adjustment
Lift the manual recline adjustment
lever (C) to adjust the position of the
seatback.

COMFORT
Power Seat Adjustments
To operate the heated seats, the vehicle
must be started. The heated seat opera-
tion is canceled each time the ignition is
turned off.
The following heated front seat controls
are located on the front doors:
(Heated Seatback): Press the top
button to turn on the heated seatback.
(Heated Seat/Seatback): Press the
bottom button to turn on the heated seat
and seatback.

To set the automatic mode:
1. Press the AUTO button.
2. Set the driver’s and front passenger’s
temperature using the + or – temper-
ature buttons.
Manual Operation
To operate the system manually, use the
following controls:
(On/Off): Press this button to turn the
system on or off.
Temperature Control: Press the + or –
temperature button(s) to raise or lower
the setting(s).
(Fan): Press the up or down arrow to
increase or decrease fan speed.
(Airflow Mode): Press the up or
down arrow to change the direction of
the airflow as well as to select the defog
mode.
PASS (Passenger Temperature
Control): Press this button to turn off
the passenger temperature setting.
(Recirculation): Press this button
to recirculate inside air through the vehi-
cle. This mode keeps outside air from
entering the vehicle.
(Air Conditioning): Press this
button to turn the air conditioning system
on or off.
Adjustable Pedals (if equipped)
The accelerator
and brake pedals
can be adjusted
to a comfortable
and safe operat-
ing position by
using the switch
located on the
center console below the climate
controls.
Press the top arrow on the switch to
move the pedals away from you and
press the bottom arrow on the switch to
move the pedals toward you.
The pedals cannot be adjusted when the
vehicle is in Reverse or when cruise
control is activated.

Automatic Climate Controls
Automatic Operation
The automatic climate control system is
able to maintain the desired individual
temperature for the driver and front
seat passenger. The system adjusts the
airflow mode, fan speed, air conditioning
and recirculation functions to reach
the set temperature(s) as quickly as
possible.
Continue to press the desired button to
cycle through the temperature settings
of High (three indicator lights), Medium
(two indicator lights), Low (one indicator
light) and Off (all indicator lights are off).

AUX or REAR (Rear Climate Control):
Press this button to turn the rear climate
control system on or off. The button
indicator will illuminate when the rear
system is on.
(Defrost): Press this button to
direct most of the air to the windshield
and some air to the side window outlets.
(Rear Window Defogger): Press
this button to activate the rear window
defogger and the heated outside
rearview mirrors. The defogger and
heated mirrors will shut off automatically
or can be turned off by pressing the but-
ton again.

Rear Seat Climate Controls
The rear seat climate control system
can be operated using the front climate
controls on the instrument panel, or the
rear control panel located on the back of
the floor console.
To turn the rear system on or off using
the front controls, press the AUX or
REAR button on the front control panel.
The settings in the rear will be the same
as the driver’s until they are changed
using the rear controls.
Rear Controls with RSA
To operate the system, use the rear
controls that are integrated with the
Rear Seat Audio (RSA) controls. Once
the system is adjusted using the rear
controls, the system operates according
to the rear control panel settings.
Rear controls include:
AUTO: Press the (Airflow Mode)
button until AUTO is displayed to auto-
matically control temperature, airflow
and fan speed.
(Fan): Press the up or down fan
arrow to manually adjust fan speed.
Continue to press the down fan arrow
to turn off the system.
(Airflow Mode): Press the Airflow
Mode button to manually adjust the
direction of the airflow.
Temperature Control: Press the + or –
temperature button to adjust the setting.

System Controls
To operate the Navigation Entertainment
System, press the hard keys next to
the touch screen to access the main
menus. Touch the words or commands
shaped like a button in the on-screen
menus and submenus to select system
functions.
The controls and hard keys of the
system include:
(Power/Volume): Press this knob to
turn the system on or off. Turn the knob
to adjust the volume.
(Tune/Sound): Press this knob to
change tone/speaker positions or audio
settings. Turn the knob to tune in a radio
station.
NAV (Navigation): Press this key to
view the map screen.
DEST (Destination): Press this key to
access the destination entry screen.
RPT (Navigation Repeat): Press this
key to repeat the last voice guidance
prompt.
FAV (Favorite): Press this key to
access the preset radio stations.

