NOTE FOR INSTALLATION OF THE REMOTE CONTROL:
1. This installation manual contains information regarding installation and use of the remote control.
Refer to the appliance installation manual for connection between the latter and the remote control.
2. The wiring circuit between the appliance and remote control is low voltage.
Do not connect them to a standard 220V/380V circuit or introduce the wiring into the duct with live
cables.
3. The shielded cable must be connected to earth. If this is not the case, it may not operate correctly.
4. Do not attempt to extend the shielded cable. If necessary, use an extension cable with relevant joint
connector.
5. When the connection has been made, do not use a tester to control the level of isolation on the signal
cable.

1. CONNECT TWO TERMINALS OF SHIELDED CABLES WITH 4 WIRES WITH
THE SWITCHING CABLES OF THE REMOTE CONTROL AND OF THE SIGNAL
RECEPTION BOARD. MAKE SURE THAT THE SEQUENCE OF 4 TERMINALS
(A / B / C / D) CORRESPONDS WITH THE SEQUENCE OF SWITCHING CABLES
OF THE SIGNAL (A / B / C / D). (g.3)
2. IF THE SHIELDED CABLES WITH 4 WIRES CANNOT PASS THROUGH THE
REMOTE CONTROL, IT IS POSSIBLE TO USE THE SWITCHING SIGNAL FOR
THE CONNECTION (g.4); MAKE SURE THAT THE CABLES ARE INTEGRAL
AND CONNECTED TIGHTLY.

1.4 - INSTALLATION OF THE REAR COVER
1. Useaattipscrewdrivertoreleasetheretainersandremovetherearcoverfromthebox.
Turnthescrewdriverasindicatedingure5.1inordernottodamagethecover.
2. Use three M4x20 screws to install the upper cover directly onto the wall. (Fig.5.2)
3. Use two M4x25 to install the rear cover on the electric box (switch-holder) and then use a M4x20 GB950-
86screwtoxittothewall.(Fig.5.3)
4.Tightentherearcovertotheelectricbox,makingsurethatthecoverrestsonthewall.(g.5.4)
5. Check that the cover is aligned and then position the front cover on the rear cover.
Make sure there are no cables that could become jammed.
6. Press the front cover onto the rear cover until they are attached.
Check that the front cover is stable and correctly attached.

1.6 - INSTALLATION OF THE FRONT COVER
IMPORTANT
Position the front cover on the lower cover and attach it by pressing delicately from the top
downwards(g.9).
Make sure that the connection cables to not remain entangled between the front cover and
the rear cover.
The front cover must be attached correctly to the lower cover so that it cannot release and
fall(g.10).
1.7 - INITIAL SETTING OF THE WIRED REMOTE CONTROL PARAMETERS
1. Modify the appliance functions by adjustment of the parameters, the details of which are given in the
table.
2. The initial parameter of the remote control includes two codes “XY”;therstcode“X” indicates the class
of functions, the second code “Y”indicatesthedetailedcongurationofthisfunction.
3. Setting method:
- Hold the MODE and FAN keys down for 5 seconds to enter the parameters setting
status;

- Thevalueoftherstcode“X” is “0”; press the temperature setting keys
and to adjust the value of the second code;
- After having set the value of the second code, press the key to save and pass to the next
code;
- When reaching code “6”, press the key to exit parameters setting.
4. The remote control is factory-set. Change the parameters only is particular operating conditions are

4 - INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

ELECTRICALLY OR ONTO THE GAS APPLIANCE OR INFLAMMABLE
SUBSTANCES. FIRE HAZARD.
DO NOT USE THE REMOTE CONTROL WITH WET OR DAMP HANDS.
DO NOT ALLOW WATER (OR OTHER LIQUIDS) TO ENTER THE ELECTRICALLY-
CONNECTED REMOTE CONTROL. IF THIS IS NOT THE CASE, ELECTRIC
SHOCKS MAY OCCUR.
4.1 - REMOTE SIGNAL RECEPTION FUNCTION
Once wired, the wired remote control can be used as a signal reception device; when the appliance is on,
it is possible to use the wireless remote control (supplied with the appliance) to control the fan coil through
the wired remote control.

NOTE:
The wired remote control does not receive the vertical swing control instructions.
To activate/deactivate this function, it is necessary to operate on the relevant key of the wired
remote control.
4.2 - SWITCHING THE APPLIANCE ON/OFF
Press the ON/OFF key to switch the appliance on or off.
When the appliance is off, press the ON/OFF key and the appliance starts; the icon on the display
switches on.
By pressing the ON/OFF key, the appliance stops and the icon on the display switches off.
4.3 - SETTING THE OPERATING MODE
Press the key one or more times to set the operating mode.
The operating mode is selected in the following order
AUTO >
(COOL) Cooling >
 (DRY)Dehumidication>
(HEAT) Heating >
(FAN) Ventilation >
AUTO .....
The icon corresponding to the function selected switches on (in the upper part of the display).
NOTE:
When the controller has been set at COOL ONLY, there is no HEAT.
4.4 - SETTING FAN SPEED
In Cooling (COOL), Heating (HEAT) and Ventilation (FAN) mode, press the key one or more times
to adjust the fan speed according to the following sequence:
AUTO>LOW(Minimum)>MID(Medium)>HIGH(Maximum)≤AUTO....
• The indicates the speed level selected.
NOTE:
In AUTO and DRY modes, the fan speed is pre-determined and cannot be adjusted.

4.5 - SETTING THE TEMPERATURE
In the operating modes (with exception of the FAN mode), the temperature can be adjusted from 17°C
to 30°C (62°F to 88°F) using the and keys.
NOTE:
The temperature cannot be adjusted in FAN mode.
4.6 - SETTING THE ON/OFF TIMER
Press the key to set the timer on/off function. The and icon are shown on the display.
Press the and keys to adjust the timer in switch-on mode.
When the timer setting is lower than 10 hours, every time the and keys are pressed, the
time will increase or decrease by 30 minutes.
When the timer setting is higher than 10 hours, every time the and keys are pressed, the
time will increase or decrease by 1 hour.
After having set the timer, press the keyorwait5secondstoconrmthesettingandexitthe
function.
Press the key to set the timer in switch-off mode.
Operate as described to set the timer in switch-on mode.
To deactivate the timer function, press the key to enter the function, and then set the switch on and
switch off values at 0:0h.
NOTE:
If the wired remote control has been set at timer ON/OFF, press ON/OFF to switch the unit on/off.
4.7 - SETTING THE CLOCK
Hold the key down for 3 seconds to enter the current time setting functions.

Press the or keystoconrmthetimeandsettheminutes.
Adjust the minutes using the and keys.
Press the keyorwait5secondstoconrmthesettingandexitthefunction.
4.8 - SILENT OPERATING MODE
• In COOL (Cooling), HEAT (Heating) and FAN (Ventilation) mode, press the key to set the “silent”
function. With this function active, the motor fan speed lowers, consequently decreasing the noise of the
appliance.
NOTE:
This mode cannot be selected in AUTO and DRY (dehumidication) mode.