Navigation Entertainment
System
AUDIO: Press this key to access the full
audio screen.
MENU: Press this key to adjust features
for sound, radio, navigation and the
display.
(SEEK): Press these keys to
seek radio stations, CD tracks or DVD
chapters.
Before presetting radio stations or enter-
ing a navigation destination, shift the
vehicle into Park.
Setting Radio Station Presets
You can set up to six pages of any
combination (AM, FM, or XM, if
equipped) of preset radio stations,
with up to five stations on each page.
To set the number of favorite station
pages:
1. Press the MENU hard key to access
the menu screen.
2. Touch the Radio screen button.
3. Touch the FAV (Number of Preset

for specific audio stations or navigation
features by using buttons and knobs —
or giving extended attention to entertain-
ment tasks — can lead you to look away
from the road frequently or for prolonged
periods, which may cause you to miss
seeing things on the road that you need
to see. Be sure to keep your eyes on the
road and mind on the drive — and avoid
engaging in extended searching for
specific items while driving.

To preset radio stations:
1. Press the AUDIO hard key to access
the audio source screen and select
the desired band (AM, FM, or XM,
if equipped).
2. Use the SEEK hard keys or the Tune
knob to select a station.
3. Press the FAV hard key to select the
desired page of presets (up to six
pages).
4. Touch and hold one of the five radio
preset screen buttons until a beep
sounds or the station is displayed on
the screen button.
Entering a Destination
To have the system provide turn-by-turn
instructions to reach a destination, a
street address or Point of Interest (POI)
must be entered. The vehicle must be in
Park to enter an address.
To set a destination by entering a street
address:
1. Press the DEST hard key.
2. Set or verify the search area corre-
sponds with the final destination.
3. Touch the Address Entry screen
button.
4. Touch the City or Street screen
button and use the on-screen alpha
keypad to enter the city or street
name.
5. Touch the List screen button to select
the desired city or street from a list of
matches with the same name.
6. Touch the House # screen button and
enter the house number.
7. Touch the Go screen button to enter
as a destination.
8. Touch the Start Guidance screen
button.
Setting Preset Destinations
Preset destinations can be helpful when
trying to locate a commonly used loca-
tion (such as your home address) from
unfamiliar areas.
To set a preset destination:
1. Press the MENU hard key until the
navigation setup screen is displayed.
2. Touch the Edit/View Address Book
screen button.
3. Select the address book entry to save
as a preset destination.
4. Press and hold one of the five preset
destination buttons on the bottom of
the screen.
Once saved, the preset will be available
at the bottom of the destination entry
screen (DEST hard key).

Audio Steering Wheel Controls

decrease the volume.
(Next/Previous/End): Press the
up or down arrow to go to the
next or previous radio station stored as
a favorite or, when a CD is playing, to
the next or previous track. Press the
(End) button to end or reject an
OnStar or Bluetooth call.
SRCE (Source): Press this button
to switch between AM, FM, XM (if
equipped), CD and AUX. Press and
hold the button for one second to initiate
navigation system voice recognition.
(Seek): Press this button to go to
the next radio station.
(Mute/Push to Talk): Press this
button to silence the system.
Press and hold the button for two
seconds to interact with the OnStar
or Bluetooth system.

Rear Seat Audio
The Rear Seat Audio (RSA) system
allows front seat and rear seat passen-
gers to listen to different entertainment
sources at the same time using the rear
seat controls and wired headphones
(not supplied) or wireless headphones
(if equipped). The vehicle’s rear speak-
ers may be muted when the rear control
panel is turned on.

6. To control DVD playback, use the
remote control or the buttons under
the labels on the front radio display.
7. To turn off the RSE system, press the
power button on the front radio for
two seconds, eject the DVD or press
the power button on the remote
control.

The Automatic Headlamp System turns
on the Daytime Running Lamps (DRLs)
in the daytime and the headlamps and
other exterior lamps at night or when
necessary.
The system uses a light sensor, located
on top of the instrument panel, to deter-
mine light conditions. For proper opera-
tion, avoid placing any objects on or
near the sensor.
Exterior
Lamps
Control
The exterior
lamps can
be operated
using the
control knob
located on
the left side
of the instrument panel. The knob can
be rotated to the following positions:
AUTO (Automatic Lamp Control):
This position enables the Automatic
Headlamp System.
CONVENIENCE
Automatic Headlamp System/
Exterior Lamps
Press the SRCE (Source) button to
select an entertainment source —
radio, CD, or DVD (if equipped).
Turn the left volume knob to adjust
the volume of the left wired head-
phones and the right volume knob to
adjust the volume of the right wired
headphones.
Rear Seat Entertainment (DVD)
The Rear Seat Entertainment (RSE)
system has all the functions of the RSA
system, with the added features of a
CD/DVD player as part of the front
radio, a flip-down video screen, wireless
headphones and a remote control.
To play a DVD:
1. Turn the ignition to the Accessory or
Run position.
2. Press the release button on the DVD
display console and pull down the
video screen.
3. Insert a DVD into the DVD slot in the
radio. It will begin playing on the
video screen automatically. It may be
necessary to press the Play button on
the RSE system or the remote control
if the DVD stops at a menu screen.
4. To listen to the DVD through the vehi-
cle speakers, press the DVD/CD AUX
button. Adjust volume using the radio
volume control.
5. To listen to the DVD through the
wireless headphones, select channel
1 and push the power button on the
headphones. Adjust volume using the
headphone volume control.
Note: Aim the remote control at the
video screen, not the DVD player,
for proper operation.
(Off/On): Turn the knob to this posi-
tion to turn off the Automatic Headlamp
System and Daytime Running Lamps.
Turn the knob to this position again to
turn on the system.
(Parking Lamps): This position
turns on the parking lamps and
taillamps.
(Headlamps): This position turns
on the headlamps, parking lamps and
taillamps.

Interior Lamps
The following
interior lamp
controls are
located on
the left side
of the instru-
ment panel:
(Instrument Panel Brightness):
Turn this pop-out knob to adjust the
brightness of the instrument panel lights.
(Dome Lamp Override): Press
this button in to turn off the dome
lamps when a door is open. Press the
button again to have the dome lamps
turn on automatically when a door is
open.

Cruise Control
The following
cruise control
buttons are
located on the
left side of the
steering wheel:
(On/Off):
Press this button
to turn the
cruise control
system on or off.
– SET (Set): Press this button to set a
speed, or to decrease the speed if the
system is set. When the cruise control
speed is set, the cruise control light will
illuminate in the instrument cluster.
+ RES (Resume): Press this button to
resume a set speed, or to increase the
speed if the system is set.
(Cancel): Press this button to can-
cel the cruise control but retain the set
speed in memory.

Auto Turn Signal
The turn signal lever includes an auto-
matic lane change signal feature.
To signal a lane change, raise or
lower the lever until the arrow on the
instrument panel cluster starts to
flash, and then release the lever. The
turn signal will automatically flash
three times.
To signal a turn, move the lever all
the way up or down.

Windshield Wipers and Washer
The controls for the windshield wipers
are located on the multifunction lever
on the left side of the steering column.
The wipers band can be rotated to the
following positions:
(Mist): Rotate the band down to this
position to turn the wipers on for one
wipe.
(Off): Rotate the wipers to this
position to turn off the wipers.
(Delay): Rotate the band up to one
of the delay settings to adjust the
amount of delay between wipes. The
wipers activate more often as the band
is rotated upward.
(Low): Rotate the band up to this
position for continuous, low-speed
wiping.
(High): Rotate the wipers band up
to this position for rapid, high-speed
wipes.
(Washer Fluid): Push the paddle
on top of the multifunction lever to spray
washer fluid on the windshield.
Rear Wiper and Washer
The rear wiper and washer controls,
located on the end of the multifunction
lever, include the following functions:
(Off): Slide the switch to this position
to turn off the rear wiper.
Wipers and Washers
(Delay): Slide the switch to this
position to turn on the delayed wiping
setting.
(Rear Wiper): Slide the switch to
this position to turn on the continuous
wiping setting.
(Washer): Press the button on the
end of the lever to spray washer fluid on
the rear window.

Universal Home Remote
The Universal Home Remote is a
universal transmitter that can activate up
to three devices, such as garage door
openers, entry door locks, gates and
security systems.
It’s recommended that you read the
instructions in your Owner Manual com-
pletely before attempting to program any
of the three channels on the Universal
Home Remote. The engine should be
turned off when programming the
remote.

Note: Do not use the Universal Home
Remote with any garage door opener
that does not have the “stop and
reverse” feature or any opener manu-
factured before April 1, 1982.
Note: Hybrid decals on the front
windshield and rear liftgate glass can
be damaged when using ice scrapers.
Use care around the decals to prevent
damage.

Rear Vision Camera
The rear vision camera displays a
view of the area behind the vehicle on
the navigation screen after the vehicle
has been started and is shifted into
Reverse. Once shifted out of Reverse,
the navigation screen will return to the
last screen displayed after approximately
10 seconds.
To turn the camera on or off:
1. Shift into Park.
Ultrasonic Rear Parking Assist
This feature uses ultrasonic sensors
on the rear bumper to help you avoid
colliding with objects when parking the
vehicle. It operates only at speeds less
than 5 mph.
The rear parking assist display is locat-
ed near the rear window. The lights on
the display provide distance information.
Low-toned continuous beeps play out of
the speakers when objects are within 23
inches (0.6 m) of the rear bumper.
To turn off the system, press the
(Rear Parking Assist) disable button
located below the climate controls on
the instrument panel. The indicator light
will illuminate when the system is off.

Sunroof (if equipped)
The following power sunroof switches
are located on the overhead console:
(Express-Open): Press the rear of
this switch completely to express-open
the sunroof. To stop the sunroof, press
the switch again.
To partially open the sunroof, lightly
press and hold the rear of the switch
until the sunroof reaches the desired
position.
(Express-Close): Press the front of
this switch completely to express-close
the sunroof. To stop the sunroof, press
the switch again.
To partially close the sunroof, lightly
press and hold the front of the switch
until the sunroof reaches the desired
position.
(Vent): Press the rear of this switch
to vent the sunroof. Press the switch
again to stop the sunroof.
Press and hold the front of the switch to
close the sunroof.

Display, or touch the Display screen

4. Touch the Rear Camera Options
screen button.

the license plate, rinse with water and
wipe with a soft cloth.

Note: The Ultrasonic Rear Parking Assist
(URPA) system will not activate if you
have a trailer hitch or trailer attached to
your vehicle, or a bicycle or other object
is hanging out of your vehicle. The sys-
tem may also be disabled if dirt, snow or
ice builds up on the sensors.

Folding 2nd-Row Seats
The 2nd-row seats fold and tumble to
provide more cargo space as well as
access to the 3rd-row seats. Before
moving a seat, make sure nothing is
under or in front of the seat and lower
the head restraint.
To fold and tumble the seat:
1. Fold the seatback forward by lifting
the release lever located at the bot-
tom rear of the seatback on the out-
board side of the seat.
2. Tumble the seat forward by lifting the
release lever again.
To unfold the seat:
1. Pull down the seat until it latches to
the floor.
2. Lift up the seatback until it locks in
place. Pull on the seatback to make
sure it is locked.

Folding 3rd-Row Seats
The split 3rd-row seats fold and tumble
to provide more cargo space. Before
moving a seat, make sure nothing is
under or in front of the seat and lower
the head restraint.
To fold and tumble the seat:
1. Fold the seatback forward by lifting
the release lever (A) located at the
bottom rear of the seatback on the
outboard side of the seat.
2. Tumble the seat forward by lifting the
release lever (B) located to the left of
the handle on the center rear of the
seat.
3. Tilt the seat fully forward to lock it
in place.
To unfold the seat:
1. Lower the seat by lifting the release
lever (B) located to the left of the
handle on the center rear of the seat.

The 115-volt,
household-
style power
outlet is
located in
the cargo
area. It is
powered by
your vehicle’s 12-volt battery. With the
ignition turned to the Accessory or On
position, it provides convenient plug-in
power to operate a variety of small
